While Chris Sharma climbs Time Machine, Yuji irayama is on belay and gives incredible explanations. So a few hours later, climbing is a success.

Great video. Very generous of Yuji to provide beta on his project for a world class climber. I hope other climbers can be so humble.

@matt graham I've never met a climber who wasn't willing to share beta or help me or someone else through a climb/project and i think that is a wonderfull aspect of this sport/hobby

Chris Sharma will always be my favorite climber because of his humility and very positive, calming attitude. Seems like some climbers today are more obsessed with being considered the best that they lose sight of why we climb in the first place (find inner peace, become one with nature, etc...). Great to see such a calming video put together. Hopefully this video will make the rounds and we can get back to enjoying climbing for what it is and not only see it as a means of achieving notoriety and fame. Awesome job guys✌🏽

You assert that in the first place "we" climb to find inner peace and become one with nature. That may be why you climb, but to dictate to others what the right reasons for climbing are and to implicitly devalue other attitudes and lifestyles seems disrespectful and intolerant to me. Every climber has their own reason to climb, and to me every reason and approach is equally valid.
@dustinirwin1
@dustinirwin1 4 года назад
It's weird how critical your comment is while extolling the virtues of inner peace, all the while ranking humans as better than others based on how you perceive the virtues. Let folks pursue their own passions for their own reasons free of our judgments.

the dust masks lmao as someone who wears diff types of respirators all the time for work, all those paper masks are doing is retaining some warmth from the breath, and maybe creating a secondary salival environment, there is breath coming in through the sides. just wear a gaitor. this video was great btw

C’mon mate - never ever - EVER - let go of the brake rope?! You learn that in your first minute of every climbing course or at the crag - can‘t be serious even if you‘re using a grigri...
@deloprojet
@deloprojet 4 года назад
In fact Chris is "direct", that's why Yuji Hirayama looses the rope. When editing the video I did a lot of cutting, there are several hours of footages. It's good to report it indirectly.
@ruu7574
@ruu7574 4 года назад
delo projet at 1:43 he‘s lowering him and also looses the rope before - might of course be cut a little bit unlucky if chris is direct but not the best role model... Maxbe look for it next time so there are no doubts - but nevertheless great footage, nice angles, cool edit - really worth to watch 👍🏻

Thank you very much for pointing it out to me, I would be careful in the future. Normally we do not film the belayer, but as it was a world-class climber, I put it in the video. Exactly I'm on the edition of another video, which is obvious for me not necessarily for the spectators, thank you again.
