Great reaction. For the best translations for all songs from the first two albums just google "du-metal" plus the song title - you will find English translations and cultural/explanatory notes where the translation itself my not make sense. Good spot on the DragonForce influence in this song, Herman Li and Sam Totman wrote the guitar arrangements and played on the studio version. You are absolutely right about the choreo - they don't just sing songs, they always put on a performance and they have choreo for every song ... and they keep up that energy for the entire concert which may be anything from an hour to 90 minutes. Yes this was the finale for this show at Saitama Super Arena in 2015 (Su was 17, Yui and Moa were 15) and believe it or not they cut the outro by a couple of minutes for this video - they ran to both sides of the stage to call "We are" "BABYMETAL" as well - and the Kami Band were shredding and drumming that whole time. I will second the recommendations for 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 for your next reaction. Add 'Megitsune' and 'Catch Me If You Can' (also live from Legend 1997 or live at Budokan Black Night) to your list.

5:05 Because this song was written in collaboration with DragonForce guitarists Herman and Sam who wrote all the guitar parts (and recorded them themselves for the studio version taken in Babymetal's 2nd album "Metal Resistance"). Just like Bring Me The Horizon appreciate and love Babymetal's out-there originality and ability to work on many styles and genres of metal (in tribute) including nu-metal, deathmetal, metalcore, progmetal etc., DragonForce also highly evaluate them as a great powermetal band. Here is their flagship powermetal song: BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ro-_cbfdrYE.html Herman's comments about Babymetal: ”I’ve been summoned by the Fox God along with Sam Totman of DragonForce to join the Metal Resistance with BABYMETAL. ;) " BABYMETAL x DragonForce live at Metal Hammer Golden Gods ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8ufUZVGn1c.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FKa9uKewQTM.html “They have a really original mix they do, a mix of different styles of metal together with the whole J-Pop vibe. I know the guys that work on the Babymetal on the songs and stuff, and they are really big metal fans, they’re really good guys and really love the music. Obviously the girls are young and they just got into that but they were really great performers. They’ve been doing it for a long time, I feel like they haven’t had the same childhood as a lot of people doing that kind of performing but they are really professional. When I was their age, there’s no way I could have done that stuff. They’re able, I think, to cross over and to bring people that never listened to metal into this genre to discover. So they’re really an important band right now. For example, we got a lot of fans into metal because of ‘Guitar Hero.’ I think they are a really important band to do this, we need more people like that who are able to do something different and they’re cool girls. I liked working with them”

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) - BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. You can definitely feel the speed metal component in this one though. Herman Li and Sam Totman of DragonForce contributed guitar tracks for the studio version. This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in January 2015, with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. BABYMETAL's lead singer, Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, or Su) first appeared at SSA in 2008 as a member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL, as well as opening for 'Guns 'n' Roses a few years ago. Guitarists that night were Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus. The bassist was BOH, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama. BABYMETAL's producer Koba, a long time metal fan, became aware of this talented young singer with a "no holds back" style in the Amuse, Inc. Kid's Division, and decided to build a metal group around her. Which was a pretty crazy idea. : ) Every BABYMETAL song is different, but I really like this 2013 performance of 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' at the 'Legend 1997' concert that celebrated the lead singer's 16th birthday. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QEsOaMbNFww.html

Don't worry about the blur, we are used to it. Nice reaction on your part. Fun facts about BabyMetal: 1. Metallica likes to hang out with them at festivals 2. They sang Pain Killer and Breaking the Law with Rob Halford of Judas Priest 3. The Red Hot Chili Peppers joined them on stage to sing their song Gimme Chocolate 4. Dragon Force joined them on stage to sing their song Gimme Chocolate 5. Their song Gimme Chocolate was named one of the most important metal songs of the last 10 years. 6. They had a cameo in Corey Taylor's recent video 7. Member of Korn joined them on stage to perform Gimme Chocolate Songs to listen to next: 1. Karate the official video - their work of art 2. Legend of 1997 - Head Banger (Legend of 1997 refers to the lead singer Su Metal) the audience goes insane 3. Gimme Chocolate - the song that started it all. Rumor has it that Metallica likes to sing and dance to this with the girls back stage at concerts. 4. Pa Pa Ya feat. F. Hero 5. BxMxC the official video - stunning in every way.

