I also have that Hellraiser boxset, tho I didn't get as good a deal for it as you did! The UK Universal Monsters coffin set is one of my fave boxsets, along with the Planet of the Apes 40-year evolution and Arrow's Gamera set. I really liked what Scream Factory did with the Paul Naschy sets too. -Ryan
Based on what I own: 1. Halloween 2. Friday the 13th 3. Universal Classic Monsters 4. Alien Quadrilogy 5. Chucky Collection Honorable mention: House and House II boxset
your passion for horror and movies overflows every second and in every video. It's, frankly, very inspiring and a rare thing on this platform. big thank you and all the best from Europe.
@@PlanetCHH you're welcome, guys like you give our hobby a good name. Appreciatie the content you put out and It definitely has helped me to find titles and genres that would have been unknown to me otherwise. I think it was the British critic Mark Kermode who ever said that the most kind people in the movie industry were those involved in making horror :). Thank YOU!
I'm so glad I got the Halloween and Hellraiser sets when they were new. They've gotten ridiculously expensive. Same with the Friday the 13th set that came in the tin. I remember before this new box set from Scream Factory was announced it was going for insane prices, also.
Good picks. Lately my favorites are Paul Naschy sets. Phantasm, Halloween, and Nightmare (until the upgrade drops), and Female Prisoner Scorpion are pretty high up for me.
I actually quit collecting about four years ago, but I love how much you love what you love buddy. You seem like a really good natured guy. That's why I watch you. You are VERY into it and that's important man. Lol
Dude, your passion and love for these things is so palatable and contagious and genuine. Mine would probably have to be the F13th set, simply because of the amount of movies you get. Newly gotten tho, I’d have to say the Arrow Demons 1 and 2 set is beyond awesome.
All of these box sets are so amazing. The horror community def gets some gems in that department. The Nightmare On Elm Street DVD box set back in the early 2000s was my first horror box set. You’ve got a lot of great editions in your collection. Thanks for the vid!
I've actually got Hellraiser II set for the weekend. I haven't watched it since AMC had their Fear Fest over the entire month of October. Before Walking Dead absorbed so much of the month.
I love that Phantasm set so much. I’ll admit I payed a lot for it but man it was worth it to me. I wasn’t a fan of the newer boxsets mainly because each movie wasn’t in its individual case.
Hard one but I go with .Friday the 13th Scream factory set .Halloween Scream Factory set .Saw Collection .Dawn of the Dead .The omen steel book Some honorable mentions .The Human Centipede Set .Texas Chainsaw Massacre steel book .Grindhouse
Are those phantasms reverseable artworks? I just seen your video today of you finding that box set from 3 years ago lol. I want that set hella bad, but it's too expensive.
@@vincentzombi3916 Yeah the ones of I seen reviewed all had black covers with the ball on them. That's cool that they have the original movie poster covers. Makes me want it more.
Definitely the Friday the 13th Box set high end wise is my favorite. My other would be the Universal Monsters Essential Collection since those films hold a place in my heart from childhood but Friday the 13th Is the legit first horror franchise I got to watch uncut and it holds a special place in my heart. Also that Phantasm box set is brilliant I remember working at Best Buy at the time it came out and the price was pretty high on it but my co-worker said they are running a small sale and with the employee discount it knocked more money off of it and bam I got it for a steal.
Do you have the Green box Reanimator Special Edition with the vial in a slot on the left side? It's Anchor Bay. That is one of my personal favorites of my collection
I have 3 of the 5 box sets, Friday, Hellraiser and Phantasm, my other two would be my Nightbreed Limited 3 disc set from Scream Factory, and my original out of print Dawn of the Dead .
I love Jason takes manhattan and it hit me when you too that case out. While I don’t get that I love New York poster that is iconic, the transfer is great and the audio is pristine. Love that film
This is why physical media is far superior to digital. You have great memories attached to physical media. You can’t do that with digital. You just sit on your couch and click the purchase button. Great list Christian, but now you have to do a part 2 with only single releases! 🙃
Top 5 horror physical media releases of all time 5. The fly collection / bul ray 4. Evil dead 2 / vhs 3 . Friday 13th collection / bul ray 2. Sleep away camp / vhs 1. Halloween collection / bul ray
01. Nightmare On Elm Street (VHS; Orig poster art) 02. Freddy's Revenge (VHS; Orig art) 03. Dream Warriors (VHS; Orig poster art) 04. Dream Child (VHS; Carriage art) 05. Spasms (VHS) As much as I love every title in my collection and even though I have all of these titles on blu-ray, I would have to go with the vhs versions. All of these were some of my earliest, if not the earliest of my purchases. If I could, I would probably love to get Betamax versions of the first 3 Elm Streets. Besides catching the first 2 on HBO, my earliest memories were tied to the Beta versions. Spasms is one that I rented from one of the last independent video stores in Cedar Rapids. I rented it around the time that Anaconda came out. For some reason, I liked it enough to inquire about buying it outright. They agreed, so the copy I have is the same one I rented. It's all about the memories.
I like the original vhs covers to ,, On my dvds of nightmare on elm st films the end of nightmare part two does not have the original score music...and nightmare part 5 dan's death some of it has been cut, i was wondering if it is like that on the blu rays ??
@@wendymichelle3131 If you're referring to the end credits of part 2, it should be a song that goes "have you ever seen a dream walkin'... well, I did". Unfortunately, none of blu-rays are uncut. So, yes, Dan's death is still cut. Since Scream Factory were able to do the F13 set, hopefully they will be allowed to do a proper Elm Street set as well.
Friday the 13th number one for me for sure. So hyped for this, waited too long. Universal monsters definitely deserves a spot. Dawn of the Dead dvd set since they haven’t released a proper blu ray of this damn flick.
They haven’t released a proper dawn blu ray?? Second sight have released a definite beautiful 4K & blu ray with every cut, a lovly book, booklet! Have you not seen this edition its amazing!!
@@rydog11 either am I..it comes in a 4K edition or regular blu ray but the blus are region locked to Europe!! Its up there with my favorite releases ever!!
