Just ran across your reaction so this is very late but........this is my reaction to your comment about the background. Dead animals on the floor? In Texas they would say, "You ain't from around these parts." It's Austin, the capitol of Texas, The Longhorn State. Longhorns are a breed of cattle. Texas history is all about cowboys & cattle: cattle ranches, cattle round-ups, cattle branding, cattle drives....You get the picture. So, yes, there are cattle hides on the floor. (As a side note, the blankets over the equipment are reminiscent of Navajo weavings.) What he's wearing? Many, many people throughout the South wear cowboy hats & boots. It's just a casual, everyday look.
Austin Tx is where Outlaw Country Music got it's start. Willie Nelson started the genre and Chris 4 decades later is a welcomed addition. Artists that do their music and be who they are not being pigeonholed into any label. Austin is also the home for South by Southwest (abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By) an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences. City motto is Keep Austin Weird. Spent my college years there.

Stapleton is the true GOAT of country. The way he sings with such feeling and soul. Mixes the blues effortlessly with it. Death Row is one of his best.
This is a great song but I can say that I actually prefer the album version. It is missing the jam at the end but the way he does his runs in so intense when heard through load-ass headphones or on a proper stereo. I'll tell you what my mother always told me when I was growing up: "If it's not loud, it can't reach your soul."

It’s that small group bar feel. Ed Sheehan did a really good job there too. The Gingers arms are HUGE and his pedal work while he is playing is really good too. Of course not many can compare to Stapleton! If I could suggest the band that is touring with Chris Stapleton... React to Good By Carolina by The Marcus King band. It is so haunting oh but make sure it’s the official video for the whole story. It’s gonna break your heart but this dude is only like 21 or so he is amazing!
I didn't think I would like the song "Say Something," because he sang with Justin Timberlake and I didn't think they would mesh well but I ended up loving it, I would be interested in what you think.

Chris Stapleton is one of my absolute favorites. Check out him and Justin Timberlake 2 songs at the CMT’s. They did “Tennessee Whiskey” and “I can’t drink you away”. Those two together are freaking awesome! Also, I would love to see you react to Mark Lowry featuring Voctave singing “Mary did you know”. Amazing vocals in that song. Mark wrote the song and it is amazing. I hope you are able to react to these songs. Take care!
