I will never understand how the all-time home run king for second basemen is not in and Scott Rolan gets in. And wow I assumed Steve Garvey had been in the HoF for years, had no idea he was not. That one really does not make any sense.
So many of my summers as a kid watching web gems on Baseball Tonight from 2001-2007 where nightly it was Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds, Andruw Jones, and Torii Hunter making ridiculous catches. Then Vlad making great throws, great times
My glory years as a kid watching baseball was the early nineties but I was at bar watching the Twins and almost spit out my beer when Hunter made that catch to rob a HR against the White Sox.
I feel like Rolen was one of the top five all around third basemen, for over a decade during his era,&top three for probably half of that time. People are talking about him like he was some kinda one hit wonder or a roleplayer. There are worse players in the hall of fame, but the media is ripping Rolen to shreds during a time that's supposed to be a celebration of his career.
Dave parker was the best player in the game for 5 years and he's not in, too me if you have to think about it, then they don't belong, it's not the hall of the very good!
Lol obviously when Trout is on the bench you’re not going to watch Trout. That’s a low level argument. When Trout is on the baseball diamond, if you truly enjoy the game of baseball, he is must watch baseball.
How in the hell did Omar Vizquel get lost in HOF oversight?Over 2800 hits and is overwhelmingly considered a top 5 defensive infielder of all time.As great as Ozzie was when you put the body of work side by side it isnt even close.
The question was the first occurrence. That wasn’t even Manning’s first all-SEC SB (played against Florida product Rex Grossman when the Colts and Bears met in the downpour in Miami).
Schilling didn't do that in any serious way, it was clearly a joke. An edgy/offensive joke, sure, but he wasn't earnestly calling for journalists' deaths. Come on now. We live in a society that's filled with irreverent, off-the-wall, exaggerated humor, and yet one guy makes a joke/meme that rubs the media the wrong way, and everyone clutches their pearls. It's insane. Schilling is not a bad guy. He's just a bit rough around the edges sometimes and doesn't have a great filter. Let us forgive! He's not any kind of actual psycho calling for murders.
The 50yo barely cares. MLB is for old men, and I mean 65+, who else has time to watch that boring crap for 4 hours, and how many games? Give me a break. 7 innings should be plenty. Also don’t be in the Pittsburgh market
