One of Lil'Simsie's lots in her world save is set up like a resort on the island with a single lot. I usually have my sims 'vacation' there with their family or friends or newlyweds. I take the time off and they can still travel everywhere on the island and she included two rooms with bed/dressers so you can sleep on the lot. It is pretty immersive other than nightly fees which you can take out as one chunk at the beginning or end.
The cafe on top actually sounds lovely - you probably would stay for a while to enjoy quality time, so it's not that bad to walk three flights of stairs. And then you have the view! It's in a very pretty little city at the river with lots of green - the view would probably be lovely and well worth it!
When James laughed about the café being in the 3rd floor I could just think about how in Japan that happens literally ALL the time! Buildings are filled with shops and restaurants from top to bottom and I actually love that because you find a lot of hidden gems inside just one building!
Some people are SO creative!!! They can picture something in their head and just make it. My sims homes are squares, rectangles, and when I really go crazy L-shaped!! lol
Seeing all this makes me sad I don't own the sims 4. I basically had every sims 3 expension and I spent countless hours building there but compared to 4 you're so limited. But considering how much all the expensions cost I don't think I'll be buying all of the sims 4.
The mailbox thing happens when us builders forget to add a mailbox. I wish we could have the wall mounted mailboxes, like the single ones to put right next to front doors.
That last one looks like something from a dream I had a long time ago. And now I want to begin building my own version. Thanks for the inspiration. That's the best part of these videos.
Builds like the last one make me wish there were a way to operate several ownable venues on one lot, so that you could run them simultaneously and have a functional mall/ shopping center.
I’m currently building a house that would be insanely hard to search for things in. I don’t know when I’ll be finished with it, but man would it be funny to see you search through it all. I asked myself the other day, “What would a house with one of (mostly) every single object in the game look like?” 😂 I love the Christmas build, though! They’re always so magical.
Thanks for actually crediting creators and putting their links and ID in your description! I don’t know many times I am screenshooting people’s videos to get the Origin ID.
After seeing the lot that has everything it might be a fun challenge/ lets play for James to do a build in one sitting that has everything a sim could want and then play with that build as a lets play with a series of goals made up by us. But the challenge is James can't leave the lot or renovate it once he's started playing.
Pretty sure that the place with stained glass windows and benches in the City in a Building build is supposed to be some sort of church or other religious place 😉
Remember the underground apartment you built a few years ago? I would love to see a video of how it works with the new roommate system and if they use the retail and spa and things
Can you do a building challenge where you have to have an object for every single skill in the game (up to the current packs) inside one lot? Bookshelves obviously don’t count unless you can’t get the skill otherwise, and I’d say TVs and computers shouldn’t either if you can get the skill another way but that’s up to you (writing for example needs a computer). It’d be awesome to see if it can be done and still look like a realistic building/house!
Has this already been done with a Super Sim home? Regardless... I feel like you could get some enjoyment out of watching the Super Sim builds if you haven't already 😃
Wow I love that European building with all the flats in it from Dishonored 2! Rosenkäferchen did an awesome job with creating this and it would be so cool to live in there! And I need that corner pub when I buy the uni ep! I was saying we need a multipurpose lot for that world and I love that it even looks awesome in the back!
Magical chapel, James! That's what that place was in the last build! Let us pray to Will Wright. . .but yeah, another selection of truly amazing builds here. I am continually amazed at how much stuff a dedicated builder can get into their lots to make them feel alive. And all the little tricks like using glows from the debug menu to light stuff up, or making a gym look more realistic by cramming all the punching bags between a debug fence. . .it's all very awesome. :D The Basegame Desert School and Pepper's Pub Square were definitely my favorites -- the latter looks like a great addition to Britechester, and the former. . .well, I don't know how much I actually WANT active schooling, but if we did follow the kids to school, this is the kind of place I'd like them to go. :) Great stuff, everyone!
you are thinking of kowloon walled city in hong kong! the land was out of the both chinese and british governments so people lived there for cheap and built up up up.
I don't want him to *finish* it. I want more parts of his playing it uploaded! 🐺 🦁 🐯 🦒 🐻 🐼 🐨 🦓 🐒 🦍 🦧 🐅 🐆 🦏 🐪 🦛 Note: I accidentally deleted this while trying to edit in a word that I left out.
The reasons I love the sims is the amazing build people make!! Like people took time making these outstanding buildings!! 😂 I can only make a simple house.
Hello James! Would you ever consider tendering your let's play builds out to your community? I love your let's plays, but the EA lots are so sad. It would be great to do a 'let's play build for semaj' for the next pack, or even now! Love your work! ♥
I really like this idea! It would mean to world to the community to actually have him use the builds the community makes. Imagine if he picked your build for the next let's play!
I agree, that's an amazing idea! Community gets involved and we also get more lot variety in the videos. I also think it would be interesting to see him start off with a bit more of a challenge in a 'Rags to Riches' for example (where he would have to find a new gym or painters stand to start with).
The cafe on the floor of the hotel rooms is pretty typical in Europe, the point being it’s only for guests having their breakfast or something. It was what I had in Florence Italy at least
I recognize the apartment build from dishonored 2 visited that building a bit due to getting lost a lot in the game. And dr.hypatias office is nice in the game.
My boarding house has 6 roommates and the build is just under 200,000 the bills are just under 6,000 and the roommates pay around 2,000. The more roommates I have the less they pay per person. I ended up putting in a small garden & the roommates will wander out & tend to it. (Sometimes) been debating setting up a painting room for the roommates to wander in & paint for me.
How did it go over his head when he actually mentions that the apartments were based off of "Dishonored 2," ? He even says it around 11.56 time frame. James clearly states the following at the 11.43 time frame... "And upstairs here again we've got some more apartments, obviously all still fairly run down, which I guess makes sense 'cause it's based off Dishonored 2, so that is the point of it."
How does he ignore the fact it is based off Dishonored 2 when he waxes lyrically about the apartments based off the game?? Did you listen or just pre judged without hearing what James said?
I wish Sims 4 would allow multi floor used plots. In britian we have shops/businesses on ground floor and flats (appartments) above. Each are seperate units
