Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin; Each vict’ry will help you some other to win; Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue; Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through. Refrain: Ask the Savior to help you, Comfort, strengthen, and keep you; He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through. Shun evil companions, bad language disdain, God’s name hold in rev’rence, nor take it in vain; Be thoughtful and earnest, kindhearted and true; Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through. To him that o’ercometh, God giveth a crown, Through faith we will conquer, though often cast down; He who is our Savior, our strength will renew; Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through. Thee spirit is moving

In this new and improved mind set, it nice to hear some of the old favorites. It's a comfort for the 50 and older folks to hear these songs and remember growing up in the lord's church! Young folks listen to the words they never loss their TRUTH! Thank You Brother!
Brother Chris - I hope you are well and read this at some point- I really like this song- even before I was a Christian I knew the first line or two of this song and it helped me kick a long addition to tobacco- each time I resisted temptation it helped strengthen me for the next temptation - 25 years later without a single puff of a cigarette and I am now a Christian and a song leader at my congregation - I admire the soulful leading you are able to do and try to learn from that- I would love to hear you add the first verse of “Take time to be holy “ and make it the third verse of this song - it fits if you use the chorus to “yield not to temptation “.. I believe you and the church could pull it off- God bless
Matthew 7:7-ASK, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Before you give up after trying everything, TRY JESUS. He is ABLE to do the impossible. Be a witness and tell this world about a God that's ABLE. Jesus rose from the grave with ALL POWER. Proverbs 3:5-6.
LOVEX#, an humble way 2 redemption instead of revenge. "Someother to 2 win." After the birth of my daughter, school delay, still delay. TGBTG! Thanks for the rendition.
I would like to have a copy of that song and music, I've never heard it before. It's a good song with truth and meaning, not full of fluff or the same line over and over, Praise God.
Thank you Jesus for your Holy Spirit who is our keeper! Thank you Lord for using Brother Chris for your glory! Such a beautiful gift you have placed in him. Thank you Brother Humbeisdaway for the wonderful work you do in providing these wonderful songs of praise unto the living God!
I heard this rendition years years ago and it inspired me and I just searched for it for one hour as I'm in need of inspiration. Thank you brother what a spirit filled passionate voice in an attitude of worship.
