Prerequisite of understanding about reincarnation is to understand "Who AM I". we always use sentences such as "My hand.", "My eyes", "My legs", etc which indicates that the hand is not me, the eye is not me, the leg is also not me so who am I. Once we understand the word 'I", concept of reincarnation will make sense.

@@jecolibri1803 I appreciate your question. So I am a Māori the indigenous people of Aotearoa commonly referred to as New Zealand. We are a Polynesian people. Māori tradition holds that all of existence is sustained by the supreme being whom we call Io Matua Kore. Io is a distant detached deity that we have nothing to do with though naturally respect. We don't however incorporate worship of her or whatever into our daily lives. Beneath Io is the sky father Ranginui & the earth mother Papatūānuku. We respect both of these dieties though we don't worship them. The primordial parents had 70 sons all of whom control different elements such as the sea, the forest, etc. Although we respect all of them minus Whiro (the god of death & disease) we worship none of them except for 2 of them. The war god Tūmatauenga (who is the protector of the Māori people) & the peace god Rongomatane. The Māori people are divided into waka (tribal federations), iwi (tribes), hapu (clans), & whanau (extended family units of 3 generations). Every waka (tribal federation), iwi (tribe), hapu (clan), & in the case of nobility whanau (extended family unit) has one or more gods or goddesses that they worship. The traditional religion of the Māori people is called Māoritanga & we do not want converts. In fact one can't convert. One has to be born into it. Over half of all Māori still adhere to Māoritanga however unfortunately many have gone for other religions. Christianity in particular is one such religion. I worship the goddess of my family, the god of my clan, the god of my tribe, the god of my tribal federation & of course the war god Tūmatauenga & the peace god Rongomatane. Again we don't want converts. We have no interest in forcing or persuading others to worship as we do. I personally want ALL Māori that have fallen astray to return home.

Listening to the Hindu guy: 1. If learning to attain perfection is the reason for reincarnation, then should it not be the case that most - if not all - people ought to have past life experiences and have access to past learnings/memories? Otherwise it'd be like starting from scratch again. 2. He says reincarnation makes better sense than purgatory, but I disagree: Purgatory is a post-mortem purification of venial imperfections, but this life is the one in which we make the choice for or against God, and at death this decision is no longer changeable. Purgatory is simply a temporary state of purification for those whose "yes" to God was given in a less than optimal manner. Reincarnation is what would make me wonder why we have this life, because - as per point 1 - the least have some conscious recollection of "past lessons" from "previous lives", and when you start a new life you can reverse the previous direction you were on in, possibly making you end up worse than before. So, the idea that somehow multiple lives is more "merciful" does not really make sense to me. If anything, it seems to cheapen every life.

According to the Bhagavad Gita it is the combination of unfulfilled desires/Karma that keep living entities coming back for more(like smokers wanting another Cigarette? 🤔😆). And as Krishna explains to Arjuna(not the guy in the Debate 🙂)the living entity is naturally limited/forgetful while inside the physical body, which is just a temporary vehicle/dress/tool for the Jiva(living Entity)to experience the material world/do stuff(like sex/food/sports etc). Once it is out of the body, it is free from its physical/mental restraints. But it still has desires it wants to fulfill, which lead to reincarnation and inevitable impermanent enjoyment/suffering. That's why Krishna advises Arjuna to surrender to him/follow his teachings to escape the cycle of rebirth.

Think about it this way, the Hindus claim that you have a physical gross body(Sthula Sharira), a subtle body(Sukhshma Sharira)to move around with once the soul leaves the body and the Causal Body(Karana Sharira)where the reactions to your Karma are stored and which causes the living Entity to reincarnate due to previous actions and desires. I can't say anything about the Causal Body, but we definitely have a gross(physical)body. And many accident victims tell of being able to float outside their bodies in the Hospital and being able to listen to the conversations of the medical Staff, even away from their location, lets say in the Break Room or outside of the Hospital. And to be able to see even if blind when inside the physical body.

