Hi Todd, I have a question about the income tax. If there is no agreement between Laos and another country on retirement tax, do you also have to pay a retirement tax in Laos if you retire in Laos? Maybe you already answered this question. Thank you for all you and Neenee do for the Laos people and for Mina. I really appreciate it.

The only foreigners I know paying tax in Laos are those with businesses or working here. Have not heard of any retiree paying tax here. If you're on a government pension no doubt you'd be paying tax in your home country. I guess the Lao government is happy enough for you to spend the rest of it here 👌 If anybody can add to this please, feel free.. 👍

It depends on your nationality. If you are an American than you are subject to taxation even if you no longer live there. I have heard that some Americans have changed nationality to escape the power of uncle Sam. If you are from the UK for example then you are advised to contact the tax office of your new residency. It would appear from my discussion with a number of poms that, the Lao tax office is very difficult to find.@@NowinLao

Humanity lives on !!! How excited is Mina receiving these Chrissy gifts. It would be her very first experience ,one would imagine in 6 /7 years. Well done Darryl with the etch a sketch,pity more kids didn't get these ,instead of glued to Mob phones all day. The Laos/American lady was so brave to tell her childhood story,very moving. Dear Todd and Neenee and of course Mina it was such a joy to be in your presence. And I am shure Mina has multiple talents. I witness her drawing on the stone she picked. And I can tell you for a girl who barely painted in her life , she got it all in 5 min and make an almost perfect copy from what she saw in front of her. And super focused. Her stone among the others will be in the wall of fame. And give it a special place on it. Why? Mina is a incredible little spark in a world were we need more of that wonderful positive vibes ,that she brings with her her smile. ❤❤❤ Love you guys 🍀❤️🍀❤️ and keep the good vibes coming. Mina sure loves Christmas 🎄 she deserves all those wonderful gifts. The last time that I was in Laos was 2001. Now, it has changed a lot for the better of course. There's so many tropical plants there i truly love it. Over here in the States there are nothing but oak trees and pine trees here in Northern Virginia. The only thing great here is when the cherry trees starts to blossom in Washington, DC in the spring time. I live just 30 minutes away maybe this year I might make some videos....maybe?

The last three vlogs were awesome. The only one that was the drive to the island 🏝️. The new vehicle was a little harder to hear you. With today's new Cam you have solved that. it's not always about having to live in a foreign country to do some good in the world. all you need is the incentive to be a good person. only need to visit your desired location of interest and share information, it's not all about money. as they say give a man a fish and he will feed his family for a day, teach a man how to catch fish and he will feed his family for a lifetime.

I think these are her very first time to receive some great Christmas Gifts around the world. We are so proud of her and see how she react to the new things that she never had before, and I'm so grateful to the kind people who donated girts to Mina. We all know that its very difficult thing for Mina to understand your language so you are her dad now you should offer her some English class. I know Mina is a little sweet and smart girl who can learn things as quickly as other kids too.

Great videos guys. I must say I was surprised at the commercialisation of Christmas in Laos but where there is a buck to be made I've learned to expect it. We haven't been to Laos for years but do plan on more time at "the farm" and visiting relatives in VTE and Pakse. While I'm no vlogger I did post a few videos years ago on Utube under the "Joe Dirt Laos" guise just for kicks. I love the place and soon plan to spend much of our winters there. Happy holidays from the Midwest.

Sharp picture at night in the market, around 3:15 we were counting your freckles! 😉 I reckon those blokes were catching South American catfish, we have caught them before in some of the fishing parks in Thailand.

I think that's a first I seen fishing rods,I do a lot (at least every other day..except now during the winter) of fishing here and I try to keep an eye out through the vids. The fish are Catfish or Shark Catfish but I am unsure what one or where they're from. There has been a number of non-native fish introduced to Laos and SEA for fishing ponds like that one an many are of South American origin which those sort of look like they may be and that is a tournament that's going on.

What a great vlog, Todd, surpassing all the other great vlogs! This is so packed full of love joy and happiness, that for once, words fail me. Firstly, your new camera is wonderful as is the mike that you used at the end.
