I was raised in a very conservative fundamentalist Christian culture, and was constantly told I couldn't be a Christian for feeling the way I did or having strong opinions on certain things. It's a big part of why I walked away from the church and religion.
They get called Nazi and bigots the way Kanye West was. So clearly male celebrities get treated worse for voicing there political beliefs then women are. Its way worse to call someone a bigot then it is to call someone a witch.

I'm a straight man and an atheist, and I've been a Taylor Swift fan for twenty years. Her talent just keeps on growing, and she is a sweet and caring person. I don't understand why anyone would hate on her.

This is a common talking point among Christian fundamentalists. When I came out as gay at 17, many of the adult Christians around me at the time told me that I would never be happy, that’d I’d never get married or have a family, that I would see God’s judgement in my life, and that’d I’d get sick and die of AIDS. It was disgusting behavior from people I looked up to while growing up in the church. It definitely opened my eyes and made me take a long hard look at Christianity. I still considered myself a Christian when I came out, but seeing how Christians around me reacted to my coming out made it very clear to me there was no room for a person like me in the church. I consider myself agnostic atheist now .

I never really felt any way about Taylor Swift. Until almost every conservative I know decided she's the worst thing ever. Her music may not be my genre, but I sure appreciate her now. :)

Yeah... Christians love to tell other Christians they're not actually Christian. I remember a Christian woman asking me what made me a Christian. I proudly told her because I believed in God and Jesus and I was a kind person. She immediately shook her head no, argued and proceeded to belittle me. That's when I knew I wanted nothing to do with those types of people. I still believe in God and Jesus still inspires me but I consider myself to have my own special religion 💖

I got all sorts of toxic messages about traumatic and painful things that happened because god was punishing me. I am a natural skeptic. I couldn’t get behind Santa as a kid and only believed enough in the surface to participate in the fun. So I didn’t buy into the religion but I still absorbed that shit… that I must be a bad person if I’m going through hardship and pain. It’s bad. I have plenty of actual ‘satanic’ music she can church out. The members probably aren’t satanists, but they like pissing off these people with satanic messages and imagery.

I still consider myself a Christian, but I'm a liberal Democrat. I read the bible, but I do not attend church because I cannot find one liberal enough. I do not preach to people. I instead chose to live as Jesus did. Loving and accepting of all kinds of people. This current world is so full of hate and I'm honestly so sickened of how so called Christians act these days. Jesus would hate Christianity today. So many people use it to be hateful, disgusting, judgmental and xenophobic towards others. Instead of showing love, compassion. Not to mention all the conspiracy theories that further divide humanity. They want to burn the world down and it's disgusting! The USA was built on religious FREEDOM. We all have the right to practice whatever religion we want. We all have the right to choose how we want to live in this world. However, you should NEVER force your beliefs down peoples throats, and religion should NEVER come between the law & basic human rights! I support freedom of religion. I support freedom of gender, I support the LGBTQ community. I support the right to choose abortion and birth control. I support immigration. These are all basic human rights. ❤️
I wouldn't say to look for a "liberal church", look for a God Fearing Church if you're serious. Also you mention Christians are "judgmental" I would encourage you to read John 7:24 which tells Christians to judge righteously. So I would ask the question, Are you following a "god" that conveniently lines up with all your beliefs or are you following Jesus? The Bible categorizes judgement into two categories Unrighteous and Righteous judgement (John 7:24, Matthew 7). Revelation 3:15-16: "15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

Not a fan of Taylor Swift music (I like metal and electronic), but you know what? After hearing her speak on whats important to her, I can say I'm a fan of her as a person. Its refreshing to know there are goodhearted Christians still out there (I'm an ex-Christian, atheist and once you're outside of that box you realize how bigoted and evil a lot of people pushing that belief system are). But again... I'm glad there are still some Christians out there pushing for BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS. Thanks for the video! I heard a lot of the talk growing up from people like the "karma is a god" chick. It caused me to think I couldn't get pregnant because I was doing something wrong, I was sinning or sinned. Turns out the women in my family has a history of fibroids they didn't tell me about. So god wasn't punishing me, all I would have had to do it more extensive doctor visits and I'd have kids. I'm 47 and going to have a full hysterectomy in Nov. I literally started growing the fibroid as soon as I hit puberty, I didn't stand a chance. It's sized currently, compared to a 4 1/2 old fetus. SIGH. So to the people struggling, there's NO entity punishing you, take care of yourself, doctors and science are a beautiful thing! You can be WHOLE.

as someone who was atheist for a long, long time. Who recently turned to christianity, i couldnt agree more but its NOT just christians. My catholic friend is actually worse then nearly every christian i've spoken to and treats me as if im stupid, small, and can't think because i refuse to follow Catholicism because i don't like how possessive and aggressive they are with what you can and cannot believe. Its just a shame that religion was created to insight division and only a handful of people can see it. I'd never insult someone for their beliefs but its time the world wake up, and realize that this isnt what jesus had in mind. Religion is the true evil because it divides each group. You can love god, and believe in god, without needing a label of a religion.... thats only purpose is division. My catholic friend also told me i cannot be saved even if i turn to god because i havent been baptized. So encouraging right!

The thing that's ironic to me is that these people will point fingers at artists like Taylor Swift and call her demonic but then blindly follow people like Joel Osten and Kenneth Copeland. I don't listen to too much of Taylor's music and it's just not really my thing but I can admit her music is catchy and find myself occasionally in the mood to listen to pop but to call her demonic or a witch is laughable.