@@jecolibri1803 inclusivism says that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that what he did on the cross is more widespread then what exclusivists believe . Inclusivism says that Jesus died for our sins but under inclusivism you can only be judged by knowingly denying Jesus as lord and savior, not for what you unknowingly deny . If you were born in a Muslim country and never had a chance to know Jesus , how can you be judged for what it innocently don’t know . Justin martyr one of the first Christian apologists called the pagan atheists of his time that performed acts of goodness and godliness towards others unconscious Christian’s or friends of Christ . There are many Christian’s that believe in Christ but believe in him because they were born into the faith . And then there are some like me who were born into it , questioned it and became atheists and then delved deeper and came back to Christianity again . Most people in this day and age work too many hours and are so busy that they simply don’t have the time to look through the evidences . In fact most of my fellow Christian’s don’t even know the evidence for Christ . CS lewis was a Christian inclusivist , William lane craig was also an inclusivist and pastor billy graham was an inclusivist . Graham’s inclusivism was so strong that he said that certain atheists can also make it to heaven . Here are some good quotes . wesleyanarminian.wordpress.com/2011/04/27/respected-inclusivist-theologians/ Justin Martyr, 103-165: “We have been taught that Christ is the first-born of God, and we have declared above that He is the Word of whom every race of men were partakers; and those who lived reasonably are Christians, even though they have been thought atheists; as, among the Greeks, Socrates and Heraclitus, and men like them; and among the barbarians, Abraham, and Ananias, and Azarias, and Misael, and Elias, and many others…” (The First Apology 46) Billy Graham, Evangelist, 1918- “I think that everybody that loves Christ knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the body of Christ… Whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts they need something that they don’t have and they turn to the only light they have and I think they’re saved and they’re going to be with us in heaven.”(Billy Graham, Interview with Robert Schuller) William Lane Craig, Apologist, 1949- ” But the Bible says that the unreached will be judged on a quite different basis than those who have heard the gospel. God will judge the unreached on the basis of their response to His self-revelation in nature and conscience. The Bible says that from the created order alone, all persons can know that a Creator God exists and that God has implanted His moral law in the hearts of all persons so that they are held morally accountable to God (Rom. 1.20; 2.14-15). The Bible promises salvation to anyone who responds affirmatively to this self-revelation of God (Rom. 2.7)..” (Craig, Can a Loving God Send People to Hell?) C.S. Lewis, Apologist, 1898-1963: “…But the truth is God has not told us what His arrangements about the other [unreached] people are. I honestly hope reincarnation isn’t true. If it is true, I hope I’m reborn into a family that homeschools. The idea of having to go through the public school system again terrifies me. Even though I won’t remember it, the fact that my senses will be subject to it is not a very comforting notion. Concerning the part about reincarnation making theological sense, I honestly think it would be more cruel for God to subject believers in Christ to reincarnation. The notion of having to experience death and loss over and over again is not a comforting one. And for those who remember their past life, it will be even worse. The goal of God is not to make us perfect human beings through trial and error; it is to bring us into a relationship with him.

If you think God wouldn't be so cruel to have us reincarnate, then wouldn't the same question apply to having us take one birth? What if reincarnation makes it so more people are saved? Couldn't some people who rejected God in this life accept him in a future life?
@batman5224
@batman5224 Год назад
@@TheologyUnleashed That question would only apply to non-saved people. To me, it wouldn’t make sense to reincarnate people who are already saved. Such a notion relies on the assumption that people are only products of their environment, but if human beings have free will, then such rebellion would carry over to other lives. This also relies on the notion that God wants us to be perfect beings through trial and error, but grace is a gift offered by God, not a right. The goal of Christianity is to know Christ, not to be perfect. Scripture is also clear that a man dies once, and then the judgement.

