It was not murder but voluntary manslaughter which can still lead up to twenty years but it is strange that Stacey Slater is not doing a life sentence because what she did to Archie Mitchell was murder.
But didn't i hear her say she's got a "parole" hearing in a week's time? So i'm assuming she's got a indeterminate life sentence or has been granted a pardon or won an appeal.
I have to admit that Chrissie does have a point here. Sharon did get into the same situation in that same exact position as Chrissie was with Den 19 years ago… with Keanu at Christmas. So there is a parallel between Sharon and Chrissie just with different circumstances

I don't know if I love her or hate her. I started watching when she'd just left in 2005. Sharon has a spot in my heart but Chrissie is definitely a great addition. Hope it's not just a stint
For some reason the characters at the moment only seem to do short stints, look at the panasear family, they were still relatively new and they lost ash jags and kahreet and now nish is dying. They need long term family's like the fowlers and slaters

Tracy was brilliant such a great actress.Loved Crissie's reaction when Sharon said she forgave her.That meant Sharon is going to have rough 7 days in prison.The thought of Crissie being paroled and back in Walford is delightful !!
Two questions bugging me: How is Chrissie still able to wear her own clothes and have her hair blow dried like that in prison? Also, how come George's brother Kojo speaks with a London accent when he was brought up in Ghana?
You can wear your own clothes in British prisons probs not the ones she’s wearing there is a strict wardrobe but she’s clearly made to be controlling the prison and has pull over the screws and I have no clue about the brother tbh wish that story line would have ended with Eddie going to prison
Don't know about in the UK, but some prisons (at.least here in 🇺🇸) have beauty salons where inmates can train to get their cosmetology license, so it would be possible for an inmate to get practiced on. It sure would explain why Chrissie has Dolly Parton Circa 1977 hair. 😂 Awful.
Chrissie saying sorry to hear about Dennis. We all know he isn’t dead and will come back, just like his old man Den. Like father like son. I think the stabbing was a set up with Danny Moon, as well as a deal he made with police, after confessing to murdering Jack Dalton to keep Sharon and the baby safe from Johnny Allen in 2005. At least that’s how I think the story goes to bring Dennis back. Hope it happens. Amazing character.
At the time it looked that way. But if Eastenders want to bring him back, they could go on the premise that it was all a set up and hoax, and that Dennis did a deal to serve his time, in order to keep Sharon safe from Johnny. He murdered Jack Dalton so that’s a route they could take. He owed 20 years for Jacks murder. We never got to see him in a coffin. Of course Eastenders could bring him back. Danny Moon and Johnny Allen are now both dead. Nobody left to tell the story except for Dennis. Easily doable.
According to Wikipedia, Chrissie's not back for good. She's probably only back while Sharon's serving her seven days in prison. Don't know what's gonna happen to her though if she's meant to be getting her parole. EDIT: Though other sauces say she will be sticking around for good. So hard to say for sure at this point.

You do know you can get hairdryers and make up in British prisons there is hairdressers barbers nail salons they get fake tan sundry purchases are all cosmetic and health items
@@JackDee5 She looks and dresses at a whole other level than everyone else there. Even if she "ran the prison" there would be other prisoners targeting her, outside officials investigating, etc. No other woman in any UK prison story looks like that.
Great to have Chrissie back tho I do Hope we actually see her get released from prison and come back to the Square as there's plenty of potential for fun character interactions plus with Janine Gone the show has a void to fill for a scheming murderous vixen character.
Did Chrissie get involved with Den because he was Older? Alot of women in real life and on soaps real life it's like they were looking for a Father Figure. Jill Foster Abbott ( Y & R), and Brooke Logan Forrester (B & B), are prime examples. I didn't get Eastenders at the time. I live in Canada and we are about two months behind. I just saw the Episode where Alfie did the Kids Olympics. Sharon cried because she knew it hit too close to home.
How come sharon is dressed up like she's a real prisoner,then you got Chrissie all make up,hair done beautiful etc....oh and I didn't know you can smoke and have phones in the cells 😂😂
A prisoner who has been serving two decades in jail for murder wearing full make up, designer clothing, and jewellery is not a honest portrayal of someone in that position. EE really has fallen since it’s golden age, they have brought back overlooked characters like Chrissy and cindy, bringing back den watts stories but axe the best characters like Ronnie Mitchell, Paul Truman, Dennis watts Roxy Mitchell ect I Luke have rather they brought back Zoe even
If you go back and watch what went down between Den and Chrissie 19 years ago and come back to this recent Christmas episode of 2023 with Sharon and Keanu. And compare the two. You can see the similarities and differences of the same exact situation in that kind of what goes around, comes back around sense.. Den’s and Keanu’s patterns of attack are not exactly the same. Running towards someone and trying to bash their head into something and putting your hands around their neck and strangling them are way too different from each other to be the same thing
The one thing I keep thinking is how on earth is she allowed jewellery as well as her own choice of clothes while everyone else is in prison issue clothing. I get shes meant to be the "top dog" but im pretty sure she wouldn't be in jail with a full face of makeup, her own clothes and a bouncy blow dry..
It’s not confusing if u take into account that some prisoners don’t get money sent in you get money for canteens eg food that you pay for yourself pit noodles and crisps and chocolate and to tip money onto your phone if u don’t get that u can get into a lot of dept for vape oils and stuff because most prisons have a double back policy if I borrow four pound for a vape oil I owe 8 back so if I need 10 vape oils for a week it’s easy to get into dept
Why is everyone hyping Chrissy up? In general she wasn’t a great character on the show back then. The writers must be getting desperate. It’s also hard to believe she’s top dog in prison.
They axe Ronnie and Roxy also Paul Truman and bring back characters who were not renowned or had a imoact, Chrissy was generally good but how can they axe the best characters

These prison scenes get more and more rediculous , totally illogical and non representitave of prison life & rules.Insulting viewer's intelligence! A prisoner doing sentence for murder, would not be in own clothes, never mind wearing jewelry. Some one in for perjury, would not be in same section as serious crime prisoners. Long term viewer, switching off for now. Too irritating to watch.
