This was a wonderful message. I understood what he meant when he said look to Christ first. There is honesty and bravery in exposing yourself as someone who recognizes you are flawed but it's our job to build each other up not tear each other down. Love it. Even a bit of a conviction came into me in what can I do to be better.

How to be truthful to your Christian principles without being judgmental?
@learntodiscernministry

This is a very skewed and distorted presentation about what the Bible says on the topic of judging. We are called to make righteous judgments about those in the church. It should be done gently and lovingly, in hopes that the person will repent, but it needs to be done nonetheless. The part of the message that I found most interesting/disturbing is when he said that the people who are judgmental are often "weak". He said that when you see that person, you need to tell them that they are weak. That is very contradictory to what he had been saying. He said, "Don't worry about others...worry about yourself." But now, if you see someone who is weak, go tell them that they are weak? This sort of teaching leads to a lot of confusion and doesn't help people to have a balanced approach to how we should confront sin in the lives of others.

What about Christians who have severe mental and emotional illness, like me? People think I am not saved because I struggle with many things yet they do not know me personally or my heart. A person's fruit is not always perfect, or even good, we all sin every day. I think we need to rethink our interpretation of fruit. Shall we say a person born a crack baby who is dependent on drugs is not saved? Or a person with Tourette syndrome who shouts profanity as a result of their illness? Or a Christian who has a hypersexual disorder, or brain abnormalities that cause fits of rage? So they are all not saved cause their fruit is bad? I don't think Jesus meant this. I think the church has taught this, yet not all of Christianity teaches this. We must go back to the first century to understand what words Jesus used and what they meant.

Just sharing out of love, but judgement is fine as long as it’s done to help one another with whatever sin we are battling. If we are not told it’s wrong in a loving way, we will continue in it and eventually lose our grace with the Most High. Contrary to popular belief, there is no once saved always saved.The Messiah even said we can judge righteously. I’ll leave the scriptures below. Be blessed ! John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” 1 Corinthians 6:12 Do you not now that the saints will judge the world. Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom; develop good judgement. Not helping our brothers or sisters that are in sin allows them to think that they are in good standing with the Most High when in actuality their souls are in danger of hell. We can’t be lukewarm. 1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites. And such were some of you (turn away from the sin). But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (Yah) Galatians 5: 19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Revalation 3:16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

This is PURE GOLD. It literally drives me nuts that there are so many Christian "influencers" today that do nothing but videos judging other Christians with glee and think God is okay with this. Most of the Christians who judge do nothing for the kingdom of God and are ashamed to even say Jesus in a crowd. It literally wrecks me who Christians in comments make fun of other Christians yet never judge themselves.

I believe there needs to be a common ground and balance with us Christians. You can bring others to the truth at the same time may your encounter with that person be "fruitful" or else it's vain. And not profitable for you or the other person. Christ came as the great physician a doctor doesn't go around looking at a bunch of sick people and say they have this disease they have that and not have some kind of compassion, help, care, or ways to get better don't just convict someone to make you feel better that's selfish. May we judge ourselves notice things in other plant the seed May God water it and we watch it grow. 🤍

Why do we judge others? Because "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences." - 2 Corinthians 5:11 (KJV) Also, I find it funny that you stopped at the 12th verse of Romans 14 and did not look at verse 13: Romans 14:13 (KJV) Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. The passage is saying that you are not to judge your brother to the point where you cause him to stumble in his faith, you have to have some grace for your brethren in Christ, not just pure judgment, especially on issues that are not major doctrinal issues. And also especially when the said brother is "weak in the faith", which is the context of the chapter! Romans 14:1 (KJV) Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. But now im going to show you from the Scriptures PROOF that Christians are REQUIRED to judge others: Luke 17:3 (KJV) Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. John 7:24 (KJV) Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1 Corinthians 5:1-13 (KJV) It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. 1 Corinthians 6:1-5 (KJV) Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? 1 Corinthians 11:31-32 (KJV) For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 1 Timothy 5:20 (KJV) Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. Titus 1:10-14 (KJV) For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Titus 2:15 (KJV) These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. 1 Peter 4:17 (KJV) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? You're just like all the other wishy washy, church building hirelings that choose to ignore all the negative verses in Scripture because they EXPOSE your sin and self-righteousness. And of course, you wouldn't want to touch on those negative verses and say controversial things like "Christians are supposed to judge" because then you would lose members of your church and therefore lose money, which you love more than anything. 1 Peter 1:15-16 (KJV) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

What the scripture is saying if the continue to reject judgment of the Godly love you cut them a loose. It doesn't mean rebuke them and find sin. That's the problem only the holy spirit can let us pass Godly judgment for warning not ourselves. Let's be extremely careful here because if you say the wrong thing even unto am unsaved individual God can Judge us for it.

If Christians cannot judge, then please, Pr. Mark, DO NOT “judge” the woman or the pastor who has a Jezebel spirit! Please STOP the confusion 🙄! The Christian has the responsibility to judge, BUT it must be done well, the Bible tells how! But don't come with that "don't judge" because you will end up contradicting the large number of sermons that you have on this platform!

I agree. I think the title should have been something like we shouldn't judge eachother unrighteously or something along those lines. 1 corithians 5 tells us to judge those in the body of Christ and to not judge those outside of the body. We judge our brother and sister out of love by their fruits. It's also supported in the book of Mathew chapter 7 verse 3. When he tells us that we will be judged by how we judge eachother. Meaning we must judge each other righteously out of love, and we will be judge by the Lord righteously out of love.

@@JonathanValdez-49 No sir you are correct. If my brothers and sisters are sinning, I am not gonna sit by and NOT judge. By judging them for their sins, I am hoping they will turn away form it. That is righteous judging is it not? By judging for the sake of their being and not because I feel insecure, or feel prideful and arrogant, that is righteous judging is it not.