I make the following points in the use of the word reincarnation from a Judeo-Christian perspective. Reincarnation did not find its way into the English vocabulary until around 1830. Karma appeared later. Both have eastern interpretations and understandings. Obviously these words do not appear in the Bible. However rebirth or regeneration do appear in the bible as the Greek word palingenesis. Reincarnation and karma should only be referenced to eastern beliefs not Christian. While the meanings may be similar and are used in place of rebirth or the phrase ‘you reap what you sow’, they are not the same. To use the terms ‘reincarnation’ and ‘karma’ we should define the meanings before a discussion takes place.

Reincarnation is a doctrine straight from Hell. And if you think about it, if it were true it would be a Hell itself. Thank God it isn't. Jesus is the Truth, the Way, and the Life. Amen.

To the Christains, Judaism and 2000 year old religion. There is many documentary on REINCARNATION. But to the religions of Hindus, Bhuddist, Sikhs, Jains, Taoisim originated 5000 years ago, knows very well about the creation of universe to multiverse since ancient times. Do western people know that LORD BRAHMA's age is 113 trillion years in contrast to human years ?? QUESTION TO THE WESTERN PEOPLE IN COMMENTS : If you people don't believe in REINCARNATION, then why do you meet only certain people in life who affects you physically, mentally, socially ?? That's a Karma though. Besides, Hindusism accepts any forms of God. But Can Christianity accept other forms of God without fearing about going to Hell ?? 😂😂

The reincarnation case represented by the other guy was week he seems confused and lost an intellectual person would see the research papers before coming to conclusion where as research says there are 1000’s of documented reincarnation cases and every neurologist and para psychologist would certainly leaves the possibility of reincarnation to a great extent . Most of NDE shows the experiences where people refer to be reincarnated and remembered their past lives

The experiences of past lives arise in the present moment just like all the others. When you die you dissolve you dissolve into formless energy. There is no more "you' - the individual..

You have to remember to take everything with a grain of salt. For example: 1. In the Bible, God allows the Hebrews to buy/use/inherit/keep for a lifetime non Hebrew slaves while not allowing that for his "chosen" people. Also he permits genocide of non Hebrews to get their land. Which Jesus didn't refute , on the contrary, he said that not a jot or tittle of the(Hebrew/Jewish)law shall pass away. 2. The Hindus have a caste system where higher castes dominate lower ones(or at least the Brahmins/Kshatriyas dominate/tax the Vaishiyas who do trading and farming and these 3 castes in turn dump on the Shudras and treat them as dirty slaves). 3. Then you have Islam which authorizes slavery/forced conversion/taxation of non Muslims(Jiziyah)and terrorism(Muhammad himself said he is made victorious through terror). So all religions are a combination of genuine spirituality and man made BS.

God allowed "Genocide of non-hebrews who were willingly sacrificing their children in fire to Baal.". That would not end there, you should search for canaanite worship of baal and sacrifices you would get to know the whole truth of the matter. It was God's judgement on them. If their children ever grew up they were following the same patterns all over again. So yes, in a nutshell, it was righteous of him to wipe them out. A life is a life valued when it is looked upon as a person made in the image of God, not in the image of Satan.

Plus - All religions are not the same. Hinduism as portrayed in general is much more vulgar and filthy in the scriptures. You won't get to read it unless you really want it to. I'm from India, born a Hindu, but willingly chose to follow Christ. I've had fair share of in depth knowledge of both scriptures and can assure you there is no one holy as Christ. The God of the Bible is ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

@@buntasticbuns769 in a roundabout way that is what Hitler and the Nazis thought about Jews. Jews were evil and had to be destroyed and their Property given to the good Aryan People. Plus it makes perfect sense to kill all male toddlers/small children of another tribe(but hypocritically keep small female children/virgins alive for your own use) because some adults in that tribe sacrifice children. And I guess the Milk and Honey land grab had absolutely nothing to do with it? Sometimes you wonder how People are able to justify gross misconduct in the name of Religion.