Not bad for a 17 year girl controlling this crowd. Babymetal has wom many awards for best live band. Everyone of their songs is so the crowd interaction is added. Maybe not a couple of their ballads. Babymetal is an experience. It is a performance. You will love it the more you react to them. Their shows are awesome. The production of their big shows is amazing.

Some people will suggest you do "Karate", some people will say, "Megitsune!', some will go, 'HEADBANGER!" or BxMxC, or Distortion, or Starlight, or Akatsuki, or BABYMETAL DEATH, or RONDO OF NIGHTMARE With Mischiefs of Gods intro, or Doki-Doki Morning, or YAVA! or Awadama Fever, or TALES OF THE DESTINIES, or one of any of about 40 other songs and you should! I have instantly subbed. I was really looking forward to your first BABYMETAL reaction after your first taste during Kingslayer and you did not disappoint ! You've got pretty much everything spot on from the get go. BABYMETAL shows are next level. As you've pointed out, it's not just the music but the overall performance and energy and atmosphere. The crowd participation is a huge part of what makes BABYMETAL standing apart from the pack. The girls on the side do not just do backing vocals but are also instrumental to being the catalyst for the energy cycling from the band to the crowd and vice versa. They use interpretative dancing and a practice called "ai no te" which in short refers to "inciting crowd participation". In other words, when the girls shout you're supposed to shout, when they throw fists you're supposed to throw fists, when they jump, you jump. This always results in electric shows full of energy and joy. It is no surprise Oli Sykes and BMTH as a band have been wanting to make a collab with BABYMETAL for so long and it is even less of a surprise that the result is a banger of a song. I'm glad you've started dipping your toes in BABYMETAL and what they bring to the table and am really looking forward to more. I'm glad you've decided to start with this performance as it is the one that got me sucked in and I'm now forever trapped in the BABYMETAL Fox Hole. I'm not complaining, it's comfy here and the voices of the haters are muffled :). You have good ears. Dragonforce is one of the very first big metal band that offered support for BABYMETAL back in the days. Herman Li and Sam Totman have actually helped write the arrangements for the guitars in this track. Which is why you can hear their big influence in that song. They snucked the girls on stage during Download 2015 while performing because the bookkeeper for Download Festival said at the time that he would NEVER allow such a "gimmick" band to play at his festival. Well they did play there in 2016 and were one of the best shows during this edition. So much so that they also came back in 2018 and were planned to come again in 2020 until Covid hit. BABYMETAL is something else, truly. And every time they prove their haters wrong - unfortunately, there are still many of these - eventough they're being less and less vocal as all of their blank arguments have been proven wrong time and time again and more and more metal and rock legends speak of their own admiration for this band and specifically for these girls' courage and humility. One of the striking things about BABYMETAL is that the girls were so young (they're now in their early 20's) and yet went and did their thing in a world dominated by angry gatekeeping metalheads who can't or won't let young girls "smear" their precious metal. Those girls have fought against all this criticism and through hard work and talent and staying positive, they've vainquished every challenge that stood in their path. And when you see them during interviews, they're the sweetest, most humble human beings you'll ever come accross. Truly refreshing.

This performance was the closing song of their 2015 second world tour kick-off show. This, by the way, was the year they met the chaps of BMTH for the first time. They have developed sort of a friendship since then and hangout together whenever their ways are crossing each other. BMTH even opened at several shows in Japan for BABYMETAL last year.

Awesome reaction and your right, Dragonforce helped with the song. Nice catch. Dragonforce are huge fans of Babymetal along with just about every other heavy metal GIANT in the industry. The look on your face when the Wall of Death formed and took off.. ROFL. LOVED IT!. "whats going on" OH SHIT! Yes, this was the Encore to the concert. So, they had been going HAM dancing and singing for hours so credit to the girls for the incredible stamina in their shows. Rest of us would die doing this. Welcome to Babymetal. Every song is different and great especially their live stuff, the interaction with the crowd is second to none. They Love them. Hope you do Headbanger live "legend of 1997 concert" Su-Metals 16th birthday concert next. Cheers.

