Man, Chris seemed freaking awesome! I had a fun time with this one and look forward to doing more of his songs! I appreciate you watching and I"ll catch you on the next one! Thanks again! Cheers!
A Blue Norther, also known as a Texas Norther, is a fast moving cold front marked by a rapid drop in temperature, strong winds, and dark blue or "black" skies. The cold front originates from the north, hence the "norther", and can send temperatures plummeting by 20 or 30 degrees in merely minutes. Great Reaction.
@@LoyLeecomedy I grew up in eastern OK, we went into a restaurant once, it was in the 80s. When we left a couple hours later, it was snowing like crazy. True story. Temps dropped over 50 degrees, just that fast. That’s why that part of the country gets so many tornadoes, we have warm, humid air that gets hit with sudden cold fronts in the spring and sometimes fall. Those don’t get along, lol, you get bad storms, rotation, trashed houses and destroyed trailer parks, real quick like.
His death prompted a Strip blackout for 30 seconds. Great man. Knew him, and his family. Sweet and kiiind. Looked out for us junior league rodeo cowboys. Always had good words and insight. Gods, I miss him.
I’ve seen a Blue Norther drop the temperature near 50 degrees, in August, in Texas. The sky went from clear to Black in five minutes. Getting all the stables and barns secured and back into the house was nothing short of miraculous. As for the ending part, the ‘big ol Texas grin’... his friend had successfully told those bikers a Texas Tall Tale.
You sir have found one of the most unappreciated artists ever. Chris was the triple threat. Singer entertainer and musician. Check out his song Cadillac Ranch
sadly we lost Chris in 2005 at the age of 56. he died of cholangiocarcinoma, a slow-growing cancer of the bile duct. He had also fought with a rare liver disease and had to have a transplant in 2000.
Yes, sadly ( and for some odd reason) I didnt find that out til AFTER I recorded it when I was looking up something on him. I think that my reaction might have been a tad different and would have mentioned it. On one hand, i didnt feel that just putting a title card at the end was enough but I didnt want to redo the video and pretend that I hadnt just done the reaction video before. I was definitely saddened. He looks and sounds like exactly what I thought a cowboy would be like.
@@LoyLeecomedyChris LeDoux was a friend of my step dad's. They graduated from Cheyenne Central High School together in Cheyenne Wyoming. I've met him numerous times, and we'd elk hunt with him. He was a true salt of the earth, honest man with a heart of pure gold. He never let his fame go to his head. I ran into him and his family at the Wal-Mart in Casper, Wyoming (the LeDouxs lived north of Casper, near Kaycee). They were just there shopping as a family!
LOL that makes sense... i was thinking it was him and some bikers and a bunch of hipsters in beanies and tank tops reading poetry out loud LOL As a comedian, Diners keep me alive on the road... waffle house for sure, coffee and a meal on the side of the highway 24/7 for under $10... if i do well THEN i'll go to dennys. if you see me in an Ihop, you know i crushed the show that night! lol thanks for watching and leaving an awesome comment! see you on the next one! Cheers!
When I was a teenger. A "Rocker", I answered my friend that I HATED Country. Well, first of all I didn't KNOW Country. He said "just listen to this one song". He was right. My mind begin to open up after that.
“an ole blue northern” is a fast moving cold front here in The U.S.A. where the temperatures drop extremely fast and can bring snow, ice storms, blizzards, etc.
Btw your listening to the live version... It's much slower than the original song... I remember where i was when the legend died... Long live Chris ledoux..... Dont let ur heritage be an awkward thing, its an awesome thing... Ive never left Missouri... Respect brother...
That makes sense that Garth took his show... and yes, that was so rock star with a cowboy hat. Although not a live performance ( you know, live live) but I got the whole rock star vibe. George Strait at the astrodome was awesome, but he made it he 80,000 crowd feel like a dive bar with a great band lol ( in the best way possible) So to see chris go full rockstar was pretty awesome!!
Garth and Chris were friends. Garth didn't steal his show, he based his show on Chris's. Basing your show on another's is not the same as stealing the show. In stealing a show there is no honor. Garth patterned his first shows after Chris's then took it to the next level. If you've never been to a Garth Brooks show, you are missing out on an experience of a lifetime.
8 Second Ride is Good ...so is Reride..(I just saw the comment below about notifications alerted but not replies. so I thought I'd comment.) Love Chris Ladoux!
I fell in love with his music somewhere in this video! Had a great time! Im saddened to find out that he passed some years back! Definitely passing of a titan!
I have a bunch of his music on the list and its just a matter of time to get to it all.. everyone has been great companions in this musical journey of mine. To meet awesome people like and to find this gem of a man, musician and overall legend has been worth the ride!
Road side cafe! The cowboys are locals and eat there all the time (the waitress and cook know them by 1st name). The bikers are just passing through. Thx for the vid love the reactions!
We have biker gangs and everyone else eating together in diners in the midwest. It's normal and it happens...... trust me. Bikers are some of the kindest hearted, most loyal people you will ever meet.
A black tornado is the biggest and baddest of them all, normally a F5. I'm sure being a Bostonian, you've felt those ole' blue northers. And bulldogging is a rodeo term for steer wrestling, when you drop off a horse and grab the bull by the horns, and drop him to the ground. Not something you'll do to the Mississippi River. Great reaction, Sir
Ah yes... this is all making sense. He, basically said in 5 different ways "it aint gonna happen" thats so bad ass! LoL because of these country music reaction videos, i've been watching a lot of rodeo( and being in Albuquerque helps a lot) and Im finding entertainment out of it! Thank you for taking the time to explain it! I appreciate you tons! Chers!
