His work on the Bryan Ferry album “In Your Mind” was fantastic. His playing on “Love Me Madly Again” is a highlight of his expressiveness. To this day I have not heard a sound like it. Loved his work. Underrated player. Way less egotistic than Page.
Spedding as a Stone would've been pretty great! I saw him & Snips, with Jackie Badger in the band, at The Edge....does anyone know if that was the same tour as this Masonic Temple show?
I saw Spedding with the Necessaries at the Edge. I was not aware of his playing another gig there. I've seen Chris at the Diamond (with John Cale), the El Mocambo, Larry's Hideaway (solo and with Roy Harper), also the Phoenix (with Robert Gordon). I think I missed the Masonic Temple show with Snips.
@@frederickharrison3085 Chris Spedding played so many shows in Toronto! There are rumours he lived there at one time. Going back through very old memories, I saw him with the stripped-down Busta "Cherry" Jones line-up at some club I can't recall (drunk!). Saw him with Robert Gordon in Oshawa - that was superb! Maybe a show or two more, even....
If you ever see this ! haha ... Its "Nine O'Clock" from Snips' solo album La Rocca recently re-released ! If you don't know or haven't yet got around to buying some fantastic Spedding Recordings are NEW !! -- King Mob "Force 9" // Chris Spedding "Joyland" // Sharks "Killers of The Deep" & "Ready Set Go" are ALL hugely well worth getting - Chris Spedding & Snips' Output Recently in their last 4-5 years is CRAZY !! Stunning Really
Also King Mob might as well have been called The Sharks - That Album "Force 9" Is An Absolute Killer and I would say thee best release of that year 100% Not A One Iota Exaggeration - It Is That Good !! Martin Chambers , Glen Matlock , Guy Pratt , Andy Newmark & newcomer psychedelic rockabilly punk guitarist Sixteen -- BAND !!! Superb ... seriously though all 4 of those are a massive must for any Chris Spedding / Sharks / Rock n Roll fan
