I found this song when my marriage was going through crap. It's such a feel bad song. Maybe one of the saddest songs ever. But damn, it's great. Luckily, my marriage got healed and we're happy now. This started my Chris Stapleton obsession though. But the words are "I won't love you either way". See? Sad song.

Aww… I wish he had said he’s gonna love her either way, but he don’t. It’s a tear jerker when you realize he’s saying he doesn’t love her. Especially for a divorced person who’s lived it. I hope Maggie’s Song is on your list of Chris tunes. It’s another tear jerker but it’s a whole other kind of lost love song. ☺️

I just came across your reaction to Tennessee Whiskey and was so glad to see you’d discovered this song. I’m not a country music fan but I’m definitely a Chris Stapleton fan because he’s in a league of his own. The first time I heard this song it nearly brought me to tears. I’ve been happily married for 32 years and it’s so sad (even if it’s just a song) to hear about a marriage being so completely loveless. His music is beyond amazing and you can feel every note and lyric. I’ve watched several of your videos and your reactions are hilarious and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you!

Love this song. Enjoyed your reaction. Suggestion...seek out live Chris Stapleton performances to review. As good as his studio performances are, his live performances are even better. At least for me. He did this song live on the Charlie Rose Show...just him and his acoustic guitar that is awesome and there is the video to enjoy as he performs it. Suggest an early fan cam performance of Chris doing an original he wrote, Barely Alive, that is amazing. Shot by fan in a bar / supper club before he became famous. The crowd is a little noisy at first then his amazing voice makes them all stfu and listen. Definitely worth a reaction. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Love your reactions to all these great singers. I'd like to suggest checking out some of the rising stars of country music. Jimmie Allen won New Artist of the Year at Wednesday's CMA Awards. Allen seems to have real heart and soul, which was evident during his earnest, appreciative award acceptance. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of him in the years to come. Suggest "Best Shot" or "Freedom Was A Highway".
