Yeah it's always the same script that everyone of them uses. Like they have all been brainwashed into believing a twisted version of their own reality. These so called Christian channels make my blood boil...just a rant.

What do you say about the Christians in the Middle East and China then?

@@LatterDayPupChristians on the Middle East are more or less treated the way American Christians treat Muslims and “the other.” American Christians knock Sharia Law while attempting to enact their own version of religious law in America. Time for everyone to get their heads out of their butts and start seeing the world as it is and not through the lenses of old books.

If I'm not mistaken are those two states among with the worst public education systems.

The tower existed, ruins were found that were identified as the basis for the story, but that's all that was verified at all( unless you know something that shows the connection between the ruin and the story to be dubious or false). It certainly doesn't explain the multitude of languages we have today.

@@zemorph42 The Ziggurat at Babylon, a massive pyramid, still exists today, but it was in Ur, and was never called the Tower of Babel, but that's where the story came from, just like they borrowed Noah's flood from the Epic of Gilgamesh. Over time the stories were passed down orally and turned into what we have today.

Historians are also pretty sure that there was no "slaughter of the innocents", either. What I do believe, though, are the stories about a woman being turned into salt, an iron axe head swimming like a fish, the Sun standing still in the sky for a day, people living to be several centuries old, and a donkey talking. Re the first one, someone tried to tell me that the technology had been developed to turn people into salt. Presumably he knew this because they had used it to turn his brain into salt...

Before Sat Navs, I never had a problem asking for directions. I don't understand why so many other men can't do that. I was listening to some biblical professor on the radio and he said the reason why "40" crops up so often is that they didn't have a word for "many". How many days and nights did it rain? To be fair, it was the Wehrmacht and they had the belt buckles before the Nazis came into power. However, one had to be a theist to be a member of the Waffen-SS. And atheists ended up in concentration camps as well.

Because archeologists usually don't care about religion per se, so very few of them will take the time to come on social media (or other media) to correct the B.S. On the other hand, there are quite a few historians specifically studying every religion, who actively stand up against all these lies because they directly contradict their work.

PS: your pronunciation of "Gott mit uns" was pretty good. The "u" in "uns" should be a bit shorter. You pronounced it kind of like in "boot".

Witch hunts, German Peasants’ War, Extermination of Indigenous Peoples, The Atlantic Slave Trade, Hate crimes by the KKK, The Holocaust in Germany, Queer murders and of course there is All wars waged by the United States With the possible exception of Thomas Jefferson, all American presidents have identified as Christian and made profuse references to God. The country is often claimed to be intrinsically Christian. To consider wars instigated by the American government, then, religion is a factor.

As I have previously pointed out, being British, Richard Dawkins idea of "culturally christian" is very different from the US versions. He's talking about the country vicar at a tea party, the "being nice to people and helping the poor" kind of thing, not the "hate the gays and let's ban abortion and try to make this country into Gilead from "The Handmaid's Tale" kind of christian. Is there any "outside of time and space"? I doubt it. Existence itself is temporal-spatial and requires some kind of time-space coordinates to be understood to exist. Afaik "outside of time and space" means "outside of existence".

​@@zemorph42 Yeah, I definitely understand the skepticism when you put it into these logical terms. I love logic as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't place it as a constraint on a greater reality. Its obvious the name we call it does not matter, and nearly every description except for the simplest of it will be incomplete. So the question is, is there a power in the universe that is the source of this whole game/adventure/dream? To me, reason says, yes. Can I prove it with anything I say or any single thing I can point to? no. But as a whole, in my life, I have felt that I have a relationship with my creator even human words fail to explain it or describe it. And 100s and even 1000s of times, I have felt love and "wholenes" that I cannot describe. And I've countless stories of answered prayers. Maybe we are all units of one cosmic relationship between God and God's offspring ....lets call us Souls. And together, for whatever reason, we wanted a dream experience of a crazy ass rollercoaster ride that NO BODY survives, but every Soul escapes unscaved. Thats a simple cosmology to ponder. I'm not making it up, millions of people have felt it, and many know it as Maya, the great illusion. The physical universe is a technology that only a God could create but yet make it entirely unreal, to keep the creations safe.

​@@beofonemind let me shorten that down for you, Brain chemicals made you feel nice therefore God. As far as self-delusions go it doesn't sound very harmful. Just remember that those feelings you label as God are subjective to yourself. They don't have independence from you. Also those feelings aren't unique, Aleister Crowley documented "contacting" various gods as well. As have other spiritualists, they reported that the beings felt separate from themselves. However no two people ever independently contacted the same being and got the same message. That is every time those beings have been shown to be subjective to the person experiencing them.
