I think Chris Watts loved his little brother in law, did you see that quick glance? If he was capable of love, that is. He must have felt something special for him. He was the only one he tried to take a quick peak at. Also, while Shanann's father spoke, he would breath, then hold it, breath then hold it. But with the brother, his breath became fast and shallow. I wished he would have shouted his reason, his sorrow, anything for the family. The lawyers kept a tight leash on his reactions. The females breathing was also very quick and shallow during Shanann's family's sharing. The mother's words moved me the most also. I think hearing words of mercy would hurt Chris more then anger. Thank God for Shanann's friend, who raised the alarm right away. Without her, there could have been many lost hours, but she wouldn't take Chris' indifference sitting down. Thanks also to neighbor Nate, who knew that something was amiss. I wish I could convey my deep sympathy for Shanann's family. So many people around the country love and support you.

She chose to disbelieve not only Shannan's lupus, but also allergies in general, which nearly hurt their granddaughter. They refused to go to the wedding, many years before because of their dislike for Shannan. Their disregard for her and blind support for their son undergirds his thinking. While they didn't intend to do that, the least they could do is acknowledge Shannan.

He’s been in prison since 2018 and he feels that is plenty of time to be locked up for the crimes he did. He wants out of prison. Can’t handle it anymore. This case breaks my heart because people all over the internet trolled and came after her family, Blaming Shannan for her own death. Her husband literally killed his pregnant wife and two daughters because he wasn’t man enough to say he wanted to separate instead he took 4lifes that day, he buried Shannan and dumped those beautiful children in an oil rig from his job. Such a disgusting human being alive and for those who blamed her your even more disgusting.
Chris' parents telling him: "We love you and we forgive you" in the presence of Shannan's devastated family was extremely disrespectful and insensitive !! They could've told him that in private, but still chose to act mean to those poor mother, father and brother who were mourning the terrible loss of four loved ones at once..Indeed, the apple never falls far from the tree !!
The only time he cried was when his mother spoke about how heartbroken she was. The rest of the time when people described him killing his beautiful wife and children he sat there emotionless. No remorse in this monster whatsoever.
I hope his new girlfriend is proud of him and is happy with his multiple life sentences. I hope it was worth it. Those poor babies did not deserve to die just because daddy wanted a different girlfriend.
Shanan’ s parent in law were not her parents, so their loyalty is due to their son even if he is a monster. A mother in law accepts you if you are beneficial to her son but if you turn into a problem then she will become your worst enemy.
It will never not amaze me, that family members can stand by somebody as hideous as Chris Watts. For them to say that they still love him, when he murdered their grandbabies, is reprehensible.

Money…. Divorce expenses, child support for 3 children at this point, alimony, possible bankruptcy, losing his home/ car and would no longer be living the life that attracted NK. He’d be completely broke. It’s no excuse, but it’s a lot of mens motive I’m seeing from all these spousal killings.
He could have just signed his rights away. Or paid support which sucks but is better than murder (he helped make those kids so child support is necessary, men who still want to claim children should pay it).. but I think he wanted a fresh start and didn’t want to be seen as a pos for signing away and abandoning his family. Still would have been better than murdering them
Chris" mother saying to Chris, "We forgive you." That's pitiful. The Watts family didn't lose a child to a horrific murder. Their daughter wasn't murdered while visibly pregnant.

As an uncle to my beautiful little niece, being an uncle to her is the most beautiful thing to have ever happen to me. I would do anything for her. As for Bella, CeCe and unborn Nico, my heart aches for what happened to them, including Shan'ann. Seeing those beautiful little girls picture really tears me up. How could someone, let alone a father could do such horrible things to a child. When I see little kids, even though they are not related to me, I feels love and fatherly instinct kicks in real hard that I would do anything to protect them if something happens to them. How could a father like him did such horrible thing to his own babies. I really wish all the bad things for that evil monster.
I saw the guards all move forward as Frankie junior finished his words & was walking back to his seat, incase he lunged for CW.. I"ll be honest here, I definitely would have lunged over that table for him, if he had killed my only daughter & 3 grandchildren. Nobody should get away with this crime, its despicable & the rage I'd feel as a mother & grandmother would over ride any rules at this point, I'd happily attack the monster sat there.
Cindy Watts went on to say horrible things about Shannan after this. Not a nice family. Glad he’s in prison so he can worry about his safety for the rest of his life.
There are lots of men out there who would have gladly taken Shannan, Bella and Cece off his hands and out of his life forever and he could have run off with his mistress and lived happily ever after. Why did he he have to kill them, especially the kids? This creep deserves his sentence.

It is really disgusting how Ronnie and especially Cindy Watts went on and on and on and on about how much they love their son who brutally murderd his children (their grandchildren) and his own wife so he could be with another woman he was having an affair with. Okay, Cindy we get you lover your son no matter what. But out of consideration for everyone else you could have waited to tell him that on visiting day.
They said it twice and as a parent could you look at your child and ever imagine not loving them? My guess is you are not a parent, you don't know, and are just shooting off your mouth. Any parent is this forum who could, in real time, look at their child and try to imagine the unfathomable and unforeseeable and claim they could revoke their deep feelings of unconditionally love would raise major red flags for me.
She died without ever getting to have a loving exchange with her children after being gone on a trip and the girls died without getting to have a loving last exchange with their mother. This was premeditated murder.
A more appropriate speech from his parents would have been " we will always love you but never forgive you, you have not only killed your wife and children but also shattered our trust in you and taken our grandchildren from us, we didn't raise you to become a murderer and we are devastated by your actions"

@@tavionakeys2934 Not really. Most of the time that happends judges will MAYBE give them a day in jail and then give them a pass as long as they sincerely apologize. Judges understand and the prosecutor will usually defend the person that attacked the murderer. Honestly though. If someone murdered my sister, any amount of jail time would be worth inflicting as much pain as possible on the person that hurt her. If someone murdered my daughter I would HAPPILY do a life sentence to put the murderer through the most agonizing and inhumane torture imaginable. The pain I would inflict on his body would not be comprehendible. Then I would skip to my jail cell with a big ol' satisfied smile on my face and happily do my life sentence without an ounce of guilt or remorse in my soul.

Christ Watt's parents act like their son is the one they lost here. like he is one who is dead and they are morning for. I didn't hear anything from them about what their granddaughters meant to them or how their loss has impacted them. they're truly just grieving for their son and what he did to himself.

Truly tunnel vision; it was all about Chris, the beloved-can-do-no-wrong son. The sacrifice of wife and young daughters on the altar of what Chris wanted was understood by his mother to perhaps not be unreasonable.
Yep, their 'statement' was in sharp contrast to Shan'ann's family's statements. No 'I hate what you did, Chris' just 'I hate what happened'....no ownership or true acknowledgment.
His parents are seriously sick in the head... if he loved those girls, he would never even have entertained what he ultimately did. If he loved them, he would have protected them.