Hey John! Thanks so much for subscribing, I really appreciate it! If youre saying Chris and Garth, well you got me sold! I'll addi it to the list! Thanks for leaving a recommendation! I appreciate it a ton! Cheers!
whoo! first! (lol I feel like a kid with that comment.) Enjoyed the reaction! A blue north'r is a major storm, hurricane level. Called blue northern cause they tend to come across the midwest from the northwest, and wall clouds are that deep blue color.
Hey Girl! Good to see you again! You're first in my book! Ah, that makes sense, back in boston we have a No'r East'er kinda sounds similar but way less texas lol Thanks for the dime of info! Hope youre doing well!!
Hi Kimberly! I cant seem to find old yellow... i'll keep looking but if you have a link, i'll add it to the list! Thanks for watching! I'll see you on the next one! Cheers!
'rope an ol blue northern' -- a blue northern is a cold front that comes from the north pole and swoops down across the country. -- so he is saying you can try to rope the wind, which is impossible, like taking a true cowboy's hat. Also: Steer wrestling, also known as bulldogging, is a rodeo event in which a horse-mounted rider chases a steer, drops from the horse to the steer, then wrestles the steer to the ground by grabbing its horns and pulling it off-balance so that it falls to the ground. Good luck wrestling the Mississippi River. You wont win.
An old blue northern refers to a hurricane type weather system that comes from the northeast and moves in a easterly direction. Usually in the wintertime. and to bulldog something is a rodeo term that refers to chasing a steer from horseback and jumping from the horse onto the steer's back and physically taking it down and pinning it like a wrestler. And yes these are, to say the least, difficult. Loved your reaction. If you like Chris, you should listen to "Hair Trigger Colt 44", or "Cadillac Ranch". Peace.
Ah! I see... we have something similar to that in Boston, called a Nor'easter. I had a fun time with it, and even though, I feel that I'm worlds apart from a Rodeo man, there are principles that are very similar. I appreciate you taking the time to explain these things to a city boy lol I 'll add those to the list! Thanks again, See you on the next one! Cheers!
Agreed... Took me this long to find him. Sad face... But this is what I started to do these videos, to expand my horizons a bit and see some things I've never seen before! Thanks for watching, hope to see you on the next one! Cheers!
Hey Wyoming! The State that has a rodeo man on the license plates, so you must know about country music!! Country music has been fun so far. The stories, the ride and just seeing the parallels to my life has been amazing. This one was great, I really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! Hope you and yours are safe and sound! Cheers!
@@LoyLeecomedy rodeo guy on the license plate that's us!!! ...lol I have friends all over the world who I have sent my old bike, trailor, and vehicle plates too. Apparently they make good wall hanger/conversation starters....if you can't live without one, I'm sure I can find a few..lol if you ever travel through Lander hit me up for a tour....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s. stay safe and healthy everybody GOD BLESS ❤
I was actually supposed to go do some shows in wyoming this fall... Laramie. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen, sadly. I'll definitely hit you up when I'm out there and let's grab a drink of choice! Cheers!!
@@LoyLeecomedy Laramie is a few hours south of us and I wouldn't live there if they gave me the whole damn town, too windy and dry...lol... Lander is the only town that is still green at the end of summer. It's way prettier here and our people are nicer also...from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s. stay safe and healthy everybody GOD BLESS ❤
Jerry!!! How are ya!! That makes sense that garth got his act from Chris! I hope it was after his passing and not during his life, cus that would be awkward! Hope youre doing well, good seeing you again! Lonestar is on the list, just gotta get through a bunch of songs first! See you soon!
yea... about that.. I dunno why I said that. I guess growing up in the 80's, whenever anyone starts off a conversation with "My dad(brother, cousin) was in Vietnam..." or anything close that, its always an awkward conversation cus I'm Vietnamese. I think it was just projecting the trauma. I was gonna edit it out, but I try to edit as little as possible. I try to show my authentic reaction as oppose to some act. As i was putting it together, I was really hoping that it would just go unnoticed, because this had nothing to do with it and I was just projecting.
Loy you nailed it, Chris was very active one stage! Back in the 90's Chris came to a large open rafter country bar in town. During one of his songs he climbed up into the rafters and and made his way through them until he was over the crowd. Everyone went wild! Chris was a true cowboy and artist! (RIP) If you like Rock and Country check out, Title - (Chris LeDoux - Little Long Haired Outlaw). Link ~ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B3hc8l1DCLI.html . I think you'll enjoy this one. Peace!!☮
Man.. that must have been a sight to see! when you say "in town" which town do you mean? ( cus i wanna come visit lol) I'm always up for some Chris LeDoux so I'll definitely add that to the list! thanks for that awesome story and being awesome yourself! Cheers!
Added to the list! Been getting a lot of Blake Shelton recommendations and I'm looking forward to dedicating some time to his music! Thanks for leaving a recommendation and taking the time to watching! I appreciate it a ton! See you on the next one ! Cheers!
Banjo Legend? that sounds very interesting! Its added to the list! Thanks for watching and I appreciate you leaving an interesting recommendation! Thanks again! Cheers!
First vid, immediate reaction - please stop saying "It's your boy..." It's the most cliche, trite, tiresome thing that everybody without any originality says. Seriously, dude, when you think about it for five seconds you must know that's true. Good luck, you seem like a nice guy.
I grew up cowboying in the N. Ga. mountains. Family owns a custom saddle Co. Cutting horses, that sorta thing. You traveled, at 2;00 AM, you knew you could get a skinny steak, and eggs,at W.H. Depending on the town, you saw all kinds of people. Usually kinda drunk. Maybe not W.H.,but it's an educated guess.
LOL when i'm on the road, i love waffle house.. the coffee is hot and the food is affordable and not horrible. Always open lol... theres nothing like dinner and a show depending on what time I roll into one!
