Honestly see no holes in his game he is a complete guard. He passes,he defends,he leads, rebounds for his size,he is efficient, don't turn it over.Excellent all around scoring game, that features one of the best mid range game if not the best,3pt and has amazing Handles
It's actually interesting to watch his 07-08 highlights back to back with this and see the massive difference in explosiveness, speed and quickness. The guy really worked to maximize other abilities after that 09-10 knee injury.
Hingle McCringleberry lls clippers is pathetic. Old ass jamal crawford, old ass paul pierce,? Wtf then these niggas call curry the best pg who chokes on a deep team lls what is wrong wit society? Lls
Nah they lose cuz of the Clippers' shit bench. Getting a ring is a rarity and CP3 is doing his best to lead his team to one and I truly respect him for it, even if he may not achieve it
I think as a Point Guard you really have to be the leader, floor general and coach on the floor for your squad, always making you're teammates better. I don't really see that in Rondo, he's an amazing passer and still a very solid defender, but I don't know about his leadership. I mean, the Kings are were better with him on the bench statistically. The Clippers' offense though rank dead last without Paul, but is 2nd with CP3 on the court. Rondo simply doesn't have that impact, that's also probably why he has been traded so much, even though his passing talent is unique and he's slightly improved his shooting.
Gotta give this man respect. He was the BEST pg in the nba for at least 6-7 years straight. Still the best pure passing point guard right now. Will definitely go down in the top 10-5 pgs ever ! First ballad HOF. Only thing missing is a ring.
coming from a okc fan , I would've liked if KD joined Cp and the Clippers because that would've been a good squad in the west to playing the Warriors and Spurs , cp Blake dj Jj and durant ? imagine ?
Chris Paul deserves a ring more then anybody else right now he hasn't been able to get past second round of the playoffs and he got injured against the Blazers this past postseason I hope he wins his first ring one day because he's too good to be ringless
Video has nothing to do with curry. There is diff types of point guards. The best 2 natural scoring guards were in the finals the last 2 years so all that true pg stuff means nothing right now.
Victor Jennings no such thing as a "true PG" like back in the day. pretty much EVERY point guard coming into the NBA is score first mentality. pass first guys like Rondo, CP3, Rubio etc… all came in a while ago. like Curry in a certain system could average 9-10 assists (8.5 under mark jackson). but not in Kerrs where he averages like 6. guards now lookin to score, Dunn, Jamal Murray, Booker, D'Angelo, Mudiay, etcc
Absolutely a true point god! He is 2nd best point guard in nba rating wise with 90 overall in 2k. I mean look at the clipper before and after he joined. The team was practically a shit team before he came, no offense. His ball handling and on court awareness and vision is one of the best if not the best that he doesn't need to have outstanding shooting inorder to get buckets. He is good shooter but it is not his forte despite if that he still gets buckets because he can create shoots for himself and also his teammates. He makes everything easy for him and his teammates. That is the very definition of true PG. Great video!
Hes honestly the 2nd best PG in the league behind Curry, hes more efficient than Westbrook passes the ball better and waste as many possesions turning the ball over
+MobileKing - Gaming Lol Kyrie is just like Curry. Kyrie doesnt pass, or lead a team, all he does is score so thats out of the question. And i just like CP3 cuz hes wayy more efficient than WB. Ill just keep the list same until I see what happens during the RS
+MobileKing - Gaming what do you mean he can't play defense? Do you actually watch Warriors games? He doesn't have defensive lapses and gets the most steals... Just because he's kind of small it doesn't mean he does not play D...
Who cares if he doesn't knock down crazy and acrobatic 3 pointers like Steph? He is the definition of a point guard. Vision, court awareness, defense. Nobody in the game does it better than him.
People are saying the Clippers suck but the past 4 seasons they've been in the top 5 teams in the west? It's arguable that they choke come crunch time (which is why they got Paul Pierce I'm guessing since he hits every clutch shot ever...) but they definitely don't suck. I'd love to see any of you try and compete against Chris Paul or even Blake Griffin and tell me about your experience. For the record, I am a Spurs fan. I also really like Portland.
After this season's over and the Warriors unfortunately win the Finals against the Cavs, what move is more likely to happen? Kawhi to the Clippers or CP3 to the Spurs? I mean, SF has always been the Clippers' weak spot and it will be the Spurs one becuase Tony Parker doesn't get younger, and I honestly could imagine that the Spurs or the Clippers try to form a 3rd contender to make the league intersting again...
