David West was an ARTIST with the midrange. Low post, High Post, off the dribble, off the pass, off the glass; he could do it all. One of the smartest predominately midrange/post players I’ve ever seen
Chris Paul`s game is so smooth. By far the best pointguard. But that injury really set him back. He could`ve been a top 3 player in the game if not for that injury.
Don't forget Peja Stojakovic he was a really good shooter with the hornets the old hornets was a really good team especially considering cp3 being an mvp candidate in the 07-08 season.
Chris Paul and David West no doubt West is great with pick and rolls with CP3 and sometimes CP3 could just pass it back to West and West will hit the mid range jumper.West was a great scorer for the hornets so he really helped the hornets out and CP3 whenever they are in trouble in my opinion would have been different in the Laker vs Hornets playoff series last season if David West was healthy, but CP3 and Blake Griffin is exciting and will improve more in the future.
I was just thinking that same thing.. they were loaded Chris Paul, David West, Chandler and Styankovic.. they were right there .. if they would of added another piece to that team..
@@Mma-basement-215For some reason they fell apart in the playoffs. Lost in 5 to the Nuggets. I didn’t watch NBA back then so didn’t get to see the games live, what was the problem? Just curious. Cause stat wise, looks like everyone but Rasual Butler were not ready for the playoffs 08-09. Edit: They even lost by 58 one game.
@dinodip27 True that CP3 was the one who made everything worked that year but the team also had the correct pieces. CP3 used to throw up lobs to Chandler for alley oops all day long whereas now he couldnt do it with Okafor. West was an all star that year but this year he got hurt so he struggled. They also had Peja that year. He's a knock down 3pt shooter and now they have Ariza at that position and he's not really a spot up jump shooter.
Pacers fan here! Why did Hornets get rid of all these All Star players?Someone needs to be FIRED.I dont understand what they got in return? Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Farouq Aminu all GARBAGE
Chris Paul and David West were killers in this game. Kobe had 39 points on 14-22 shooting (6-7 from 3pt range), along with 7 assist, but that was about it for the Lakers.
@Cheema0113 True but at least it didnt stop him from still being succesful, look at Grant HIll, he was destined and was really about to be in the tier of Superstars but all those surgeries really messed him up. We coulda been talking about Grant Hill being the best in the league now rather than Kobe and Lebron
lilaj318 I would take DW cuz he has much much better mid range jump shot than BG. I really miss the CP3 & DW combination. The basketball they played was just so simple and beautiful. BG has too many meaningless moves.
This is how it is, Radmanovic although my native missing that easy layup and dunk for being a pussy sucks from now on. As for Chris Paul he's a beastly best point guard in the NBA, and David West is in the top 3 PF's in the league when healthy.
