He's one of the more underrated centers in the game. Even with erratic MPGs thoughout his career, he's a solid 12/8 center with 1 block average. He's a great 7'0 center that doesnt get the attention becuz of the teams he's played on (Clippers, Hornet, Dallas). But i can see him shine with Pau, Nash & comp. in La. Think about this, in 2007 he averaged 37 mins & average 15.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.8 blocks & shot 76% for FTs. If thats not a sign he's a great center, i dont know what is.
This by far is the most uninspiring tribute ever..when you start making Kaman tributes the world is coming to an end....the GOD? GOD of what?.....regular average plays....2 minutes and 30 seconds of my life I cant get back.
Hold up I knew Chris Kaman had midrange and post moves but he's throw people's shit he gunna suprise some people lakers gonna be fun to watch next year let the journey begin
Well, Chris actually WANTS to be a Laker. That's an upgrade in and of itself for starters. That also means he will play hard, which is something Dwight Coward never did while a member of the Lakers. As a Lakers fan, I'm really glad to have him. Maybe the purple and gold will also bring out the best in Nick Young, and the season won't be a total wash the way that the critics are predicting. We know that Kobe's not going to tank a season to get a draft pick anyway. He always brings it !!!!!!
Kaman is a solid NBA center but I'm more excited to get Hill back. A frontcourt of Gasol/Kaman/Hill should be really productive and far from a weak spot offensively for the Lakers. Defensively I'm not sure what to expect. Nothing great that is for sure. Hill is a solid defender but Kaman struggled last year. Hopefully it was more of a system thing than an age thing. We all know what Gasol gives us defensively...
stephen Jackson was not and still isnt a decent shooting guard and bogut was no help to the team because he was alwayse injured. Also just because Bogut was a number 1 pick dosent mean hes better than monta ellis, Kwame Brown was the first pick of the draft years ago and how did he turn out? horrible. Bucks have far and away a better team than the hornets and who knows if Anthony Davis will be good in the NBA?
Lol Kaman is by no means better than Dwight Howard. We lost a core part of our line up. I mad so mad at Dwight for leaving only because the Lakers are screwed for next season. But I guess he made the best possible decision for himself. But believe Kaman will give a little more depth to our lacking roster and a little less drama
Dwight was horrible. He didnt do anything, it was painful to watch him. Especially when he shot free throws. He pouted all the time, and he didnt care if the team won he just wanted to make sure that he looked and played like "superman." He was a selfish baby...
If the Lakers signed Lamar Odom. Their starting unit would look like this 7"3 Chris Kaman, 7"1 Paul Gasol, 6"11 Lamar Odom. Kobe, Nash. The starting unit will be fine. The Bench will be the problem. Chris Kaman will have something to prove and his desperate. He will be alright.
good joke, who do the hornets have that is even NBA worthy? chris kaman is alright but all the bucks need is to get a decent center from the draft or somewhere and they will easily win a playoff series next year. They have the talent
Kaman ain't Howard, but he is still a former all-star without the added drama. Lakers do have a solid front court in Gasol and Kaman. Wonder who's gonna fill the small forward role since Metta's gone though, it's looking real weak there.
Bigmen who know how to take it off the dribble and know how to score is worthy. Just on that fact alone, he is better than Dwight howard. Has anyone seen Dwight take the ball off the dribble and do something useful? If you have please post a highlight of it.
i dnt care what nobody say lakers getting a ring next yr because steve nash can make any player better with his amazing passing ability which fit wit chris kaman and gasol and other players u watch and see
barely dunk??? what video were you watching...all I saw was a "dunk highlight" video...one of them was even a 2 handed dunk...also he seemed to get up high enough to block several dunks... barely dunk....huh?????
yes Dwight Howard is a beast. but he had no loyalty to the Lakers. people, would you seriously want someone to play for your team who doesn't even want to be there? LAL WANTED Dwight back, but Dwight chose otherwise.
stats wise, Dwight far beats Kaman. But as far as attitude towards the team, its Kaman cause he'll play the game to play the game, he doesn't whine about wanting to be THE MAN
Chris Kaman doesn't care about being THE MAN, he gives his all because he loves the game of basketball, if Dwight did the same for us, LAL would have moved mountains for him.
CK to the Lakers yall . Its go time i think we should start him and Pau @ PF and Metta @ SF Kobe @ SG and Nash @ PG so Chris can get more touches and points
well i mean he wasnt healthy most of last season, but the mavs have had good luck recently with injured guys (ex: brandan wright), so i'm hoping he works out
The Hornets traded away or lost all of their good players last year and the first pick of the draft isnt going to make them a playoff team, or even close.
there's a lot of hate going out to Dwight... the Lakers are still gonna suck with or without Chris Kaman... the rockets made it far without Dwight..and now with him, there going to take it farther!!
