Christ is before all things.
Christ has first place in all things.
All things were created in and through Christ.
All things were created for Christ.
In Christ all things hold together.
In Christ God has reconciled all things to himself.

Definitely THE BEST! I never tire of hearing that All Shall Be Well and variations on Dame Julian's Revelation 13 theme.Also Romans 8-28! Very thankful for your sermons!

Amen! I have heard many sermons that offer hope in Christ to those who have lost a loved one. Well...at least to Christians who have lost a Christian loved one. But this one offers hope to ANYONE who has lost ANY loved one, because "In Christ God has reconciled ALL THINGS to himself".

Great comfort for family @ the death of yer mom. (Not my experience w/my mom, hospice, & I hadda file an affidavit re her death cerificate). Like so many people, I am alone. S'one will hafta scrape my decomp off my floor.

So what happens if you have been praying for a mother for 30 years and she struggles to understand the Christian thing. She can’t see the gospel, and pray the “magic prayer” I’m terrified, and I have Autism and am 52 years of age.

Colossians 1 13-20 promises that Jesus will reconcile ALL THINGS to himself, not just all good Christians or all who have prayed a particular prayer. Other verses, granted, seem to suggest a faith/belief in Christ is required. If both are true, then the New Testament must be foretelling that everyone will ONE DAY make a willing faith response to Christ. As not everyone dies Christian, we can assume that commitment remains possible after death, which Christ conquered on the cross.
