@@equivalentexchangeisalie5726 "Married with Grandchildren" would be about Peggy and her fifth husband Eduardo, who constantly have to avoid Bud (resp. Kelly) loading of the fruit of his (her) loins at their retirement domicile in Florida Keys. Or: It would be about lonely grampa Al, still living in the same house, driving the same car, cursing the same wife he shot a long time ago in "self-defence"...
@@zzzvain9710 lol no need to be rude. Just saying the statement "this interview was right before her diagnosis" is incorrect. This interview is from 2012 at the Women In Film Crystal plus Lucy Awards. Christina was diagnosed in 2021 during the shootings of "Dead to me".
@@Bugeye928 Its ok u r deranged. But at least u learn to copy from google every info. U discover hot water. Bravo we didn't know all those things. Why u copy things from wikipedia? U have 10 age born in 2015
You can see Ed O'neill touching Christina all the time and not bothering her....!!!!...that shows how He was Respectful and Caring for Her All the time..!!!!!..otherwise there's no way he could put his hands even close to Her..!!....ED was such a good Man..and still is..!!!!!!
He is everything to her. 11years she grew up every day near him. He touch and hug her billion times they repeat some sets 20x just to get perfect vibe. I remember in early season 1 she was kind afraid of him but as they repeat touching hugs and look in eyes, she gained trust quickly. We can thank to that to Kate too. She was so relaxed and patient with her on every set and repeat clip. Kate used to tell her just to be herself like it was real life.
*TRUE STORY:* My dad filled in for the preacher at our church. He told the congregation about how shows on modern TV horribly portrayed families. *THEN* he drove us 90+mph to get home to watch this show🤣🤣🤣
@@gorgeous6737u can see every touch on shoulder meant to her so much. Ed knows what hes doing and she loves him to death. My fav show ever. Nostalgic for my late 80s when i was 6, 7 age watched em 1st time. But later in repeat it was even more beautiful amazing.
i'm afraid not, certainly not todsy, even if they could... cnesorship would make it damn near unwatchable because people will be like "why is this so different now? this used to be funny"
I don't think so. Because the thing with "cult" TV shows is, you love them and they have made such nice memories, but if someone tries to make a "reboot" it usually is crap! I mean it really would need to get the perfect bunch of writers, producers, directors, and even then it would be highly likely to not please the fans of the original. So in my mind it is better to let the cult shows be, still there and enjoyed by all, and invent new things to show on TV or other more modern viewing platforms.
@@vooshmoozik6185 Thanks, though I regret some of my wording, because I did not provide any proof of why a reboot is usually crap. It is just an impression I have had through decades of watching things.
@@pev_ psychologically it almost always is... as new viewers not familiar with the original have no nostalgia from it, and new people will automatically say "this is not the same"
What strikes me is how comfortable they are with each other. So often you'll see two actors together that on screen seem to be really close for whatever reason but in interviews they are distant. Not here .
Their mutual admiration for eachother is truly heartwarming. Growing up with the bundys was the best time of my life looking back. TV didnt depress ya, it made ya laugh until it hurt. These two were a massive contributing factor.
that was one of the most beautiful interviews Ive ever seen. Both of them are so sweet and they have a heartwarming chemistry like father and daughter. I really like them both and I love how they're both friendly touching each other. Married with children was great, but nowadays I love Modern Family and also dead to me so much more. Im just thankful for these two sweethearts
It wouldn't be the same, & nowhere near as good...especially if some Twitter activist got offended about it, stirred up a mob & then the show would get cancelled.
Chtistina's look so pretty back then and even now too. I had a crush on her. The show was the best. After All in the Family it was Married With Children. What a cast. Ed O Neil did best t.v. dad.
Ed is the actual definition of "Second Dad" to Christina. And I get it. I have a friend who was one of the kids in a theater run of Peter Pan. The woman that played Mrs. Darling? She has called her "Mom" since she was 9 years old. Lizzy is currently 31!
There's a video of Christina's sitcom after Married With Children, i forget the name of the show, but Christina's in a house, presumably hers, and there's a knock at the front door, she opens it up, and there's Ed, and he says, just like Al Bundy, "Where have you been little girl?"
I've always wanted to know who came up with the pumpkin name for Kelly. Was it a writer or Ed? My money is that Ed said it once and everyone loved it so it stuck.
Modern family is not a revaluationary tv show. It was not the first show to have a wide verity of carectors. Soap was and is still the first tv show to cast to have straight and bi.actors back in the 80's
I just love seeing these two enjoying each other's company,it's so wholesome and heartwarming, loved Married With Children, and all their projects, praying for Christina
