The important word in your comment is REAL. He has a mixture of authentic American music that spans the spectrum. Depending on the song, you can hear blues, country, gospel, soul and rock elements that are beautifully blended into something extraordinary. When people praised him for his efficiency after his wife told him to do something while she was changing and ready to go out, and he wrote a hit song during the time she took, she set everyone straight. She pointed out that Chris did not really write the song; great artists like him draw out the music inside them, much like Michaelangelo drew out sculptures from the stone he was working with. Like many great songwriters, Stapleton has ideas floating around and is always playing with them. At times of inspiration, out pops a song that is shaped and refined into a finished product. As you said, the man is the real deal.
I don't think most people truly understand how amazing Stapleton and his band are, and it extends well beyond the "country" genre that people place him into. He is a purveyor of true musicianship and the songwriting speaks for itself. Guitars and bass are plugged into real amplifiers, keys and pedal steel are being played by people, not backing tracks. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform back in September and it was one of the warmest and most authentic sounding live arena shows I've heard. Do yourself a favor and spend whatever it costs to see them whenever they come through your town, because this is a once in a generation artist and should be experienced in a live setting.
Wow what an awesome thing for you to say. Just for that, I think I’m gonna have to experience it for myself. Born & raised here in Calif I could kick myself in the ass for not making it to Chris/Dwight together this past summer….it’s time I step up just as they have. Thank you.
I do understand!!! He is a HUGE talent.... unbelievable....all of them!!! I have tears in my eyes when I hear him. From time to time I dedicate a whole evening to listening to and watching Chris Stapleton.
Hello Sheila, how're you doing, Your comment caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you!❤️
My fav Chris Stapleton videos on YT are watching POC reacting to Chris Stapleton music for the first time. It makes my heart smile watching the surprise and joy in their faces. My hope for this planet is that we ALL show up at a BBQ and Chris is playing live. 🤞🏼😊
Shut, go to his RU-vid channel. I promise you he reads a lot of the comments. He is talented as talent gets, but he is even more humble and genuine. I love him❤ & I love you ❤️ too. God is so good.
Edd you got it right, he actually graduated hs about 13 miles from my home. Love et he does. But, I am a hillbilly gal The Noah thompson kid lives about 40 minutes from me lol Ky Strong But Chris is just plain old good music 🎶
@@carolecaudill4962 nobody famous from where I come from. . . But there use to be a fella that lived close by that could eat 25 hot dogs without loosening his belt. . And would still go home and eat whatever his sister fixed for supper. .
He is absolutely the most talented voice since Elvis, but i must say that you can't forget his backup singer. He and his wife sound so wonderful together. I think a lot of the songs we all love so much would not be as good without her in them. They were meant to be together and share it with the world. And thank goodness they do. Thank you both for making this world a better place to be.
Very well said! I remember listening to chris Stapleton back before no one knew who he was and I was running around showing his videos off to everyone completely blown away with his voice! When I heard them play “Amanda” and that blonde backup singer (Morgan) I was like holy smokes those 2 sound insane together! Then I find out they’re married and have kids!! Those 2 crazy voices have offspring together….those kids probably came out singing! They’re gonna be ridiculous singers if they pursue it. Love everything you do Chris!