Great reaction man! You earned my sub for sure. The best thing about Babymetal lyrics is that even if you don't understand what they're saying, you generally can feel it. Live Babymetal is the best way to experience them because, like you said, the performance is so much more than just singing the songs, and they put on some incredible live shows. I'll be eagerly awaiting your next reaction, and hope you'll continue your Babymetal journey.

As you've been told, the song was co-written by Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. Herman Li said on his stream a few weeks ago (when he reacted to their latest video BxMxC) that he thinks Takayoshi Ohmura, the guitarist with the pink (or in some videos golden) ESP guitar, is one of the fastest and best shredders in the business today and he loved how he interpreted the lead part of Road of Resistance and made it "his". But all band members are crazily skilled, as you'll see when you do a live performance with an intro (Catch Me If You Can or Rondo of Nightmare for example). If you're interested in more Power Metal, you already got a link to Ijime Dame Zettai, then there's Amore, but there are only compilation videos on RU-vid of it and last but not least Arkadia from their latest album, which is probably as fast as Road of Resistance. There's no official video on RU-vid but I quite like the fancam/proshot compilation from their L.A. Forum show 2019, which also has the DVD audio from the same show ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7wgOVFc1z-8.html . Usually you should stay away from compilations, but I like this one because it's from one show and doesn't switch between 10 different concerts every 3 seconds. All of these, except Amore which is a Su-metal solo song, were or are concert closing songs together with Prog anthem The One and these outros are quite standard for Babymetal concerts. The outro of the second of two back-to-back nights at Tokyo Dome in 2016 was over 7 minutes of double bass, wailing guitars and the girls screaming "we are Babymetal" (which is by the way one of the many hommages to legendary Japanese band X Japan).

Although Herman Li and Sam Totman contributed guitar tracks for the studio version, they didn't write this song. Official song credits are: Lyrics: KITSUNE of METAL GOD, MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe) and KxBxMETAL (Kei Kobayashi) Music: Mish-Mosh (Nobuaki Miyasaka), NORiMETAL (Norikazu Nakayama) and KYT-METAL. Arrangment: Kyôtô. Most of these folks have been involved with multiple BABYMETAL songs.

Nice reaction & analysis. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。BABYMETAL's activities have been worldwide. For example, since June last year until March this year (before the pandemic), they performed 20 times in USA, 19 in EU/UK/Russia and 1 in Taiwan in addition to 15 in Japan (total : 49 their own concerts + 6 appearance in festivals). This MV was filmed in 2015, and the crowd involvement, mosh pit, call & response, chant etc. occur everywhere they go. If you search this song at the Forum LA on Oct. 11 2019, you will find 17,000 American audiences were doing the same thing. Please continue to explore BABYMETAL.

Just a note on the "long" outro....that was the edited "short" version!! LoL!! They had two side bridges so that when they ran back from the middle one they went 'stage right' first, did the whole "We Are...BABYMETAL" call and response, then to 'stage left' and finally back to the middle with the ending you watched!! (did you catch where the cut was made?? most dont). Best Live group on the planet today! Hottest ticket out there if and when they finally get back to touring! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!

Glad you liked it! Some of their songs are much more playful and poppy than this, but you seemed like you can handle it. :-) Their catalogue covers a pretty wide range between Pop and Metal, but it's always interesting and unique. And as you have seen, their live shows are more than just music. I have always been a metalhead, and I have never been a fan of choreographed dancing, but BABYMETAL have made me realize how much more it adds to the entertainment value. Their live shows are such a complete package, I can't think of any other band that delivers like that. The song "Headbanger" that has already been suggested would be a good next step: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QEsOaMbNFww.html

Nice. I really enjoyed your Kingslayer reaction and was hoping you'd make your way over to reacting to something of theirs. You picked a great entry point with Road of Resistance. The two videos that got me hooked on them a few months ago are "Headbanger" from the concert "Legend of 1997" (lead singer Su-metal was born in '97) and the official music video for "Karate". They dabble in all kind of subgenres of metal with varying levels of JPop influence, so there's a ton of variety across the catalogue. Enjoy!

