I have an 8x8 design wall made from foam insulation boards. Do you think that it could be used for blocking. I have never tried to block a quilt before.

It could work if you can lay it flat rather than upright and if you can get it wet.

It's Kim's original design putting various sizes of flying geese together using Christmas fabrics.

This was a nice comprehensive video on how to do all the finishing things, all in one place. There are many tutorials on these things, all separated out in different videos; which can be a challenge to find, if you’re trying to refresh a detail or two, or just want to finish it all and don’t want to track down several different videos. Nicely done. The way you joined the ends of your binding was a little unclear, however. It was hard to see how/where you measured to. Since you enclosed your casing while stitching on the binding, why not just put your seamed edge there? 😉 Just a thought. Overall, it was a very nice lesson. And the quilt turned out just gorgeous! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’m trying to remember if this was raw edge appliqué? It looks like it. 🌷

Thanks Susan! Sorry about the details that weren't quite clear enough. We did a video a few years ago, which shows the same process - start watching at 14:51, I give a more in-depth instructions on my method of binding. The title of the video is Binding on the Longarm. Yes, it was raw edge applique, done with wool that I felted.
