Games like this make me baffled at the amount of disrespect CP3 gets from the community these days. He was a god among men as far as point guards go, even with all the talent there was at that position in his prime. Tony Parker, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, Baron Davis, Allen Iverson, Gilbert Arenas, Chauncey BIllups, Jason Kidd, so many talented point guards that could easily drop 30 any night they wanted and he was arguably the best among them

That was a prime Chris Paul. A good coach in Byron Scott. Tyson Chandler carrying the rebounding load and averaging 10 points and 10 rebounds, David West carrying most of the scoring load, I think averaging 18 to 25 points, Chris paul carrying most of the Assist load with 10 to 15 assists. Peja was not the same player he was, but was still able to score his 3 points. It was just the bench that they didn’t have. I think in that series via the Spurs in game 6 or 7, they had Robert Horry preform a cheap shot/ foul to the back of David West. David West wasn’t the same after that. I think he went off injured. With that Chris Paul’s team couldn’t compete and Spurs went on to win that series.
