Yelich is carrying the Brewers lineup right now. Glad to see him starting to gain back confidence. It's not often we see a player of his caliber, former MVP then runner up, basically fall off a cliff for multiple seasons right after. Hopefully he continues his impressive play. Still needs to get his home run numbers up a bit, then he'll truly be back.
He's heating up when we need him most. Most of the rest of the team is pretty useless at the plate. Also, crazy to see Yelich and Belinger being the stars of a series after they both fell off the cliff.
I think part of it is mentality. Ever since they moved him to lead off, he stopped trying to pull the ball and started just trying to shoot the ball the other way and be a good lead off hitter as opposed to hitting home runs
in 19 he hit a foul ball off his own patella and fractured it, i think the right leg, hasnt been the same since. the toe tap is probably more comfortable for him now. he's finally figured it out