I'm an old guy, and I just discovered Chris Stapleton's band. I watched the Anthem the next day after the super bowl, because I just wasn't following football this year like days gone past, kind of like music gone past... So was cruising through RU-vid today and ran across the Anthem again, and "really" watched it again. Thought I'd watch some other Chris Stapleton stuff, which brings me to this concert... I sure am impressed with these youngsters... Gives me faith in young music again. Does anyone else see, or hear, or feel comparisons to the early Allman Brothers , or Marshall Tucker? Anyway, i'm very impressed, and glad I found them.
Yes....I definitely pick up MTB. Saw them at the Horse Park of NJ for their 45th Anniversary....they were FAB!! I'm new to Chris as well. Love so many of his songs....but Tennessee Whiskey was #1....then COLD....blew me away. I hope I can get to see he live.....soon!!💜💜
I discovered him because he looked like one of my former students.... when I posted that on facebook, the student's mom replied. So that night, in this my 75th year, I discovered Chris Stapleton and reconnected with a kid who once road his horse to visit his old little school in the city of Brentwood Tennessee...... life is good !
This is the very first time hearing this guy after the national anthem, and I swear to the Lord above that I just can't stop crying with a smile. Every song is like a damn movie that just moves you to uncontrollable tears..So happy I discovered this man's music.
Can you imagine thinking your stage days are over, sitting by your pond with your husband and Chris Stapleton calls you and asks you to perform with him??? Loved Pattys reaction and Chris’ respect for her
Everyone who reads this, we don't know each other and probably never will but I wish you TOO all the best in life and all the luck in the world 💕🥰 From Germany
I have been waiting desperately for a professionally recorded version of a live Chris Stapleton concert for so long now… I’m a very happy man right now!!!!!
Me too... So thrilled we can see the concert on video....I am From Eastern Kentucky ~ Ashland....💚💪. I LOVE ALL our County Music. Great to see Patty Loveless on stage again 🤗🙏
I'm half Texan and half from Oklahoma. I am countrty born and bred. Chris Staplton is incredible. Having his wife helping is awesome! Keep it up Mr. Stapleton!
KY girl Patty Loveless finally getting the proper cred she deserves from Chris . She IS the best country singer ever hands down & as usual she knocked it out of the park ! So glad to see this wonderful woman performing again ...Go Patty !
I heard this man sing for the first time on the inboard entertainment on a delta flight from Australia to USA, I didnt know him but randomly chose the song, replayed it 20 times until the plane landed, felt like I won the lottery, that was my four leaf clover, Kenny Rogers had passed and I found my new Country Singer !
Mostly a metal guy here; then I saw Chris's National Anthem performance. Now I can't stop listening to this fella. Spectacular. Going out to buy a Cowboy hat and a Fender Jazzmaster.
Sweet... I live in Nashville, grew up on Motown up in Michigan... but Chris rolls the best of ALL music together. So glad I lived long enough bathe in this music.
He seems less of a "showman" and more of a deep, deep soul. The way he squeezes his eyes so tightly closed when he hits those heart-ripping lyrics.... he goes internal for a while. But here, he was back HOME... and it seemed to ease him a bit.
I teach young people like Chris... each one gifted and each one saddled with their own cross to bear... but with encouragement and love they can become beacons for the rest of us. Bless Them!
Proud to be a Kentucky Girl through and through. This takes me back to the summer days on the porch with my mamaw, uncles and dad singing beautiful hymns and old school back home music. Makes my heart happy and full to hear this. ♥

There’s only a handful of artists that I can honestly say I could listen only to them the rest of my life. Chris is one of them. I never get tired of his music. Just awesome.
When you see a performance like that it reminds you why we are here and what we are capable of. If we could only stop fighting amongst ourselves. What a universal species we could be.
Observe the improvise: When Chris asked Patty for one more song, it was as if Chris intended it as a surprise. It was heartwarming to see her reaction-holding a hand to her heart, Patty's voice hauls you back to the 90s with the gravitational force of a black hole. It completely rips your heart out. Even if you've never heard her music before, it evinces the nostalgia for everyone: both younger and older generations. During that performance, Chris and Patty looked at each other and signaled who was going to sing. Moving close to the mic, Patty takes the lead and sings her song. At times, Patty withdraws from the mic to gesture Chris to "take it away." And when they both sang, it had an immense effect: The melding of the voices, the eras, the facets of country music-evolving into something new and refreshing. It was a legendary performance.
Oh god yes........ When she comforted Vince Gill at George Jone's funeral, singing "Go rest high on that Mountain" .... She has always been STRONG while humble. And that is how I see Chris as well. The history runs so deep in this music... in the 1950s I would listen to my little AM radio late at night when WSM's 50 thousand watt clear channel reached all the way to Michigan. Now, I live in Nashville... high on a forested hill and listen to it on my laptop computer. Glad I lived to be 75 and that I still have ears !
Nothing like watching that “Kentucky boy’s”wife, as she beats the tambourine to death, live for us tonight…….And now This olé Tennessee boy is tired, and it’s time to lay it down, thank you for the show Chris, good night and see you around!
It would be nice but I've given up after screwing up 3 marriages. It ain't for everyone and I guess I'm one but I refuse to be bitter! It'll all work out
They need to start calling this act The Stapleton’s or Chris and Morgane Stapleton. Her voice is so much of the Stapleton sound and she belts it out with perfection. ❤
Thank you for this! Patty Loveless and Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam .. Thank you for this free concert for those of us who cannot afford live concerts anymore. Love Chris Stapleton and his music!
Yes, and thankful that it was a benefit concert to help those here in Eastern Ky from the July floods , lives lost , homes lost, memories lost . But, I am ky proud and Ky Strong..just a hillbilly gal in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. But, truly a praise for God and the Talent praise be
Parachute was the very first song I heard Chris sing over the radio. I immediately looked him up on RU-vid and have been a die hard fan ever since !!! Saw him live several years ago, and it was awesome, he gives a 1000 % to his fans, and he's just as good live as he is on his recordings.
Lol me too , first song I heard of him on radio..Parachute, although I am a hillbilly gal and had heard him . But, wow that first-time on radio I too was hooked

I love Chris. His heart comes through every song he sings and his talent is so moving to so many. The most special thing to me is that he sings to his wife and many of his songs are love songs, and the interaction between him and his wife when they sing is just so amazing. You can see true love performing live in front of you. It moves me so much. God knows I wish I could sing to my wife like that and see her sing back to me. Thank you Chris, you make me believe that true love is still real.

