Great speed and balance, he’d hit the line at pace and could step off either foot without slowing down. In my opinion, the best running fullback to have ever played.

My favourite All Black Ever from Argentina!!!

I remember playing against him at college first XV level. We had the better team, and comfortably won the game, but he cut us to pieces on a few occasions. He became my favourite player to watch a few years later when he went on to become an All Black.

One of my favourite all black greats. Not sure why he couldn't get 100 caps or more. Like a hot knife through butter watching him running through teams!

As a former fullback myself, i can only dream of being half as good this guy, what a player, modest too, i've got a t-shirt with a photo of myself and JPR Williams on, what i'd give to have one with Christian Cullen on, as a Welsh person, i knw it's rugby blasphemy to not pick JPR, but my all-time favourite 15 is Mr. Cullen, he made rugby look so easy with his graceful running and sidestep, and a fine defender too... hats off to you Mr. Cullen...

That 2000 NPC finals has got to be the greatest NPC final ever. Remember watching that at home with all the church family after peses (choir practice) lol I remember we went in as underdogs down to Jade stadium back then in Christchurch, Canterbury were hot favs to win especially with home advantage. Will never forget Jonah and Marika down the sideline for that unforgettable piece of play, we were jumping and screaming when he scored! Lol. Those were the days 😢

Not to take the spotlight off my favorite back of all-time in CC, but you do realize that at 3:13 there is a combined 13 feet/3.9m and 500#/227kg of absolute rampage happening, unfolding into one of the THE most spectacular tries ever. EVER! That is straight up ying-yang of predator and prey. I dare you to find a better example of the breadth and depth of human speed AND power.
