i always thought the one thing they lacked was a solid versatile wing starter. Crawford was nice but being the heart and soul of the bench, plus getting up in years, meant that you couldn't play him 30-40 min a game all the time. Had they landed a big name starter who is content not being the #1 option, plays solid defense, and had Crawfords handles and driving ability along with JJ Reddicks shooting ability - they prolly would have went all the way. Someone like Bradley Beal, Jimmy Butler, or even Klay Thompson would have been perfect on those squads. A younger Manu Ginobli would have fit well too. As far as modern players not available back then or not in their prime yet - Victor Oladipo, Jaylen Brown, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Donovan Mitchell would all have been great on those squads!
