In today’s vlog we celebrate Christmas Eve at home! This really felt like our first real Christmas Eve with Jackson, he was so excited for Santa. We made Christmas cookies for Santa and we decorated the tree and then we headed out to Give Kids the World Village for Night of a Million Lights. Jackson absolutely loved seeing all the lights and dancing to the music. We had such a special Christmas Eve and we made memories that we’ll never forget. Thank you for being a part of our night. Hey Guys! Merry Christmas! I worked in the children’s development clinic at Nemours/duPont Hospital for Children in DE for 22 years as an OT. It’s very common to hear babbling again! Jackson’s brain is working so much faster than his mouth will allow him to say each word! He is also just so excited! It’s also part of child development that they will go backwards a little bit in one area of development, like speech, when another area of development, like fine or gross motor, is getting to explode! And Tim, crawling continues to be very beneficial for children as they grow up. It helps our vision develop and eye muscles move. Physically it helps our bodies gain more strength in the shoulders, neck and hips that will help our bodies support our body weight as we grow and also stability at our joints to help us control things like our fingers! It’s kind of like toddlers working on their core strength for new motor coordination that is coming soon!🎄

Merry Christmas Tim, Jenn and Jackson. Don't worry about babbling. Excitement is part of it. Also, Jackson's brain is working so fast and taking in so much, and way ahead of his mouth and ability to express it all. Such an amazing and fun age.

My son was like this and now my 3 year old grandson does this as he goes through learning spurts. My son's pediatrician told me learning is so incredibly prolific from age 2 to 4. It is so fascinating to watch. They are super sponges. 😊

Honestly the language thing isn’t too big of a deal. It’s just him trying to make sense of things. He really can’t remember much until age 4 so it’s going to be back and forth for a while. He’s going to get it sooner or later.

I’ll never forget when I brought my daughter to Disney World and had that same moment. I caught her eyes lighting up when Tinkerbell zip lined from the castle and it was the most fulfilling feeling I’ve ever had. That’s what life is about Tim, thanks for sharing your joy with all of us!!

There's a lot of great advice in the comments about Jackson's word choices - I agree wholeheartedly that he's very young and his brain is physically still forming/making connections. He'll forget things, remember them, change them, modify words, test everything. It's completely normal. This is the age where he will explore and expand as his body starts to move around independently. The less you specify the more he will expand. If it seems like he's hesitating, or unsure about an answer, try letting let him work it out if you can. He'll take longer to think things through, but every time he does he'll form new neural pathways. Thanks so much for the video!

Son has the same Disney ear hat. Sadly, we weren't able to make it to GKWV this year, but it's such an awesome thing they do at this time of year. First Tracker video I watched was Jen and Tim walking in a park talking about how they may not ever be able to conceive. Every time I see a big moment with them and Jackson now, I think of how blessed they are to have him. Makes me so happy for them 🥺🥰

Ok the best parts of the video is how emotional Tim got at the pure joy in Jackson's face. That made me tear up. Incredibly sweet. I totally teared up when Jen showed the pictures of Jackson and how big he has gotten and so fast! You two of you have such a sweet and pure love for your child that is amazing. Working with children we learned that development is not a straight line upwards. Think of a circular / spiral pattern that goes up and down but is trending upwards generally. Kids may slip into previous stages for a bit if they're tired or excited for example. Jackson seems to be right on track!

NoaML is so magical. My son and I were able to volunteer at the Icee booth on Thanksgiving, and we plan to make it a tradition! GKtW is one of the top charities in the US for using their funds efficiently. Such a great organization.

I taught my kids to be polite, courteous, and thoughtful, also. The hardest thing to teach is to except No as an answer after they asked so politely. Good luck with that one, lol....... Don't be surprised when he says,..... But I said please and may I..!!!! 🤣
