I'm 66 yrs old. As a kid I was only allowed to listen to gospel music. Never started to listen until about 10 yrs ago. R&B fascinates me and this man, Chris Stapleton has me mesmerized. Can't get enough of him and Home Free. Love your channel by the way. Jus a lil late gettin here. God bless.

You should review some of his older stuff when he was in a group called The Steeldrivers, there is an amazing song called “can you run” , I think you’d love the historical implications in the song, if you ever listen to it you will know exactly what I’m talking about.
I don't know if you realize it but when your listening to country music your southern accent comes out more pronounced in your voice. And yes he plays the lead guitar

It's one of those songs that gets you right in the feels. All of his songs are like that though. I'm not your typical male I guess, I cry at songs . His whole album brings tears to my eyes.

The warden allowed Merle to have a guitar and he wrote his great music and sang to prisoners all day. Merle wrote the big hit song “Sing Me Back Home”. YOU MUST REACT! Its about a death row prisoner that requested Merle sing a special song as he was lead to his death.

As amazing as Chris's voice is, his guitar playing is preserving a blues sound that's a national treasure. Christone "Kingfish" Ingram is also doing great work, and he's still really young.
