Coventry fan here, hope Chris can get the most out of Hamer. I think this is a good appointment, always good to get in a manager who has had time to recharge the batteries & learn from previous jobs.
Gutted for Hecky and co but what a job they've done. Just ran out of steam sadly and needed a refresh, and what a refresh. I never really got over the Wilder departure however I did understand it at the time. So happy to have him back. Best of luck to him and his staff and the same to Hecky who has been an absolutely classy and charismatic leader.⚔️⚔️⚔️

The best manager in my lifetime. I hope he's matured a little and doesn't play any public games with the owner considering he's been given this chance. My only issue with Wilder was we didn't tend to have a plan B and our game management was poor, but these are things that Hecky did improve on.
@@mrmagoo7524forget plan B, can you tell me what Heckys plan A was? I'm not being sarcastic, I've asked dozens of people and no one knows. At least with Wilder we'll have a clear plan A and the players will know what to do.

I'm pleased to see Chris Wilder back, but very sorry to see Hecky get sacked. I expect Chris Wilder to tighten up the defence, but the end result is still going to be relegation. Unfortunately the squad is just not good enough to stay up in the Premier League.

Whats the point? real sacking club didnt invest in the summer, down the bottom, doesnt look good, just face it blades are a yo-yo club its a shame, massive difference from championship to premier league, you have to gamble bankrupting your club to stay up!
So I'm at two minds of this. I really liked hekky I don't blame him at all I blame the Poundland prince. I believe we needed a change but not hekky. Now let's get to wilder. He abandoned us the last time we were here... And then he wanted 3 mil to leave.... And let's not forget 25 mil for bloody Brewster.... That's left a bitter taste in my mouth I won't lie.
Prince and wilder both have said previously wilder wasn’t responsible for transfers. That’s Bettis and he has consistently done a bad job on transfers yet never gets questioned.

I wasn't a fan of how he left last time, but I think it was time for a change and he'll get more out of the players than Hecky did and get the Lane raucous again. Good luck Chris.
Quite simple really, before making a decision you need to clarify and agree the job spec. Remember we're currently in limbo, restricted finances and as the club is up for sale then understandably there can't be any long term plan because thats for the new owner to decide. So we need someone cheap who was willing to take a short term contract with little financial security, that fact instantly rules out 95% of managers and we're left with the bargain bucket of desperate has beens with poor records. When you look at this low level of possible candidates then Wilder by far and away the best candidate. He can hit the ground running, knows the players, the staff and the club. He also has a fantastic record turning average players into a highly functioning team, it's when there's big expectation and pressure he seems to struggle. Everyone still expects us to be relegated, so no real pressure. Another point is Wilders career was almost over, this is his last chance at the big time, so he will be incredibly motivated to succeed and earn a contract extension. It all makes perfect sense for the short term and will be a big improvement compared to Hecky, but that's not saying much.
Bad appointment this just another one who will refuse to change tactics when its going wrong and lets be honest there be no money in jan whats he gonna do same as ph nothing !
Was you in the boardroom when the terms of dismissal were agreed? No. As there was a non-disclosure agreement put in place NONE of us know what was done. Also when dismissed the contract is paid up to relieve them of their duties. Let's get behind the team and whoever leads them instead of all the toxic negativity.

The blades going down no doubt about it being beaten 5 nil to Burnley who also came up doesn't look good as a hammers fan I don't want Sheffield United to go down on basis of tevez mascherano situation when west ham shud of got deducted points keeping Sheffield United up
Right now we are the worst team in the Premier League so we need to improve a lot, first base is to get some fight back in the team even when losing. Second base is to start winning some games, if that happens we then need to go on to beat a top ten club and then what would be an absolute miracle and most unlikely to happen would be to survive. As they say the table doesn’t lie.
@bartman01021988 When he left, we were a much better club than the one he inherited when he first came. Hopefully, lightning strikes twice. What's the worst that can happen, we break a few unwanted records, we get relegated, and Wilder gets the sack. All of which would probably still happen if Guardiola was managing us 🤣
@bartman01021988 2 promotions and a 9th finish in the Premier league. We didn't just look forward. We moved forward last time CW was in charge. If anyone deserves a 2nd shot, it's him.
@@Hyder.39 and then we moved backwards because of his lack of ability to switch up tactics. If he was the right man we wouldnt be where we are now because he wouldnt have had to leave. Simple fact is once we got to the prem he had zero clue what to do when it came to signings.
Suspect we'll now be losing 1-0 and 2-1 most weeks with occasional draws and the odd home win, instead of losing 4 and 5-0 every week. Still think we'll be relegated but we've seen Chris is capable of miracles, so we do have some hope now. Good luck.
I don't expect us to stay up, buy I expect some organisation and for us to go down fighting instead of just giving up as soon as the referee blows the whistle to start the match.
Assuming the owners and board give CW a chance, here’s a reasonable scenario. 1. Blades can’t turn this season round and will be relegated. 2. With the funds they receive from the demotion, CW is able to access some decent players. 3. They will be re-promoted the following season. It’s all more to do with the funds the club gas than CW’s skill, which we know is top drawer. Forget Middlesbrough and Watford, he now has a clean sheet. Come on Chris, the fans are with you!