BABYMETAL 101 Founded 2010 and produced by Key “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency. Babymetal name comes from the birth of a new style of metal fusing j-pop with metal creating what they call Kawaii Metal (Cute-Metal). The group currently consists of Suzuka Nakamoto aka “Su-Metal” (22 years old) sometimes referred to as Vocal and Dance, and Moa Kikuchi aka Moa-Metal (21 years old) sometimes referred to as Scream and Dance. With a rotating trio of girls filling the third slot, in a 3-member formation. These girls are known as Avengers and are Kano Fujihara (16 years old), Riho Sayashi (21 years old), and Momoko Okazaki (17 years old). They are supported by a rotating selection of talented backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost. Past Formations. Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012) From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consist of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka Yui-Metal (Age 10). First starting out as the Heavy Music Club as a subunit within the Developmental Idol Group created by Amuse in 2010 known as Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin is group that introduces girls between the ages of 10-15 to music, dance, modeling, and acting through Japanese Pop idol music and culture. Given a school theme, all three would be a part of Sakura Gakuin until their graduation from it in the same school year they would graduate from Japanese middle school or 15 years old. Suzuka graduated in March 2013, and Moa and Yui in March of 2015. Sakura Gakuin is a fantastic group with great kawaii jpop songs in their own right. During this time there was no lore, and the girl’s costumes were more punkish in nature which they helped create. They also didn’t perform with live music, using a backing track or the “Skeleton band” people pretending to play music behind them. Music Video of this Era Doki Doki Morning Iine (Pronounced EE-NAH spelled i i n e) Headbangya Babymetal Era (2012-2017) Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time. The Lore is complex and involves a battle against other evil idol corporations, gaining powers running a resistance group, all at the direction of a mythical deity known as the fox god, against an all power enemy known as Akiba. The first Legend show I was the Kami Bands introduction to the end, but it also had the Skeleton Band which is seen in the wildly popular Gimmie Chocolate Music Video. This was followed by Legend D, and then Legend Z, in which it was learned that Babymetal would continue as its own entity after Suzuka’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013. Slowly over 2013 the Skeleton Band would be phased out of all live shows, as Babymetal came into their own. Babymetal as it is most commonly known as with Su-Metal, Moa-Meta, and Yui-Metal, Kami Band, and a somewhat understandable lore is what consisted for the majority of it’s existence. Also established beyond the 3 member formation, they had 2 other set ups, one was what fans called Su-Solos, and it would just be Su on stage with the Kami band, performing a solo, and the other is known as Black Babymetal by the band themselves, which consisted of just Moa and Yui. Music Videos of this Era Gimmie Chocolate Megitsune Rondo of Nightmare - With mischief of the Gods Intro (Su Solo and a great expedition of the Kami Band) Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Co-written by Dragonforce) Iijime, Dame, Zettai Live at Sonisphere (No More Bullying Forever) Karate The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui. Changes they would not tell fans and all throughout 2018 communicate extraordinarily little causing lots of pain for all involved fan and performer. This era is noted by their strange armor like costumes, sometimes referred to as Elf Armor. To make the poor communication, and Yui’s absence wasn’t bad enough, one of the more regular Kami band members, Mikio Fujioka passed away after falling off a balcony in late December 2017 while star gazing. A beloved and incredibly talented musician lost leaving behind his wife and only child. In September 2018 Yui would formally resign from Babymetal, stating her unspecified health and wishing to move on. Babymetal themselves announced that the group will move on focusing on Suzuka and Moa. (Something many idiots within the fandom refuse or are too stupid to understand) In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history. Music Videos of this Era (These MVs do not feature the members in them at all) Distortion Starlight Metal Galaxy Era The current set up was first introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3 member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH. Music Videos of this Era Pa Pa Ya Elevator Girl Shanti Shanti Da Da Dance (Avenger confusion) Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal. For the Music Videos, Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl, and Shanti Shanti Shanti, it is Kano Fujihara, who was just 14 years old at the time. Da Da Dance is a compilation of Momoko and Riho and a splicing of 2 different shows. In most fan cam videos of the American and European tour it would be either Riho or Momoko, as they toured with Babymetal in 2019. Kano had responsibilities with Sakura Gakuin as its president, a position Suzuka and Moa both held in Sakura Gakuin, and she’s never flown on a plane before. Some fans for 2019 did throw a stupid temper tantrum over the use of new Kami Band members who are from the west now known as the West Coast Kami Band, but like how the girls won over many, so did they and the payoff with the Legend Metal Galaxy concert was well worth it. COVID Era COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020. Forced to keep it rather tame something very unlike Babymetal as even in their failures like the entire 2018 tour they do it septically. The question for many fans is what of the Avengers, since COVID, Avenger Riho Sayashi has signed with a new agency and has move on to other projects, including starting a fan club, which appears to rule her out of ever being an Avenger again. Kano Fujihara has graduated from Sakura Gakuin on August 30, 2020, a near 4 month delay. However, she and fellow Sakura Gakuin graduates Soyoka Yoshida, Tsugumi Aritomo, and Momoe Mori in the formation of @onefive. Which leaves Momoko Okazaki as last standing Avenger with no new commitments. However, Kano was technically in Sakura Gakuin, @onefive, and Babymetal all at the same time for almost a year so it is possible she will still be an Avenger. There's a reason why they always win the popular vote of best live shows. We pretty much all don't know Japanese, it doesn't matter, just like I didn't understand English until 12 and still only listened to English music.

