No more dryer sheets required. Make your own glitter embossing powder & you can do this so much easier: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-opEYeATgTm0.html
While browsing youtube, I found your video. Glad I did. This card is my inspiration for my Christmas 2015 cards. Thanks Dawn for your videos that are clear and you get to the point! Great Job!
This is a very pretty card, I really love all the glitter! The dryer sheet is really a cool idea and makes such a beautiful card. I remember a card with a feel like that from when I was a young girl (a million years ago) Ha! Thank you for your beautiful cards, love them all!!!
Love this card and recycling dryer sheet too. I would probably adhere the dryer sheet to the back of the white card stock in case the adhesive doesn't stick very well
I did something similar except once I got the image paper drawn, i brushed with a light coat of mod podge, sprinkled glitter lightly and let dry. Then i mod podged the dryer sheet on top. Let dry then trim. That way the dryer sheet traps the glitter behind it so it doesnt get knocked off.
Your card is gorgeous! I love the technique but wondering why you have to use the dryer sheet. Why not just apply the glitter directly to the card once you apply the glue stick. Does the dry sheet just give the card some dimension?
That is awesome! I always used old dryer sheets to scrub tough spots in my tub but this is much better! But is there a way to keep the glitter from coming off all over the place?
Dawn, this is so beautiful! I'm one of your downlines (hobby demo). In photoshop there is a filter that you can apply to a photo called "Gauzian Glur" (sp?) and that dryer sheet gives it the same effect, so clever! You always inspire me so much, your attitude is always so positive and your creativity is endless. Big hugs and holiday wishes! Kathy
Beautiful card! Question, do you get glitter falling everywhere after you cover the sheet with it? Do you need to press the glitter into the sheet? Thanks
I wondered the same thing but having tried it both ways: glue stick and spray adhesive the spray holds far better as the stick dries it does loose some of the glitter over time but the spray it is stuck and the dryer sheet stops it from falling through as it has adhered to both cardstock and the sheet!! AWESOME I LOVE THIS!!Hope this helps, give it a go it was so much fun to use glitter and not be vacuuming it up for days!!xo Michelle
Hi Cynthia. This set is retired along with some of the colors used, but the good news is that there is a new stamp set coming available in the new Holiday catalog. And now instead of blendabilities, there are new alcohol markers available.
It's a pity that your ornamental pine links not only take you only to the Stampin Up site rather than to the stamps themselves, but the site apparently no longer sells those particular stamps. Any suggestions on where to find them?
