Christina Aguilera may have taken a few years off to raise her son, but the singer proved she's back in a big way on the "American Idol" finale Wednesday night (May 26).
Her voice got bigger and bigger as the song entered the home stretch, but she never let things get out of control, and brought the tune home with a simple, breathy "You lost me."
And as the "Idol" audience gave her a much-deserved standing ovation, it became clear that Aguilera still has got the goods to go up against anyone. - MTV news.

They didn’t stand for her because at this time everyone was sure she was trying to copy lady Gaga.... meanwhile Gaga used Christina as an inspiration to be a better singer... now that’s all over and Gaga flopped really bad afterward for a few albums and maybe worse cause of all the hype that put her way up there and she came crashing down like a fallen star with her next two albums... what goes around comes around. now they’re both doing really well. but still one cannot forget all the haters that wanted to bring Christina down.

I've seen only gay guys r hyped over the album. Gaga went all out LGBT advocate. Fuck it. What a shame. I used to love her music round paparazzi era.

One of the rare times she's not forcing her larynx all the way down for that "deeper" sound. THAT'S why her sound in this performance is super clear, resonant, and beautifully agile. Her voice is second to none when she let's it resonate naturally