It is so much fun seeing someone discover BabyMetal. I love seeing if reactions are the same as mine when I first was lucky enough to find them. The music, vocals, cuteness, the Kami band, the live performances..... just makes me smile non stop. I know others will recommend plenty for you. You really can't go wrong. Their live shows are amazing, but even their MV are great. Megitsune has the best MV imo. Headbangeeeerrrr I would try for the live version from the Legend of 1997 concert. Have fun!

Glad you're enjoying Babymetal. If you're looking for some other good Babymetal songs to check out, try any one of these: BABYMETAL - KARATE (OFFICIAL) BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! (feat. F.HERO) BABYMETAL - Headbanger (live) BABYMETAL - MEGITSUNE If you're up for checking out another Japanese band, I 100% recommend Band-Maid. They're hard rock, all-female band. They have 6 albums out, and since the last 3, they write all their own lyrics and music. Seriously, you need to check these gals out. It's not the same genre (hard rock as opposed to heavy metal), but if you like Babymetal I can almost gurantee you'll like Band-Maid as well. I highly recommend anything live by them. Here are some recommendations, all of which can be found on their official youtube channel: Live: BAND-MAID / Choose me (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / DOMINATION (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / FREEDOM (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / Play (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND MAID / REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018) BAND-MAID / onset (Apr. 13th, 2018) (this one is an instrumental) Music Videos: BAND-MAID / Dice BAND-MAID / 輪廻 ( RINNE ) BAND-MAID / Blooming

Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, and Guns N' Roses, Korn and Stone Sour were nice enough to close shows for then on tours. Robert Halford from Judas Priest did a few songs with them live and Judas Priest closed for them too. DRAGONFORCE has worked with them on stage and was instrumental in this song.

3.16 "those group chants" japanese music is often written with the live performance in mind. these chants are incorporated in the studio recordings to give a live audience something to participate. During a live show those chants come from the PA and from the audience which can make it confusing when you hear it the first time. Through this the audience becomes part of the choreography which makes awesome live videos. "Headbanger" and "catch me if you can" are good examples for this concept. An even better one is BiSH - giant killers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j_TjkQuENXM.html

Just to inform you, Road of Resistance have 204 bpm. Same with my heart rate when I first heard of the song😂. No wonder you're really amazed with the drums. Next song, can you do Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of Gods Intro Live at Budokan Black Night 2014? If you want to see each band member's skills and capability, this is perfect for you as they have their own solos (2 guitars, 1 bass and 1 drum solo) that will really blow your mind. Be sure that the one you will watch is the one with Mischief of Gods Intro because there are some videos lying around with the intro cut-out and that ruins your first experience with the song. This is Su's (the lead singer, the one in the middle) solo so don't be surprised if you don't see the other girls because theyre having a break (actually, their doing their homeworks) from their 60-90 mins performance. They also have their songs performed by only Yui and Moa (the two girls on the side who mainly dance and provide harmonies) also known as "Black Babymetal" give Su a break. If you want to check any BBM songs, I would recommend you Onedari Daisakusen. One thing to remember is always go for their live performances because this is where they really shine. Of course except Karate, Megitsune, Distortion for their great video effects and Iine or "iine" (spelled it in lower-case letters to prevent misreading; pronounced as ee-neh) for its *i don't wanna spoil* part that they don't do on their live performances. Also PREVENT LIVE COMPILATIONS as these may confuse you as a first time listener mainly (but not all) because most of the video and audio from these videos were not in sync. Also keep some occasional pauses throughout the video or else Amuse Inc. will smite your video. They're pretty strict with copyright issues. These were my advice for you as a beginner BM fan and enjoy your sweet time falling down the foxhole. There may be some more BM fans that will create more "Wall of Text"s to educate you with BM. Catch you at the foxhole! Kitsunes up!

