I don't think people understand how unique her voice is. Her chest tone is getting darker with age as is typical of mezzo sopranos, but her falsetto range is preserved

That’s not unique at all. It’s typical of singers who care for their voices. The voice is just a set of muscles, if you take care of them like any other muscle, they’ll serve you a long time.

I’ve liked how everyone only looks at the E5 belt in this song as the hardest part. Christina’s transition from chest to falsetto back and forth throughout the song is the hardest thing to do and doing it well.

I won’t say the E5 is the best part, but it is the note she hit that encouraged Disney to allow her to record the song. She’s been on record saying it was the note that changed her life.

Christina's voice has really matured over the years. She sounds way better now than she did when she sang live years ago like at the VMAs years ago when she did "Genie in a Bottle." It's really good to see that she's still got it but better than before! I hope she can come back with some good songs in the near future. She looks great.

I love how she SANG her FACE AWWF, and people are focusing on her coat (Which to me the whole outfit looked good), and her lips. You can really see how negative people are when you hear this loud ass soul voice with this lyrical angelic ability sangin and that's all you focus on. She literally brought the damn house down, and people see her, but can't hear her. Thank God for those of us that can appreciate talent.

@@chico_fanmade8129 Both versions are amazing - both versions were featured on the Mulan DVD. I like X-Tina's on the Mulan DVD better than Lea's. Lea's is too clean and "studio-like;" X-Tina's is PURE HEART & SOUL! If you never watched that version, go watch it! It is amazing!

People. Her voice isn't damaged. She just simply aged. And that's the normal course of all vocal chords. Have you heard of wear and tear? Like our knees when we age? It's still impressive she could sing like that.
