Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address was monumental because it said so much with so few words, but your short comment beat Mr. Lincoln’s altogether. Firstly, I was asking for “explanations” not offering any. “Please explain” puts the responder in the position of explaining, not the questioner. “Space doesn’t have to be infinite, in fact ‘we’ don’t think it is.”??? Who are “we”? Are there more of you? Are you a member of the Flat Earth Society? “Space doesn’t HAVE to be infinite and time doesn’t HAVE to be eternal”, but they are. Providence has given us the ability to “conceive” of these concepts but because the human intellect is finite, it cannot “comprehend” them. From the beginning, man has been trying to grasp the eternal and the infinite but they’re beyond mortal reach. Curved space and an expanding universe are finite quantities that do not address the infinite. What is beyond the curve? What is space expanding into? Space isn’t confined to observable matter alone. The “reason these concepts need to be explained” is for the advancement of the human species which, by your response, has given me serious doubts as to the state of mankind’s ability to advance at all. Your entire response was quite nescient but given your limited perspicacity, you default to nastiness and not intellectual discourse. Addressing your jaw-dropping assertions would be a challenge akin to explaining advanced calculus to a puppy so any attempt would be futile. Space, probably isn’t, all evidence points to it being finite. Time we don’t know. You are not capable of demonstrating otherwise. The curvature of spacetime and the expansion of the universe don’t try to address the infinite, they don’t have to, they were never supposed to, they’re just qualities we’ve observed. There’s nothing “beyond the curve”, that’s not a phrase that even makes any sense. The universe needn’t be expanding into anything. How would answering your questions advance anything? The infinite and eternal aren’t really very difficult concepts to understand in an of themselves. “The infinite and eternal where space has no end and time no beginning” needn’t be explained because it’s just meaningless technobabble, space likely does have an end and time may well have a beginning. No one would bother defending that because it’s no one’s position that those things must be the case.
Yes God gives grace…. However if we are to accept it, we must repent, change our ways and be in friendship with God, but by continuing to sin, when he asks us to “sin no more” we in essence reject the grace he gives us and begin to invoke the “just judge” instead of the “merciful father”..

If somebody from a much different religous backround said something similar to that, would you join their religion? I mean its TRUE for them right? Or do only you have all the answers?
The most vocal people claiming to have all the answers, are often the most uneducated and unintelligent. You sir, should be embarrassed to assume you are in possession of the knowledge of the "One truth" however that embarrassment should pale in comparison to how ignorant you are to believe you are so far above everybody else in this "Amen" Circle jerk of a comment section. Otherwise, maybe you should reconsider your stance on truths, for as long as you yourself continue to live in a delusion of ultimate truth within your realty, Your truth and my truth will continue to exist; Forever, until the ignorant and uneducated learn to be humble about what they do and do not know. Or you can continue to live a lie where you have all the answers. Its what you've been brainwashed to believe after-all.
Honestly as someone who’s an atheist - if I was too look at joining a religion (and I’m not saying this to be antagonistic, I’m just giving my gut feeling in response to watching this short) it turns me more too other religions as, I mean firstly he doesn’t actually give evidence (but that might just be due it being a short and not having enough time to show it here) on these other religions saying such. Also it turns me more to them because they talk about being rewarded for their religious acts and attitudes where as Christianity he seems ti make it sound like we’re never going to be enough alone and we’re going to need Jesus to save us, who’s not appeared in 2000 years so why should I wait for him if he’s not going to reward me for me being a good and faithful Christian
@@marcus5977 No. I'm sorry. I just get caught up in the fight. I take back what I said. I don't know you, I just said that out of frustration. It is easy to get mad and imagine the minds of others, but I know that we all come to understand the world and the universe differently. I'm sure you have a good heart and I don't mean to make an enemy out of anyone. I don't believe the Bible is divinely inspired, but the message of loving your neighbor and approaching people with kindness is a great moral framework. I am sorry I did not live up to that idea and attacked you with my words. That wasn't right, and I apologize.
It’s not about being enough alone. It’s about being sinful and Christ covering our sin. So who we are alone is not good and we do need a savior to cover that. Also, the idea of waiting for Jesus to reward you for being a Christian is not right. Jesus is the reward. He is the reward. Heaven is the reward. Even still, you would be rewarded in Heaven. You would be rewarded for the fruit that you grew on earth. The people you bring to Christ. Things like that.
Yeah indeed, just shows how fucked up Christians are where you have to be told by some imaginary dude that doing good deeds is good and you literally couldn't come up with that thought by yourself. Other people came to that realization WITHOUT religion and don't have an excuse of "oh well I wasn't ordered to by my god" if they don't do it. Unlike you guys, we take responsibility and accountability, not by bifurcating it to some imaginary guy in some imaginary place "in the sky" and you do good because he tells you to.
Utter nonsense. "We have a saviour and suck his cock and access to eternal bliss is granted". Christianity is just as nonsensical as all the other religions. Nothing special about it.
Ephesians 2: 8-9 For its by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is of God not by works, so that no one can boast.
Christ be with you None of what he says removes the need to do good works if we want eternal life. (Gal 6:7-9) It only means we need to have our righteousness washed in Christ’s blood. (1 John 1:7) Holy Spirit guide
Because God is Holy. Set apart. He is the creator of EVERYTHING. When you start to think about how amazing He is, you realize how sinful we are. But He is also love. He loves us (His own creation) enough, He provided away for us to still be with Him for ETERNITY. All we have to do is BELIEVE in Jesus, who was the only one who never sinned (being a worthy) sacrifice to pay our debt which is the price of sin.
@@edgeofreason2710 Yeah, religions are so blatantly obviously man-made I have little to no concerns there, buddy. But even so, if I should so should you. How would you know your religion is the right one, if any single one was correct..
The Torah doesn't explicitly say anywhere an idea supporting that "our good deeds are like rags". To the contrary, in Genesis 4:6 God tells Cain quite the opposite, "Is it not so that if you improve, it will be forgiven you? If you do not improve, however, at the entrance, sin is lying, and to you is its longing, _but you can rule over it."_ What God is telling Cain is that he can improve his actions, i.e. his works, such that they reach a level acceptable to God.
as a Buddhism, we do good things for others not just for good karma but also to help other people, i don't know much about Christianity but if they do sin and then don't do any good deeds after you will be sure to casted into hell, Jesus died for the sinful but it does not mean you won't go to hell. if you don't try to do any good deeds then it means you are not even trying to wash away the sins and always rely on god to send you to heaven.
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌۭ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌۭ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَلَـٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُور {٤٦} Have they not travelled throughout the land so their hearts may reason, and their ears may listen? Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind Surah 22, Ayat 46
"You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only."
I always wondered how God could save murdered and insert awful crime here but then you realize he loves us so so much that even our good deeds aren't good enough not because we're peasants but because it comes from sin stained hands and he loves us so much he cleans us of our sins God thank you for your son and our brother Jesus I hope everyone has a blessed day
Wise as serpents gentle as doves. "Thou shalt not murder" - Does not rule out defense or protecting against evil. It does rule out the planning and killing of any individual who they don't like for only that reason.
In the bible God was pleased with multiple so called "sinners". Abraham pleased God, Moses also, and David was even a man after God's own heart.. yet all were "sinners."