You'll need to check out Band-Maid as well (5 girl rock band, all play their own instruments). They're a totally different flavour compared to Baby Metal (more mature sounding) since they tend to stick to rock music. Most people stan both bands. (the best song to intro Band-Maid with is "Freedom"...why?...because the band itself said they like playing it the most...watch the live version) For Baby Metal watch all live performances (except Megitsune): Death (legend of 1997) - no singing, just demonic chanting and a metal theater experience (arguably their heaviest song) Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan Black Night - the first half of the "song" is introduction solos by the band members Headbangerrr - self explanatory, just awesome fun Papaya - their most popular "pop-sounding" song currently and its a heavy cardio workout (you'll lose 2 kilos jumping to this and waving your towel along with the crowd) Give Me Chocolate - this song is used as the "intro to Baby Metal" given to new people who have never seen them before. Its a very "WTF is this and why do i like it" moment in their lives. Megitsune - this is when they were babies (12? years old) and basically how it all started

Not all Babymetal videos are this bad for copyright. It's the ones from the official Babymetal account. (and not all of them) User posted live concert videos are mostly fine because they already made it past the block to get posted. It's not that they aren't blocked, but they already made it past once :) Some people overreact and pause 4 billion times on videos that are perfectly safe. Babymetal let BMTH open for them in Japan. These are the size arenas and crowds they were playing to. (they probably played this arena) That was a big opportunity since BMTH was not well known in Japan.

Pretty good performance for High School students, Huh!?!? At this point they have been performing for more than an hour, can you tell? They are in their mid-teens at the time of this concert. 2020 is their 10th anniversary for Babymetal. Su-metal today is 22 and Moamtelal is 21. Yuimetal left the band for health reasons in 2018. Su and Moa have been performing professionally on stage since they were 6 years old. They have sold-out the Wembley Arena in the UK (breaking the record for merchandise sold), plus the LA Forum in 2019, and sold-out the Tokyo Dome 2 nights running (each night a different concert) Dome capacity 55,000.

I think you made a decent choice for your first Babymetal video. But it might be good to know that the Babymetal catalogue is ridiculously diverse, so get ready for a few surprises along the way! It would be easy to recommend great tracks that would really throw you for a loop, but I think that something like "Headbanger" might be a nice transitional piece. It's not too dissimilar from what you just saw, but has a few more of the fun and cute elements of Babymetal thrown in. Go for the live recordings whenever you can, as I'm sure you've figured out already: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YjjWZpf_jSs.html Another good one would be "Rondo of Nightmare", which is a solo by Su. Just make sure you watch the video with the "Mischief of the Gods" intro, to get some nice solos from the Kami band as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8WBDiLMNZcE.html I did notice you calling the song you just listened to "simple", which is fair enough, but just to quickly convince you that this is not at all typical of Babymetal, you might want to go straight to their most progressive track; "Tales of the Destinies". Unfortunately the live recordings of this one (which has only been performed live once) do not stay up on RU-vid for very long, so you might have to settle for the studio version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w6dXuBUrS7k.html After that, should you feel like something a bit heavier, try "Babymetal Death" or "In the Name of". For Su's perhaps most popular solo, go with "Akatsuki". If you're in the mood for cuteness overload, watch "Onedari Daisakusen". Or if you want one of the more quintessential Babymetal songs, listen to "Megitsune" (and perhaps make that your first official music video). And when you think that you now know what Babymetal is all about, maybe switch it up with "BxMxC" :-) I'm really envious of people like you who are just about to discover what Babymetal has to offer. It's quite the journey! One I will have fun watching you make :-)
