Glad I could be of help and that you liked my review :) The spray techniques really make it or brake it with each fragrance... Some need a close to skin spray, others need a far away spray... others need even other techniques still...

I enjoyed your vision in pairing Dior Homme Parfum with casual/leisure wear. I agree that is perfect, and much better than their current image. Hi Dacob, not mentioning the review of this fragrance itself, I found particularly interesting what you said about the difference between spraying up close or from distance. I tried it with other fragrances, and sure enough - it's different! Thanks for that..

thank you for the most wonderful review till date. its really awesome...and the best probably from the dior homm line, but that pricetag is too much for a 75 ml, hurts bad, i was close to buying it, ended up getting valentino uomo intense, which was around the same price bracket but it gave me a full 100 ml bottle, this goes on for about 125usd in malaysia, no discounts even at duty frees, but i guess for the love of dhi , ill still get it, it performs really well on my skin, thank you once again :) have a nice day

i went to buy dior perfum ended up buying valentino intense also , but after thinking about it i went and bought dhp . very long lasting on my skin

I personally love this fragrance, but I think this should be used with caution. The other day I had it on tester cards in my bag and it smelt very very strong to the extent that I thought someone next to me is wearing this fragrance. I appreciate it not only for the scent but for the performance. It is impressive considering the original Homme and Homme intense were watered down. However, if this one got also reformulated, I would choose Dior Homme EDT reformulated over this one if reformulated.

I wanted something that would be more intense and sensual that the EDT. Thanks for the awesome explanation of how to enjoy wearing it. You've solidified my decision to purchase it.

You're welcome Eduardo :) Just be cautious with this one! I know form friends that on some skins it does tend to get a bit messy with all the ingredients. This "distant spraying" techinique I use helped me unveil the nice facettes of it... but I am aware that many people do not like it... so just be cautious when purchasing blindly... Great review. I am very fond of DHP and need to experiment with the spraying distance. I find that technique is crucial with some perfumes. For example, I find that if I spray YSL Kouros too close, it can be overwhelming and too animalic. However, if I spray it from about 18 inches away and then move into the mist, it is divine. I've been really enjoying your thoughtful reviews. Keep up the good work!

Great review Dacob!! I do love this parfum. I learned quickly that less is more with this scent. I didn't however put two in two together about the concentration until this video. I just assumed it was a eau de parfum. Now the richness and intensity of this scent makes so much sense. I think those who don't like this scent are heavy sprayers. If you spray to much and too close to the body it will suffocate you and others. After watching I had to try out your suggestion and sprayed from a distance and it's totally wearable for the day time now. I took it a step further and layered the reformulated Dior homme which I didn't really care for on my shirt. Just so I could get more of the powdery florals with the parfums rich leather and it's beautiful. Thanks again for doing this review because now I can enjoy this baby during the day!!

Thanks Damon! Yep, the distance spraying trick works wonders with this one! Also, if you check the bottom of the bottle of DIOR HOMME INTENSE, you will notice that in print it states "eau de parfum". So in concentration terms we would have the Dior HOMME cologne as least concentrated, then we step up one step with the DIor HOMME eau de toilette, then we get more intense with Dior HOMME INTENSE (which is an eau de parfum) and then the king or queen on top of them all is the Dior HOMME PARFUM. It doesn't go more powerful than that unless they don'T come out with a pure essential oil version, which would be so strong that I guess nobody would really enjoy it...

Dacob I just got in and took a look. Omg I don't know how I missed that it's printed on the front of the box too!! My Dior Intense is a reformulated version and it doesn't perform like a eau de parfum. Maybe that's why I thought i was a edt.

First of all, I have to say you look sooo very handsome! Really glad to see a review one of my all time favourite perfumes (although DHI (especially pre-reformulated) tops it for me, have been wearing it for many years, my go to when I don't know what exactly to put on, it never fails me) by you - always honest, always informative. Thank you so much Victoria! So sweet of you and I can imagine how amazing Dior Homme Intense smells on a lady's skin! Just delicious! The vanilla must be incredible on you! As for the suede drydown of the parfum: you are lucky since many people do not sense much of the leather in the composition. I sense it but mostly when I use the trick I mentioned in my review and I love the leathery dry note! Thats the biggest contrast to the Intense version but I love both anyway! :) Lots of love to you and Moscow! xoxo

Super Dacob Oh, well, I guess I am lucky then:) the rich vanilla in it oozes on my skin with a delicate leathery undertone, and your trick is really great, thank you! I wish Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather gave off its leather to me, all I get is a terribly sweet and insolent raspberry on a wooden mounting. And I want leather so much, but I guess it has to do with my skin chemistry (it is rather cold and dry) - even my beloved Cuir de Russie, sadly, turns into a delicate powdery close to the skin and very quiet scent reminiscent of the timeless Chanel 19 poudrée. Is it normal that leather in perfumes never sounds as leathery as I'd like it to on my skin? I console myself with wearing a leather jacket as a duet to all the tamed leather perfumes I have:)

O.K. so I got a tip for you! If you want an overdose of leather (but be warned since it smells like a barn filled with dirty sex!!!) try out Cartier's XIII'th hour! Its INSANE!!!! Overpowering leather... it fills me up so much that I almost cannot breathe!!! And for a lighter but still very determined leather I would try Cuir D'ange from the Hermes HERMESSENCE range! You will smell the leather all the way to the drydown in that one but still less than in Cartier... ;) have fun trying them out! xoxo

I was so fed up with Dior's reformulations and changes I stopped buying them. After my beloved Miss Dior cherie was discontinued and was changed 100 times I gave up. Then I wore Dior addict eau fraiche that also changed . ARGGGGGHHHH! Can't they stop !

