Last year he has 6 comeback wins with his team down by 10 or more while having the 31st ranked defense. Tell me of another QB that did that!

That is a VERY impressive stat...he will have ALOT of pressure on him this year...he has weapons everywhere....he needs to have a bounce back season because he did not look good during that meltdown. If he struggles this year the philly fans and media will have the knives out for him...saying he has been exposed by nfl defenses.

When Hurts had a competent OC for two consecutive years, he was a top 3 QB in the league. He was held back by his playcallers last year. I expect him to take a huge leap with Kellen Moore this year, despite a slow start.
@Portuducks

I still find it bizarre that Sirianni, who was previously an OC before becoming the head coach at Philly, has seemingly zero input on the Eagles' offense. Like wtf was he doing at Indy that he can't design his own plays in Philly?

The thing that is never brought up with Jalen is that when he had an OC for back to back years is when he flourished. Every other season he has had a new OC. If he had stability at OC, then he would be able build even more which would be scurry.

i’m a birds fan but this is overblown. how many qbs get that luxury? OCs that don’t want to be head coaches are rare nowadays. maybe birds should get an offensive HC instead of siri cuz the HC will stick around and keep they plays the same. and i don’t even think siri is a bad coach but may be a bad coach for this qb if he needs stability so bad.
@neetrab
@neetrab 25 дней назад
 huh??? Overblown?? What are you talking about?? So, you're saying it was just a coincidence that THE ONE time he actually had an OC for more than a year, he made the SB and almost won the SB?? Do you think Patrick Mahomes had different OCs and has always just looked great? No. He's been coddled his entire career with the SAME OC EVERY year. The ONE year his OC left, Mahomes stats went down. I guess you think that was just a coincidence too? 🙄

I’m excited to see how Hurts has improved. He has the best offensive talent he’s had in his career. I think less is more with Hurts. When he gets into throwing 35-40 times is not a good thing. Around the 25-30 mark is going to be the sweet spot in my opinion. Rely on Barkley and the run game, and hopefully the defense talent upgrades translate in the field as well.

I want Hurts to play like his brain is a supercomputer - just like Brady and Manning and Brees played. A lot of times I'm watching his game and there are things he doesn't see or recognize at all, or if he does see them, he sees them a half second too late. I value QBs who are great because of the rapidity at which their brains process enormous amounts of information. I value cerebral play far more than I value athleticism, and I want Hurts to become one of the most cerebral QBs in NFL history. That's what would make me happy with him.