John Stockton is not the greatest PG ever and for SURE IS NOT ABOVE MAGIC😂. Only casual basketball fans would believe that Stockton is a top 5 point guard ever. In no way am I trying to discredit Stockton’s ability, because it was undeniable. But Stockton’s assists numbers were so high because of the system he played in. Watch any film from those Jazz teams and you’ll see that they use a lot of pick and roll (nothing is wrong with that BTW). Because of the amount of pick and roll usage, Stockton’s assists numbers were greatly inflated. Also, Stockton has more first round exits than he as conference finals appearances. Magic Johnson has 5 NBA Championships, to Stockton’s 0. Magic has 3 NBA MVP awards, to Stockton’s 0. So my question is, how could Stockton be better than Magic if Stockton was never an MVP. In fact, the highest Stockton has ever placed in MVP voting was 7th. For numerous years of his career, Stockton wasn’t even a top 10 MVP candidate. There’s no way you can be the greatest point guard of all time without having a championship, or MVP award. *Magic Johnson’s Career Accomplishments* • 5x NBA Champion • 3x Finals MVP • 3x NBA MVP • 12x All Star • 10x All NBA • 4x AST champ • 2x STL Champ • 2x All Star Game MVP
The best Point Guard of all time is Magic Johnson in my opinion. He is a great defender and a great rebounder and a great passer and a great scorer and a great leader on the court. He is an outstanding passer. He is a Playmaking God.
+Ballin Too Magic's Rookie Season:18/7/7 and CP3's best Season:22/5/11, let's not forget Magic can play any position and he beats CP3 in every statistic and achievement.
+Edgy McEdge how they goin improve? curry goin ask jj reddick to guard his position? lmao no curry will which means he will get roasted, be less efficient, and just lose games and be a flame thrower lls cp3 the complete opposite alpha dog, great mid range, way way way higher iq, less turnovers etc
A few reasons... First being that I don't think anyone on Golden State will get it since KD, Curry, Green will take votes away from each other. Lebron could have an MVP year, knowing that they can't let up at all after winning, but I think Kyrie will take more of the load off him this season after all the minutes Lebron's played, I'm sure he'd rather conserve himself for what'll likely be a much harder playoffs than last season. Kawhi or Paul George could get it, but it's not really Kawhi's game to fully take over, so unless the Spurs get first seed in the West then I don't think he gets it. Paul George is definitely a sleeper pick, not gonna count him out at all. My case for CP3 alone though is that it's a contract year, in the sense that it's really the last chance for the Clippers to get it done. If they fail, then the team is definitely being rebuilt. After the disappointment the last few seasons, I can see him having a monster season and putting the Clippers in 1st or 2nd seed, as long as everyone stays healthy.
they need a better small forward, they don't have good wing players that's were they have been always lacking this team is ready to compete they just need that one last piece
He is a top PG ever. Chris Paul is a top 5 point guard of all time. *Career Accomplishments* • 10x All Star • 4x AST Champ • 6x Steals Champ • 9x All Defense • ‘12-13 All Star Game MVP *Career Averages* 18.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 9.5 apg, 2.2 spg 47.1 FG% , 37.0 3PT% , 87.0 FT % In CP3’s first post season of his career he averaged: 24.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 11.3 apg, and 2.3 spg while shooting 50.2 % from the field. *Career Averages in the playoffs* 20.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 8.3 apg, and 2.1 spg 47.8 FG % , 36.5 3PT % , 84.7 FT % He also finished 2nd in MVP voting in the ‘07-08 season, and was also top 5 in MVP voting three other times until ‘12-13.
Idk why we constantly give CP3 a pass that we don't give other top top guys. Nash never gets the pass that CP3 does and he's a 2x MVP (granted one of those belongs to Kobe). I only used Nash because they have an extremely close playing styles and skill sets. Chris Paul is NOT the best PG in the league. You can make an argument for him, but it's not something that is clear n dry. Especially when Westbrook had to past two seasons that he has had. Also when ppl feel like Kyrie should have been Finals MVP. Hell, John Wall does the exact same things, some better, that CP3 does. Paul is a GREAT player. First ballot HOFer, but top PG is no longer associated with Clippers PG Chris Paul.
If you just look up ppg, apg and how many rings someone has, yeah. But CP3 is considered to be one of the best if not still the best Point Guard in basketball because of things like leadership, impact, turnover ratio, mid-range game, basketball IQ, court vision and consistency.
imo, this season is the clippers one chance to make finals. gotta get there before goldenstate finds their chemistry. okc's roster has weakened. the spurs will continue to be great but won't be the same without tim duncan. the mavericks and the rockets are... well they are fringe teams. not the mavericks and rockets of old.
+Edgy McEdge The Clippers with a half injured Blake and Redick were crushing Portland easily in the first two games then on the road where Blake and Redick both really struggled they still only lost by 8. It wasn't till CP3 and Blake had to straight up leave the game leaving Austin Rivers with one eye and Jamal Crawford at age 36 to try to carry the team over Portland and they still only lost by 3 points. Portland isn't threatening a healthy Clippers team or even just one where CP3 is in
