I beg to differ. It is not effortless. It is the result of years of practice, passion and commitment. He treats his voice like every other instrument in his arsenal... something to learn, practice, hone and hopefully, someday, master.

I saw a video of Chris Stapleton, stating that he considers himself to be “country.“ He said that he sings whatever he feels. And I think we all can attest to that! Chris Stapleton has a trifecta! He has God given talent when it comes to the guitar, song, writing, and singing!

listen to Chris' cover of "its a man's world' (james brown cover ) live and his own songs 'either way' - 'barely alive ' - 'i was wrong' - 'higher' - 'north dakota ' - 'death row' - and his video 'fire away' (very important message on mental health) but there are so many many more (past and present).. he is a true artist! And he always has a story to tell .. the best storyteller ever!! your reaction is great!

He writes great, he delivers the music better than most, and drives it into you, his vocals exceed anyone in country music, which is his title genre, he literally can own about 8 genres,plus he is his own genre. There has never been anyone like him since I have been alive.

Another one you should check out is "What are you listening to" Same as this one, just Chris and his guitar in a radio station show. I don't understand why this one is always overlooked. I know ALL of his stuff and its one of my favorites of his. Make sure you find the XTU Philadelphia (Live Acoustic) version.
