This is Chris Jericho's entrance from AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 22, 2021 in front of a sold out Arthur Ashe Stadium. The fun part starts at 0:50
Every time I see another angle from this building, I become more and more convinced it's one of the best wrestling venues I've ever seen. Unlike hockey areas or footabll stadiums, the more square shape and vertical build really allows them to pack in a ton of fans without seemingly creating a single bad seat in the house. I hope to see a lot more shows there (and in similar buildings) in the future.
@@Coolkid19990 this segment was after midnight. It was halfway through rampage and some had left. I actually left right after recording this. I had to be at work at 6am and it was an hour to get home. This show was completely sold out except for the two upper sections they didn't sell. Show started at 7 and ended after 1am
@@Coolkid19990 Not really. Most empty seats are in small chunks, dispersed throughout the various levels, which is generally associated with people being out for bathrooms, concessions, merch, having left early as the OP explained, etc. If it was a sales issue they'd be consolidated and up at the top where they wouldn't be visible to camera. Another tell-tale sign that this isn't a sales issue is how far back the people go in the upper levels. If it was a sales issue you'd expect entirely empty rows at the back, but people go right up to the top. Instead what you see is the back entire sections being basically empty, which is usually the case when they were never listed for sale in the first place because they don't have view of the stage, etc. but (in venues that allow it) some people will move from higher up seats and sit lower in these unsold sections.
@@Coolkid19990 Oh and then there's the private boxes, sure, but those don't get sold to the general public (hence "private") so if the people that own those aren't wrestling fans, they're going to be empty.
AEW fan base consists of mainly guys between the ages of 19-28. They’re just a bunch of drunk kids just trying to be a part of the show. They’re always actively looking for any reason they can find to bash WWE fans. So AEW fans are pretty toxic.
@@namegoeshere5220 Nope. I’ve been to plenty of wwe shows in person the crowd is never lit unless it’s the rumble summerslam or raw after mania. Wwe’s crowds normally consist of little kids and older folks.
Ive been around wrestling my whole life, used to run the road with Jimmy Valiant, and ive never seen a crowd so receptive to anyone as this ❤️ Jericho really is a legend
@@space_4736 nah man I'm sorry. And I'm a die hard football fan. The crowds don't compare. It's a different atmosphere. I think nba and hockey have better crowds crowds football too lol and again football is my favorite sports.
''Judas'' is an awesome track you have to give credits to Jericho for giving the fans such a pure "Eargasm". Jericho has always been my favorite, but not as a Wrestler who can sing, but as a singer who can kick ass! He is undoubtedly "The Undertaker" of AEW.
Calling him The Undertaker is a pretty far stretch and an unfair comparison for both of them in my opinion. Jericho and Undertaker both are GOATS in their own right.
I’ll never probably get to do this in person due to AEW not traveling globally, people that live in America and watch AEW live if you never look back at this every month, i envy you
@@JDHQVIDZZ89 its all marks who cant wait to see 25 finishers in one match and have money mark pretend he has charisma when theres really not that much talent in that "stacked" roster. jungle boy is god awful, young bucks are terrible, cm punks a mark for himself. i just cant stand how theyre literally doing everything that wcw did wrong but without any of the star power or entertaining parts of wcw. they have the entire wcw aesthetic also on turner channels giving too much money and creative control to marks in the business. its unbelievable.
All I see is a bunch of college boys wanting to be a part of the show when I watch AEW. You don’t even see any females in the crowd. The definition of a SAUSAGE FEST.