Just can’t stop listening to this guy, a ridiculous talent. Have seen him the last two summers and he’s so pure in concert. We are lucky to be able to experience this man’s music.
I agree ! I am also 75 and, over the years have moved from Ann Arbor Michigan to San Diego Calif.... to Nashville Tennessee. Sometimes the currents of life are kind....and I am grateful to be here tonight....... listening to these good people.
I saw Chris Stapleton at the Susquehanna/ Phila / New Jersey concert of June 2018 . I’m still talking about that concert ! I was right up front. I could’ve shaken his hand . I love how he has the love for writing music and now performing! Oh and his guitars he plays … His Amazing, phenomenally talented! ❤❤❤

First heard Chris three or four years ago. I've been to two concerts and an avid fan ever since. He's one of those rare gems that only come around once a generation or so. A rocking, country, blues artist with a voice that speaks to the soul.
Yes.... his music takes hold of our innermost parts with the most beautiful pain... because that is what this what the people of the region have lived through... held just above the drowning line... by their personal and honest music.

Did not discover you until a few years ago and love your music. My nephew is about 20 yrs younger and so does he. We talk about you, your lovely wife and your music. Today is my birthday and I couldn't wait until you sang Tennesse Whiskey, our favorite song.

That set with Ricky Skaggs. Holy crap! Chris can totally adjust his voice for genre. Anyone else remember "Bury Me Beneath the Willow" as the first song publicly performed by Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt?
Yes... and his respect for every artist underpins his blending to every genre. He brought so many to Nashville and the CMAs who would never have been there without him... and that is what we all so desperately need.
Kentucky artists have that certain something that none else has. That feeling. That delivery. Different voices but the same feeling. Like something that you just know. It's just in us. Thank u for this Chris. My favorite artists were all on stage.
Nothing compares to this! Unbelievable! Goose bumps, smiles and tears rolling!!! I won’t ever be the same. Love the fact I got to see emotions, true talent, and heart! Not a lot of lights and distractions. Pure talent and sooo heart felt. THANK YOU Y’ALL FOR THE JOY YOU HAVE GIVEN ME! ❤😢😂🎉
Loved seeing Ricky Skaggs & Patty Loveless. Country music isn't country anymore in FAR too many cases. Thank you for reminding us what country music is supposed to be, Chris!
These are 3 of the best singer songwriters to grace us undeserving vile souls,,owwwww,,blessed to be alive and loving wat they preaching,, blessings to y'all,, kindness rejects wrath

I haven't fallen in love with someone's music since Dwight Yoakum until I heard Chris Stapleton perform. I can listen to him everyday and night and still be eexcitedi to hear more of him. I love to see the affection between him and Morgane as well. Now that's how a man treats the woman he loves !
So damn good. Chris Stapleton is easily one of the best artists on the planet and with Morgane singing backup as well it's a match made in heaven. Loved the second duet with Patty loveless, such a great performance all round! Only spoiled by the most horribly timed RU-vid ads in history! More ads than a superbowl!😭

I watched them perform this tune tonight on ACA and it blew me away. Never heard It before. Patty Loveless brought tears to my eyes. Then the song after it my Mom who is now passed used to play it over and over after a few ( or more) drinks. I think she knew it was Divorce time coming. I still can't listen to it without seeing her sitting there singing ( or try to) it. Mom and Dad both passed of Cancer not to long after the Divorce 😪 But they still loved each other.
I love all kinds of music from all eras. You’ll hear people complain about country becoming too pop. I don’t have a problem with artists pushing the genre because there’s always someone comes along and steers country back toward its roots. Chris has certainly done that. What a talent
This man brings so much emotion out of every song. I think he may be the greatest american song writer to ever grace this planet. Enjoy! If this music doesn't bring emotions to the surface you're dead!✌️

This is why I love country music it don't get any better then that some of the best artists came and performed to help our neighbors. That's guys u all rock
Just when Chris Stapleton has taken me on an East Kentucky high his generational talent says all. I was born In Western New York. I have and lived in the Adirondack mts. as a boy Blue grass through and through.
What a wonderful concert for a great cause. We sure need something like this in Australia, so many flood victims and many of them flooded three times, just getting cleaned up and starting again. Beautiful to see Patty again, just love her
We also need his spirit here in the USA.... we are trying to recover from having had Trump for President ... and the wounds are deep and we need talent which also has a soul of kindness and gratitude.
