This card is incredibly beautiful Dawn. I have never had luck w heat n stick powder I usually just adhere straight to D diamonds but I'm gonna try it again. Really fantastic card!!
OMGosh Dawn, it was meant to be that I found you tonight! I couldn't decide what Christmas Card I wanted to make. I live in Colorado and wanted something that kind of reflected our state. This is PERFECT. It looks just like this on a cold winter night in the mountains when there is a light snowfall...I have about 3-4 jars of heat n stick and the same amt in Diamond Glitter. That is when I got on you tube searching for Heat n Stick tutorials..I found your tutorial and THE Card I want to make for my 2015 Holiday Cards...Perfect! I can't thank you enough. I will be back..Heading to the craft room NOW...I have stamps that almost match..I will be following you for sure..I putting this on my Pinterest page too..(so I never lose you again.) lol sorry this is so long~
Such a stunning card, Dawn! I sure do wish Stampin Up would bring back the Dazzling Diamonds. I didn't know you could heat emboss on the window sheets. Does it warp them? And do you need to put it on the lower heat setting?
Curious as to what I may have done wrong. I did the dazzling diamonds version and the glitter was stuck so thick, the trees didn't show through. Any tips?
Love this card. Hope your enjoying your trip to Thailand What would you suggest using sing Heat and Stick #100625 is not available? Also what would you suggest as a substitution of the Iridescent embossing powder #101930? Laura
finally i see the fault i've made! didn't use any heat and stick powder and i was wondering, why there wasn't so much glitter on my card as in your video *lol your video helped a lot. thank you! finally i can use all my other glitter powder too *s
Gorgeous!! It is hard for me (conservative me) watch you use a whole piece of the silver behind, couldn't you punch out or cut the center out and still have a beautiful border¿ TFS!
I find if you cut the centre of an underneath sheet out, after a trip through the post, the ridges of the edge of the cut out section show through to the front, in the form of a creased line, where it gets compressed in the mail so tempting though it is, I use a full sheet underneath. I've even found the red line tape edge can show through an upper layer that way too, even with a fairly thick top layer.
+simone mcloughlin - I'm sticking my nose in here... I used to save scraps of acetate from packaged products. Stampin' Up! sells an acetate product called Window Sheets and I like the quality of it better than the packaging scraps.
Beautiful card - being conservative is one thing, but being over conservative is not pretty to the receiver especially if the card has gone thru the mail
I wish she'd slow down when she says her website at the beginning. I watched about 20 videos and rewound white a few times before I could even figure out what she said. I thought it irritated me to NOT know what the heck she was saying, now it annoys me more than anything to know and I have no idea why.
