That AND the fact that prayer was never removed. It’s just that staff members couldn’t legally lead students in prayer during class hours. A friend of mine in school in the 90s always said a silent prayer before he ate lunch. It wasn’t even noticeable unless you happened to catch sight of him. He wasn’t preachy. He wasn’t flashy with it. He knew some of us weren’t Christian, yet was still our friend.

@@feliciapate7926 The pledge…is also a prayer of sorts. It is a vow little children of my generation said at the beginning of the school day. Looking back over 69 yrs when I was 6, little did I know that I was entering into a covenant of allegiance to a piece of dirt and piece of cloth. That is idolatry. I believe God excused our youthful ignorance. Even today people will wrap themselves in a flag before they will repent of their sins to Almighty God. Something is very wrong with that. Parents (presumably godly ones) are to have spiritual authority over their own children to raise them up in the nurture and admonition of God. I never trusted anyone to teach my children (now grown) about the tenets of Christianity. That was my job. They can ban all the books they want. This nation planted these seeds long before this generation was born. It is the principle of reciprocity. “Whatsoever a man soweth…”. If the word of truth is hidden in our hearts and the Holy Spirit resides in us, who in the world can stop the word of God? No one. EOS.

Reverend Ed is a Christian nationalist. He believes that the U.S. is a Christian nation. He believes that HIS religion should take the country back. But you can’t , “Take back something that was never yours to begin with. Founding Father John Adams proclaimed this in article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797 -“As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion…” It is understandable how inconvenient this is or Revered Ed, but it is a fact backed by tangible evidence.

I do not recall Jesus saying anything about tolerance. He demanded EXCLUSIVITY. 'No one comes to the Father but by ME'. His terms were that you either quit sinning, or beg forgiveness in HIS name if you DO sin. And save all that nonsense about the poor....your kind don't want to help the poor...Communists have been Christ's primary Earthly enemy, and they've used such language from the start.

@@tgriffin3059 Oh, by the way, when Christ told His disciples to accept lepers, Samaritans, tax collectors, and prostitutes with open arms, that is what is referred to as "tolerance". Just in case you weren't familiar with the actual concept. Also, Christ totally lost control and went bats**t crazy just once during His ministry....when He found the usurers and money lenders (the equivalent in His day of CAPITALISTS, not communists) doing business in the temple. And Christ extended tolerance to NONE of the people you cite...They were given the same offer that WE get. Repent, and humbly seek forgiveness of your sins, and stop sinning....and if you have trouble with the last part-as many of us do, including myself-then the exclusivity of His offer becomes even more critical. But it's all on HIS terms. You go down on your knees and beg forgiveness in HIS name...or you burn in Hell....how much less tolerant can you GET?

@@tgriffin3059 Christ ALONE is given ALL judgment (John 5:22). We ourselves are told repeatedly to refrain from judgment (James 4:12, John 8:7, Matthew 7:1-3). But Christ also urges His followers to practice forbearance (Matthew 6:14). Since you are so interested in Hell, are you familiar with Matthew 25:32-46, where Christ tells us that those who do not care for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized (which includes migrants) will go to their "eternal punishment"? I am curious....are you a "Christian" nationalist?

@@granvillesimmons6033 Jesus also said to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.....He never ordered anybody to commit cultural and national suicide by opening the floodgates to the riffraff of the planet. Part of being good is keeping your own house in order. Remember the parable about the wicked tenants? Remember what Christ said the landowner would DO when he returned? My favorite part about that parable is the matter-of-fact tone....Jesus asked his audience what the land owner would do, because he knew full well that every man listening KNEW what he would do. As for whether I'm a Christian nationalist...I don't even know what that means...If that means that I think we should put our own interests first, then of course I am. That should go without saying, for ALL nations. And Christianity is the dominant cultural influence here, as it was in Europe before us. That's not really even open to question. Whether you refer to the Spanish in the early days, or later the French and the British...this was a Christian continent, and it became a Christian nation. Until very recently, nobody had any problem with this.

Also, I have to say, the fear of this vision that Jesus laid out, that you are speaking of, takes so much humility, a surrender of power, and a willingness to be in service to only Love. I think it is somehow soooo scary for most of us to even imagine. I hold the possibility of such a Love rising up in all of us, in my heart, and believe that it is inevitable, and here right now, in me!
