@@jaydel3 I tend to disagree. If I saw someone smoking or drinking in excess, it would be difficult not to notice; it's all about excess. We're not talking 20, 30, 50 or even 70 pounds over weight, we're talking hundreds. If someone smoked three to four paks of cigarettes per day, or drank a case or more beer per beer (or alcohol, wine, etc.,), I'd say that it's not healthy.

@@jaydel3People literally say something about drinking and smoking all the time. There are ad campaigns, government restrictions…the list goes on. Alcoholics and smokers are shamed and mocked all the time. She can barely breathe for goodness sakes.

Well when you point out health risks to people that are obese it's now considered fat shaming in today's WOKE society, and that's the real shame because never before have we witnessed so many children who are overweight and obese because all they want to do is stay in the house and stare at a screen all day and eat unhealthy food. I retired from the school system,.and the negative impact that social media had on children was breathtaking in many different ways including unhealthy weight, and you could see the transformation right before your eyes, and the fact that society is allowing the social media mob to control what people can say including real talk about the health risks of obesity especially amongst school age children is the stupidest and most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed. Obesity is actually being glorified in magazines, television,.and online. Ignore the WOKE mob and it would cease to exist almost immediately, but people won't because their addiction to social media is just as bad as the kids, and they wouldn't dare rock the boat on their beloved Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram and end up in the cross hairs of these people, but it goes so much deeper. The mob controls most major corporations and much of industry not to mention sport and entertainment, so it's a systemic problem, but again...it would upend tomorrow if people would show a little backbone.

She still overeats to the point of discomfort, shares 3 restaurant meals with her husband, and put about half of it back on.....in other words, it's not a magic pill. I've known at least 3 people who had the operation, thinking that it would be "forced self-discipline". And they all put it back on

I’m fat too and I agree. Fat people know we are fat. We know it’s not healthy, that’s just a fact (I’m easily 150lb overweight for my height so I’m in the unhealthy category too). I’m concerned for her in the same way I’m concerned for myself. I’m working on losing weight every day and the fluctuating can be rough at times. I agree with you, I’m concerned for her as well. @@LindaC616 so you think chrissy metz will live a long normal life at her current weight? That is completely illogical. Diet contributes a lot towards heart disease. Other factors like stress play a role. There are some very large people who are genetically able to sustain relatively normal bloodwork for a long time, but anyone that overweight will eventually die younger because of it if they don't make changes.

You have missed the message sir. The message isn't Fat is healthy. It's that you should be able to be happy at any weight and live your life. How can someone e that needs to lose weight cope if they are made to hide in a hole until they are perfectly healthy. Many people have ill else's they don't take care of until they are ready, it doesn't mean they don't live your life. If you see someone smoking do you immediately comment I hope they stop smoking and tell everyone about the health implications of smoking . If you see someone drinking an alcoholic drink do you immediately assume they are alcoholics and tell them you hope they are spreading awareness about liver disease. Obese people know the health concerns. They don't need to be reminded by 30000000 people a day commenting things they would never day to their face. Obese people are trying to find happiness in the world, we are still human and deserve to live our lives the best we can and make our own choices. Many people make dumb decisions every day. But they don't wear it like a scarlet letter obese people can't hide their illness, their addictions. We carry it around like a cross we bear. Obesity is painful, isolating..... we just want the right to live even if we make mistakes! And you can't tell someone's reasoning behind their weight maybe they sre an addict, maybe they had an injury that keeps them from being able to exercise as much as their body needs, maybe they just love food and don't pay attention, maybe they don't have the thing in them that tells them when their body has had enough, maybe they have lived through unspeakable trauma and earing helps them cope, maybe they are depressed. You just don't know. I am glad you were able to find a way to take care of yourself. Maybe you should be one to share your story and the reasons you made your choices. But I wish keyboard warriors wouldn't judge a book by its cover. I wish they wouldn't assume.

I completely agree. She's lovely but yes the weight is doing so much damage to her joints, heart, liver, lungs and it's long term damage. It is sad that....She continues to get bigger and bigger and in no way is this healthy or can it feel good to carry this much weight. She's carrying about 575 to 600 lbs. I just wish she loved herself enough to save herself. . No one is saying she has to be thin but at least by dropping 200 - that would help her so much. The body is not made to carry 575 to 600 on about 5'4" frame. Seriously I don't understand it - because clearly she has the money for nutritionist and trainers, but the bottom line...you have to want it and it's up to her, not us. There is no way she can ever hike or enjoy any physical activities or fun adventures that require movement - because there is not way her body could sustain any exercise.

Judging by your own photo you should take your own advice. Also who said she wasn't doing something about her weight. You don't know her so don't make assumptions. And shes never said she was apart of a movement where obesity is okay. Being body positive doesn't mean ppl are saying it's healthy to be over weight so check yourself sir.

I saw those weight loss articles a year or so ago. This is a recent video.

Not an old show. They dated it when saying they met in the beginning of the pandemic and now it’s been 3 years. This is recent.

I’ve seen those articles too and most of them are fake. They show pics of an actress who could very well pass as CM but thinner. Some ARE her, but clearly manipulated photos. They’re usually trying to sell diet garbage. 😖🙁

@@carochan86 some of it very well could be. For sure. People who lose lots of weight quickly usually have loose skin. It’s hard to hide skin like that. But to me (IMO AND IM FORMERLY FAT- well still kinda am but I’ve lost a lot lol) she looks heavier than I’ve ever seen her- and it doesn’t look like excess skin- it looks like rolls of fat. :( sadly.

That surgery, even if “successful” in weight loss also comes with the potential for significant health complications. Yep! It’s not perfect. You can’t eat much and become nutritionally deficient. I don’t know the answers but there is no miracle cure.

First, because doctors won't operate on you I have that size. Second, I know three people who got it. Guess what? After going through pain and discomfort and learning to live with pain and discomfort, all three of them gained a lot of the weight back. It is not a magic pill. It is not enforced self-discipline.
