It's not just league owners and executives - a lot of fans don't like this, celebration dances, etc. Those fans are dying off, and most younger fans like to see players having fun doing things like this. But for the league, it's also a matter of how many fans are on either side, how much money they have, how much money they spend on the NFL, and what the corporate sponsors and TV execs think about it.

@@loki2240 I’m not sure you’re exactly right there, my friend. Don’t you remember the crazy celebrations guys like T.O. would do back 25+ years ago? Stuff they do today is incredibly tame in comparison, and a lot of rules have been made to discourage celebrations since then. I might agree with you if you had said that to me 20+ years ago, but I think the vast majority of fans today love this kind of stuff. Most of the fuddy-duddies are already dead lol. No one today complains about stuff like this at all, man.
