Max was much faster in sector 1 in the S’s. The DRS zone was immediately after, which meant it was very difficult for Lando to get collapse enough going into the DRS zone to attempt an overtakes
@@oliverhunt9362 thanks. Still a little surprising considering the grip Lando had with Max’s tire degradation. There were also 2 DRS zones, although one was shortened.
How long have you been watching F1? Are you forgetting the years of Redbull crying and putting out slander against Mercedes. The amount of times Redbull snuck around the Mercedes cars to try and find faults with it in 2016-2021, they used to constantly report stuff that wasn't even against the rules to the stewards every race and nothing would ever come of it. Either you have long term memory loss or you're a new f1 viewer.
Yeah sure. I don't remember him telling max to give the place back in austria when in 1 of the instances max went off track and gained an advantage despite him being behind at the apex whereas the very next lap when lando went off he gave the place back
@ThesocialmuteHD i hate to break it to you , but there is different rules for lap 1 and you aren't a very experienced fan seeing as you don't know that
@@A2906-o8q There is no different set of rules. You tryna sound like an f1 gatekeeper, but you're just dead wrong. Lap 1 allows stewards to be more lenient on enforcing the rules, the rules are still the same and the stewards can choose to enforce them as much as they would in the rest of the race if they want.
Horner said EXACTLY what I said, give the position back straight away because Lando had the speed and could of caught Max the next lap... Dumb as McLaren Team bosses...
@@Switll72 Max would never have been ahead if he didn't go off track. Max only got his nose in front because he didn't brake and completely and purposely overshot the corner, knowing he would end up off track. It's a very slippery slope to go down if we start allowing bumper car slingshots, people purposely driving into a corner faster than they are capable of taking it, and forcing the car next to them off track 'because the rules allow you to keep that place'. I don't think actual F1 fans want to see somebody fly down a straight and into a corner knowing they can't take the corner and will need to force themselves and opponent off the track in a dangerous manner, and the fact the rules protect this driving is absurd.
No he wouldn't. Horner whines when anyone criticizes his drivers but is the first to the pile-on when its someone else. He has all the integrity of a rodent.
@@lordvader-jn3gz sure he isn’t, not yet at least, but McLaren didn’t help him today at all. Stupid, beginner decision. They’ve been like that the entire year.
So let me get this straight? Some guys got a penalty for forcing other guys off the track and some guys got a penalty after being forced off the track by another guy who didn't get a penalty for forcing another guy off the track. Completely arbitrary horsesh*t! WHAT A JOKE!!
And why should we care what "Cheating on my wife" Horner has to say? Any talentless idiot can drive into a corner knowing there is no way they could make the corner without contact or going off track ... that's called making an ADVANTAGE. So tell me, when Max Vercrappen went way off track trying to hold of Sainz earlier in the race, he was penalized? No comment, nothing to say, just pretend it didn't happen?
@@BwoahKimi-g3l I'm crying from laughing at Flax Vercrappen and Horn blower ... fighting for what 3rd loser spot 12 seconds behind the winner? Yeah, I'm crying from laughing so hard.
Doesn’t matter if he is fighting for tenth position. As long as lando finishes behind him you muppet. You don’t understand formula 1 clearly. And this is racing. Some corners the overtaking rules work, others like hairpins at t1 and t12 at cota don’t. Either way lando had a car doing a second a lap faster, and couldn’t get the job done…..
@@Chyeahokay 14 years of real world racing, and you? It’s talentless … anyone can dive bomb a turn to takeout the competition or force them off the track … and you can bet Vercrappen cares he’s over 12 seconds back from the winner and once once Lando passed him lost 4 seconds in 4 laps … without RB illegal braking system Vercrappen can’t manage race pace tire wear … again talentless
if Norris was confident he could pass Max, he shouldn’t have had a second thought about giving the place back. can someone let him know that the racing is to be done on the track please ? that’s what it was built for.
Sorry man but mclaren did a bad job.. the entire year actually. Lando is not a world champion material, not yet at least. He lost every pole position on the first corner, every time he started on pole. I like the guy, and I think he's pretty fast on quali lap, but he's not Hamilton or Verstappen when it comes to racing. If the next season is closer, meaning there will be 3-4 title contenders, he stand no chance.
@@SE-dn7xl Doesn't take talent to brake late and take himself and another driver OFF track. Have your head examined. So when Max went flying off the track to retain his position on Sainz earlier in the race what was somehow ok? Double standard hypocrite.
Mediocre driver in a car worth 40 million more then any other on the grid and 7 years of unchanged rules. Realllly impressive. Dude is a sheep, no goat.
