Christmas At Disney's Animal Kingdom! | Holiday Puppets Are Out, Rides & More Night Time Fun!

In today's vlog we head to Disney World's Animal Kingdom to see some of the holiday offerings, look for some festive snacks (we didn't have much luck) and ride some rides. We got to see the holiday puppets, which are amazing! Then we rode a few rides and headed into Pandora: the world of Avatar before the park closed. Pandora is always so magical looking but especially at night! We hope you had fun hanging out at Animal Kingdom tonight! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

I agree that Jackson would love those animal puppets! Thanks for the tip on how some rides at the end of the night are bumped up so less people get in line. It would have thrown me off for sure but I'm sure the CM's want to go home and it helps them as well.

My feeling is they bump up the wait times so people BUY the Genie+. Not liking the new system.

Exactly! They do that during the day, too! But, during the evening, they might bump them up a few minutes to get people to leave. Before Genie+, Rise of the Resistance was listed as 90min, but we got in line and were off the ride in less than an hour total!

People under estimate AK. I love it. Instead of being crowded and shoulder to shoulder you can always find a path that's not busy. The paths around the tree of life are great to just walk. The music is so relaxing. That path from Africa to Pandora is a best kept secret. Use it all the time. Pandora at night is amazing!!! We will be taking our kids, daughters 3rd time and our sons 1st in 2023 ( he was born this year so want to be a little older since we only go every couple years). I can't wait to share the Disney magic with them and see their faces. I'm grown and I get excited cause I love going to Disney.

I love Expedition Everest, definitely my favorite Disney coaster, by why they made it the individual lightening lane attraction over the safari is very confusing to me. I would definitely be willing to pay extra for the safari if it meant skipping an hr+ line.

I feel like this is the one case where Disney used a bit of discretion... Making people pay an extra premium to see animals at an animal park probably would have resulted in even more pitchforks parading around than there already are.

You can check on Genie plus times without purchasing. Go to My Disney app, click on the bottom right where the 3 lines are and then click on the Tip Board and there it is. Love the Christmas Puppets at Animal kingdom.

I don`t understand why so many places close before the park closes, I get that crowd numbers may go down later in the day but anyone who visits the park should be able to get the whole experience, including the food.

My family and I went to Disney World last week, and at Animal Kingdom, they had penguin and reindeer puppets, and my niece and nephew LOVED them

Out of all of Disney being there at night, I think I like Pandora the most Its beyond words how the bioluminescence brightens everything! I could sleep there if I was allowed!

I've always loved the AK tree. Also the Studios tree - if it's the same - with the gigantic Santa heads/faces all over it - so festive! Those lanterns are gorgeous! I've never seen Pandora, but if I ever get back that way, I want to see it at night, for sure! When the crowds are lower than usual and they don't have the staff to accommodate the park, food stands are the first to close.

My daughter loved the puppets! That little dog was a hit with her!! Thing we've learned this trip the rides that are dark, are a no go, shes two and she cries uncontrollably.

My theory for not making Kilimanjaro Safaris an individual paid Lightning Lane attraction is that I could see guests complaining that they “didn’t see any animals” and demand their money back, and Disney just wanting to avoid that potential headache.

The Disney Genie is super flawed! I wish it would have a feature where you would make up your list in advance and then the Genie just reminds you of what's next on your list. Also, personally I would say, NEVER purchase Genie+ for Animal Kingdom unless you're park hopping to it, which is completely different! What I would do is purchase Lightning Lanes for Flight of Passage and then use the other Individual choice for something else at another park if you're park hopping.

Great to see my idea of jumping in line just before closure turn out perfect. Since all resort guests are now allowed 30 min earlier in the parks I see the “jumping in line before closure” tactic a bit like the new “Ropedrop”.😃 My new plan of attack tactic is to Ropedrop the second popular attraction in the morning and than jump in line just before closure at the nr 1 attraction. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to make a video of the most popular attractions and there real wait times compared to the posted wait times like 10 minutes or so before closure? I think it could safe many people lot’s of money and sleep and possibly a bigger change to ride those fancy rides in a much reasonable wait time. Thx for the many great videos and a big shout out from Belgium! 🇧🇪

Just an observation for others: On the Disneyland app sometimes they don’t list specialty/seasonal items on the mobile order tab, but it can be found on the menu tab and available for regular ordering. (Edit: 12:24 like that lol) And sometimes if regular items aren’t available at the moment they won’t show up on mobile order and can’t be ordered in the regular line.

Is the safari shutting down at sunset a new thing? My husband and I went for our honeymoon in 2018 and the safari was open past sunset because we did it at night.