I think people whose brains are really engaged by scent enjoy challenging perfumes. I think their brains enjoy the puzzle. Some people just want something easy to wear that doesn't make them think too hard. Fragrance and its effects on people is fascinating to me.

Thank you for this splendid review. I tried Dior Pour Homme ages ago and I liked it, but I did not buy it at the time. Then I tried it again and I didn't like it but last time I tried it (this is so convoluted!) I loved it to pieces! So I am now wondering if the see saw was not so much scent-flightiness on my part, but simply that I had tried different versions. I must try it again soon!

Loved your comparison between spraying distance and notes accentuated. What distance of the sprayer from the skin is should be used for daily fragrance wearing? Should EDT, EDP, and Parfums be sprayed from different distances to distribute the fragrance on the skin? Which pulse points provide the best wearing experience without going noseblind? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Super interesting breakdown on the DHP! Now i notice you mention it goes around $90-$100 on where you lived right ? So here it goes for whooping $150-$200! It's so much harder to get than 95% of the niche house outhere... is it worth to grab one with that price dacob? While i could get an amouage with less and also a roja with the same price

I heard a lot of talk about Dior Homme silver stem/tube being the best version, let'see if i can snatch one with a good price, but for now I'll listen to you and the multiple people that tells me to skip DHP with that kind of pricing 🤣.... DHP has become a "bro" scent all of the sudden with all the hype that it gets from mainly sebastian who considered it to be the best "designer" perfume ever... then, everyone in my local community became a DHP-suckers which leads to them charging double of what DHI cost 🙄 Fragrance connoisseurs like you and others certainly favor the Original olivier polge creation... well it's from polge! But all in all i just hate the unnecessary hype on dior homme parfum, especially from the guys here who liked it BECAUSE they heard it's the best thing ever and they mindlessly think the same, without ever smelling the beauty of antaeus or egoiste Sorry for the rant dacob 🤣😂

I tend to swing from Homme to Fahrenheit... at times I prefer one and at times I prefer the other... right now I prefer Fahrenheit parfum.

Yes, I have read this too but no clue if the rumors are true or if it already has been reformulated... I will need to smell it in a store again and compare ot the one I have... The one i have (2016) might already be a reformulation since DIOR HOMME PARFUM came out in 2014 the first time... I guess one can only be sure to have the first version when one buys the fragrance as soon as it comes out...

Got my bottle yesterday. I had just closed the door, leaving for work when the mailman walked up to me with the package. It was a little after 7:30 am and I said I didn't know they delivered that early. He said they were trying to be ahead of the thieves who take packages from peoples' front doors! I said I had never lost a package left at my door. Must be my luck to be on my kind of neighborhood. Anyway, I took the package to work but didn't open it till I got back home. I tried it on the back of my hand and... I couldn't stop sniffing it for the longest time! Wearing this for Christmas Eve dinner. Thanks again for the review!

Dior Homme Parfum has more projection and longevity. There is more cool leather in Farenheit and more hot leather in Dior Homme.

Super Dacob Oh Man ! You are gonna make me regret my decision of buying the Dior Fahrenheit Parfum. 😌 you know even my instinct betrayed me the first time I smelled Dior Homme Parfum it did not stay on my skin and the second time Man ! It blowed the hell out of me ! It was way...way...too powerful ! Ah Man ! My instincts betrayed me !! And made me buy a wrong product ! and the shop I bought it from wont let me exchange now it has been more than a month now I purchased still haven't opened the box, didn't have the occasion !

Few if any products are actually priced based on the cost of ingredients or materials. Cars, handbags, perfumes, whatever. The entire notion of "brand" is about commanding premium pricing. There is nothing inherently unfair about higher pricing. The potential buyer can simply not buy.

There is something unfair about it: the lies brand marketing produce about how expensive and difficult and complex it is to make these fragrances when some of us know it is not true. Without the lies the poeple would have more choice to decide. There is no transparency here and that is inherently unfair.

yeah i'm glad that intense i have is a decant 30 ml , i dont wear it , its like one of the few that has ever gave me a headache

just bought DHP batch 2018...my juice is much brighter and i have just iris, iris and iris, 0 oud, 0 leather, 0 wood just pure iris... on top to the end. BE CAREFUL for the new batches

It hasn't been reformulated. Try again and ask other people what they can smell. Don't be afraid, it is the same perfume.

Work... a lot of work, a lot of overtime work and then some more work again... and then the best is duty free... I purchase whenever I fly... its cheaper that way.. Now, having said all this, I have decided to stop purchasing new luxury goods in 2017. Its my challenge for myself. I do not like what the fashion industry is doing to the quality of products! They keep going down with quality control and keep going up with prices! I do not endorse that any longer! So as of 2017 I will only be purchaisng vintage and second hand and that includes fragrances. Its a revolution for me and I hope more people join because the more we are and the quicker things will change for the better!
