Just read 1 Corinthians 15 and you will find your answer to what the Gospel is. Anyone that preaches another Gospel is to shunned and rejected. The apostle Paul was extremely clear about what the Gospel is.
Interesting question. I don’t think so. It seems to me to be the distinction between historical theology and biblical exegesis. In the Biblical narrative, specifically the gospels, and in the history of redemption Jesus is unveiled as the coronated King. Hence his ascension, etc. However, in theology one learns about the Trinity. Jesus is begotten of the Father Co-Eternal and Co-Equal. So, in an oversimplified explanation, Jesus is revealed to be the King in the time, space, and history through the synoptic gospel accounts. However, is can be intuited from systematic theology rooted in the Bible that God is Triune. Therefore, in a sense, Jesus has always been the King.
