The people that sit there and say how can him and harden both mesh on the same team obviously dont hoop fr. real hoopers find a way to play regardless of who else they play with. I don't really like using the olympics as an example because it's obviously different comp but damn near the whole team be filled with ball dominant players but whats happens when great players just wanna win???? They find a fucking way to get it done.🤷🏽♂️
Does every thing you want a PG to do at a high-level. If you've seen Paul in his youth, you can appreciate how he's so skilled that he puts up the same numbers even though he's lost a step.
I remember when D'Antoni was hired EVERYONE was saying that it wasn't a good fit because rockets needed a defensive mentality, and look what happened in 1 season, now people questioning if it's a good fit to have added CP3, well, I guess we'll have to wait and see, again 😉
Edward Jimenez did you see harden fade? he can't pulled the whole weight for the whole season, if they can adf PG13, and with CP3, he'll have fresh legs come playoff time. Oh and btw, mostly everybody said they wouldn't even make the playoffs, and they made it to the second round so yeah, rockets and D'Antoni proved haters wrong in year 1.
You guys forget that CP3 and James played together on Team USA in 2012 and Mike D'Antoni was an assistant coach, so the connection is there. The question isn't can they coexist? It's 'what will they be able to do together on the Rockets?'
As a Clippers fan, I'm not gonna lie, I'll miss this core group in all its lob city glory. It was fun and exciting and every game I would look forward to JJ Redick starting the game off with hot shooting, Deandre blocking shots and catching crazy lobs, Blake playing point-forward, and of course CP3 doing whatever it took to get his team the lead without forcing anything and finding the best shot possible. Obviously this team was all but perfect and was seemingly always seconds away from the 3rd round. This is the perfect time however to break up this core with all the young talent entering the league. I love you CP3 #nohomo
Excited we got cp3 but something dont sit right with me knowing we let bev go... bev will always be a real nigga in my eyes. I hope he comes back one day. Heart n soul of the damn team
Miltonman100 even tho you guys lost him you didn't lose anything on the defensive side ... don't forget Chris Paul also made the all defensive first team
Great Video i can;t wait to see Chris Paul and James Harden play together the season couldn't come quick enough! They won 55 games without Cp3 & i am guaranteeing the Rockets win 60+ games with Cp3 The Point God! Don't forget they added PJ Tucker and are on the Verge to get Carmelo Anthony no one is going to want to play the Big 3 in Houston! There are some people saying Melo won't fit with the Rockets they are dumb! we will see Olympic Carmelo if he comes to the Rockets and plays with Cp3 & Harden! POINT GOD!
Fanboys acting like we gave up alot. We barely touched our core (Beverley). And the rest was a guy that came mid-season (Lou Will) and some scrubs (Sam Dekker/Montrezl). I can see if we gave up Capela and Gordon...guys that really impact our core. But we replaced a defensive 3 and D guy with a Superstar talent that's also All-Team First Defense (CP3). Replaced Lou with PJ Tucker (not really thrilled about that trade, though). However, we got Troy Williams replacing Sam Dekker. We upgrade there, for our bench production. So, in fact, the Rockets got a little better from last season: C. Capela - Center C. Anthony - Stretch 4 (If a Rox) T. Ariza - SF J. Harden - SG C. Paul - PG So, we take out Ryan Anderson and P. Beverely and plug-in Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony......man, that's a huge UPGRADE in the starting 5 unit. With the Bench: Nene Hilario - Center Troy Williams - PF (or go with Anthony) PJ Tucker - SF (or go with T. Williams) E. Gordon - SG J. Harden - PG That's a 9-man rotation where we got a Superstar PG in both units. Elite shooting guards in both units. Solid Centers in both units. That's a solid upgrade for the Rockets, and definitely close the gap against the Warriors.
Chris Paul, James harden, Eric Gordon, ariza, Capela, Pj. Tucker, Nene, mbah a moute and possibly josh smith and melo. But damn ! you can't tell me that ain't a deep ass fucking squad right there.
All these scared ass fans talking about it won't work. Forget harden has and does know how to play offball (okc). Or when one goes to the bench one stays on the floor. Lmao armchair coaches are the best
KyGOAT Irving thats good i think hes better at his original sg position. when he played pg he was good too but i dont he was btr at pg than sg imo he gave away too many balls becus of bein a pg. he needs to be more of a shooter .and let cp3 create plays . harden can create plays as well but he shudnt as much
+Super Saiyan Jaiden True. I see the now rockets a 4th seed and if rockets lands pg13 or melo they'll be a second seed as I see the Spurs falls third seed and with old players like ginobili and Parker and suspect Aldridge and what gasol have left and pretty much it's khawhi or bust.
Yes, Houston will miss Beverley... until they realize that Chris Paul is an even better defender and by far a much better offensive player. Chris Paul is literally flawless from a basketball standpoint. All-NBA, All-Defense, superstar guard.
good move by the rockets cp3 will add to the overall IQ of the team to me one thing the warriors have over most teams is their players have high basketball iq. majority of them will make the correct play everytime thats why i think they beat the cavs they had a higher ball IQ as a team
Then 5 years later when I look back to how this happened I realised that this was just like KD's move to Golden State it was one of the weakest moves in NBA History because he joined the team that he blew a 3-1 lead to and made the Conference Finals without him 2 years before he made this move so all of this is why Harden should get all of the credit for taking the Superteam Warriors to 6 and 7 games in his first 2 years with the Rockets because CP3 went to Harden's team so when people say CP3 was the reason the 2018 Warriors series went to 7 it's all false because CP3 was not the best player on that team it was Harden then after 2019 CP3 leaves then what happens? Harden once again Eliminates him in the Playoffs without Russ playing in the first 4 games of the series.
BlueElectric Eric Gordon was moved to shooting guard and is the sixth man so the starting lineup will most like be PG- Chris Paul SG/PG- James Harden SF- Trevor Ariza PF- Ryan Anderson or NeNe (depending on who gets traded or re-signs) C- Clint Capela or NeNe 6th man- Eric Gordon
Not going to work. They just traded away all of their bench which was the main part (other than Harden) that got them so much success. They traded away all of that including a first round draft pick next year and $600,000 for a 32 year old ball dominant player in Chris Paul on a 1 year contract. The coach uses pays with 1 ball dominant player and the rest shooters and big men for pick and rolls. Houston runs a fast paced offence and it works effectivly. Chris Paul uses all the shot clock and slows the game down. The 2 paces won't match. Harden will not be in MVP talks next year because he will have to be a spot-up shooter for the ball dominant slow 32 year old Chris Paul. I think this is a horrible trade and the team so far has gotten worse.
