The only genre it probably shouldn't borrow from is pop, IMO, just don't care for that cross-over stuff, in general. But CS is the real deal, a pleasure to listen to. In fact, to those who aren't sure about how soulful Chris is, listen to Chris's version of James Brown's track It is a man's word.
