Dear Dani I sat here on Christmas day and watched your video, crying the whole time it was such a reminder of my Son Jed. He loved Sweden and worked up north farming and dog sledding for a couple. We lost him in Ukraine on 24/8/22, he went there to help the people of Ukraine and was a combat medic, he was 27. The photos he took in Sweden were magical. Thank you for your beautiful work.

This video is such a gift; a beautiful, soul warming holiday card. The videography, including the drone footage, is wonderful. Thank you! I managed to muddle through my own NAS set-up a year or so ago, also using QNAP and WD equipment. I found the channel, NAS Compares, invaluable. Just remember that NAS constitutes one backup (or not a backup if your data is not also on your computer) so, ideally, you should have two more, including one copy off-site. My family is involved with horses and just like the dogs they yearn to run, ride, pull, even show off. A lot of people do not know how happy this makes them. Regarding squirrels I’ve studied some on the American Grey and learned that 40% do not make it through each Winter in the woodlands. Obviously the ones we feed all winter stand a better chance but we have Eagles and Hawks here on the Southern WIsconsin area. The other day an Eagle was gliding in tight circles over our neighbors property that has many squirrel nests in the tree tops and screeching. I believe it was trying to get a squirrel to stir from a nest. I even video taped it. Had never seen an Eagle do that before.

Your new bird feeder with its wreath is cute and the birds certainly seem to enjoy it too. We haven't had any decent snow where I am for a couple of years now. It's a bit harder than normal when there's snow, but it's worth it for the relaxing winter season especially with the modern conveniences largely negating the difficulties of snow and cold. Hope I can make the vacation out to the Nordics someday. Thanks for sharing the beautiful and calming scenery.

Such beautiful dogs :) My step/extra-grandmother used to race sled dogs and she also competed in sled racing with her dogs and even won the Swedish championship once. And many of the dogs she bred and trained both won and took 2nd and 3rd place several times. This all happened before my dad met my stepmom and her. But the stories she used to tell us. And all the dogs she had. I miss her, she was an awesome woman, loved nature and animals. tough as nails and she was more of a man than any man I ever knew. Lets just say, you didn't want to be on her bad side that is one thing for sure. She knew how to survive and taught me everything I need to know to survive in the wild without internet or any modern things. She also taught me to respect animals and to earn their trust. To bad that she could not beat cancer, but she gave it a hell of a fight.

Merry Christmas Dani. I spent Christmas eve watching several of your videos. They are so relatable as I love animals so much too. I also have a few tree squirrel friends in my back yard as well as crows and a wild cat that adopted me. I live alone and my animal friends help to keep me company and definitely make me smile. I've been friends with Mama Nuts the tree squirrel for over a year now and have watched her have 3 litters of babies. (she is an excellent mother) Most people don't believe me when I tell them she lets me pet her until I show them the video of her enjoying a butt rub as she munches on a peanut. Keep up the great work! You are a naturally gifted creator/presenter. Thank you for brightening my day😇

Dog-sledding (in Lapland) was one of the best experiences of my life... once the dogs get going, it is so relaxing, all you hear is the sound of the sled gliding over the snow ! And a Merry Christmas to all !

It always amazes me how many people say that it's cruel to make huskies and malamutes run, coincidentally, it's always the same people who have never been on a sled or seen them when they run, they get so excited before a journey or a race and they're always so contented afterwards.... Thank you so much for this wonderful video Dani! Those dogs were gorgeous and while it was very cold, you all had fun. I personally find it very interesting that you were able to record the sounds of the birds flying into and out of the feeders. Also, I am a purist so December 25th is a Pagan holiday and celebration so I do my best to just go out for a walk in a nature preserve. I loved your baby squirrel video and am looking forward to your next one. So sorry you lost all your data from before bu so glad you have a new system. A couple of weeks ago a computer expert friend of mine was working on my computer to fix a problem and it crashed on him. Fortunately he fixed it a week later but I had to use my very old laptop in the meantime. My friend had built two computers for me and rebuilt my last one. I have known him for at least ten years. It's really great to have a friend like him.
