I think whether a skirt, collar, or crate looks best totally depends on your tree. I think some trees look weird with a collar if they aren’t wide enough on the bottom but some look great. I personally use skirts except for the tree in our master which I got a crate for.
I love the way your living room turned out. I love the pops of red. The garland on the mantel is beautiful. I use command hooks to hold up my garland on the mantel. I liked the garland on the mirror, it brought in some color.

Everything looks so beautiful, your Christmas tree looks like it was just cut down from the mountains and brought in I love it. A trick to doing your shelf garland use chicken wire. Attach chicken wire to the top of your shelf. Let it hang down some, then you can attach your garland and shape it so much easier. If you have wire left over, it that can be seen, just tuck it under the garland or you can cut it too. Chicken wire is wonderful to use anywhere when you need or want to attach garland or other festive decorations. You did a fantastic job! My son can relate to your husband, he gets sent up to both of our attics to get my stuff down. I bought him a headlamp to see better 🤣😂😅. Fantastic, beautiful, and so magical too.

I am going for a traditional/ classic Christmas. My big thing is nativities so I have over 30 to put out all over my house With loads of colored lights. I love your tree! If it were mine would add just a handful of the dark green and red ornaments to bring the colors all into the tree without taking away from its naturalness.
Beautiful tree! I love Hobby Lobby’s Christmas decorations. I really like the rings and pots for the tree, but I always have a velvet tree skirt around the tree.
What a awesome deal, on the tree, good for you!! Yes, please do a diy for the bells, etc., that would be great! The living room looks welcoming, & cozy, just beautiful!! Our tree skirt, was a diy taking a circular red & green checked tablecloth, I embroidery Merry & Bright- in white, with a white pompom edging! I put some love into it, so it definitely goes under the tree! Thanks to Derek for always doing the treacherous, going grabbing the totes, in the attic! A tip for the garland, use command straps! They're like a stretchy rubber material that wraps around the garland and can be easily removed like a normal command strip. The only place I can find them is Amazon.
I literally just saw this tree in HL yesterday, and thought it was absolutely gorgeous! If you paid anything less than the sale price you def got a screaming deal! She ain’t cheap, but she sure is purty! 🎄❤

I am a new subscriber and I wanted to say how very much I enjoyed watching you transform your living room. I especially liked your tree! I’ve wanted a flocked tree, but have been a bit leery if I could make it work. You have given me the courage to go for it…only on a bit smaller scale. Maybe next Christmas will be the year I go big for a snowy wonderland. Would you please share where you got your candle holders that are on your coffee table? I love them…especially with the red candles.
@@lovinglifeasmegan I have 3 weenie dogs and I struggle to have a pet friendly home that’s also nice looking and easy to keep clean. Our living space ends up being a mix of comfort of gaming/tv time, pet toy war zone and wanting it to be pretty for mental health. It’s definitely a journey and takes time to fit into your budget.

We had an old lamp in the attic that we plugged into an extension cord and throw down to plug into the bathroom outlet. We also had to watch where we walked also, my moms leg came through the ceiling once she’s ok
